My wife and I decided to try this because we had a BOGO coupon. If just rating this on the food, I’d give this five stars for value and good tasting meals. I had grilled salmon, rice and corn on the cob. My wife had grilled mahi mahi, rice and zucchini. Everything was flavorful! Mark downs for the food taking a LONG time to come out at a time when it wasn’t busy. Also, none of the staff were friendly and just seemed to hate being there. Ambiance was okay. The place is clean. Soundtrack was 80s hits which was weird for a beach grill type place. It’s worth a try if you’re looking for something different. Maybe you’ll have better luck with the service than we did.

Went during lunch time around 12:20. Not busy, only one person in front of me, cool, this should be fast to get my food. I ordered the chicken and pineapple. 25 mins later I get my food. 25 mins! Are you kidding me?! Got my food. Started chowing down on it… I noticed that my chicken is charred burnt. Ok, that’s cool not too bad. Then I noticed my pineapple is charred burnt as well… wtf…seriously? Then I noticed that pretty much my entire chicken and pineapple that I ordered is charred burnt. They took 25 mins to get my order when I was second in line. Then come to find out they over-cooked it… Not worth the time and the cost of the order I placed. Wendy’s would have been a better deal and much more pleasant. Won’t be going back. The second star was for the sweet potato fries, to which is hard to mess up on that. Done.

Boneheads is absolutely phenomenal. Trio taco combo is an excellent menu item. I suggest getting the trio one of each taco. Also the grilled vegetables is a plus for healthy side items here in the South. I would strongly suggest for lunch or even dinner for a change of scenery and food genre.

I had been passing this place and was excited to finally try it. I ordered the PiriPiri BBQ Chicken rice and broccoli with water. My brother ordered the grilled fish, fries, with rice. The first disappointment is the pressure to tip at the register before you’re even served the meal. Who does that? So there was a $ 5 tip left on a $ 27 meal already. A pretty hefty price on such a meager serving of food. Once the food was served, I noticed the young man that brought the food to me put his palm on my broccoli!!! Really??? Naturally, I didn’t eat that. So the chicken was over cooked and seasoned with Cattleman’s BBQ sauce. I love how they called it their special PiriPiri sauce. Please. They can keep that. Thanks but no thank you. The«seasoned rice» was plain yellow rice that lacked luster. My brother’s fish was tilapia sauteed in scorched butter possibly margarine. It had to be something with a high burn content and the shrimp skewers were some cheap shrimp that had the absolute life cooked out of them. Even the French fries were cooked limp, unseasoned, and misshapened. Furthermore I’ve never gone to a restaurant and you get one piece of fish? Who does that? This experience left be dazed and confused. If you are reading the other reviews and you decide to go, just remember if you’re over the age of thirty, you’ve eaten really good food, you know how to use seasoning, and you have a big appetite; you may be disappointed.

Not impressed with this place. Food is expensive and merely average. Not a big fan of the ambiance, nor the energy in the place. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place, but I do know it has its share of fans. I can’t see it, but I’m glad some people like it.

Calamari rings were great. Not overcooked like many places. Thai crabcakes were good as well but, a little too browned.

Really like this place. Cashier was a bit moody, but she also tried to give us a great deal on our meal choices. The piri piri chicken and shrimp tacos were delicious. My daughter especially liked the shrimp. I had the Greek salad with salmon and the fish was cook perfectly. Too much cabbage on the salad for me, but it was yummy nonetheless.

I had the Piri Piri Half chicken today. Very good! I loved the crispy skin and even the breast stayed very moist. The meal was filling at a great price. The place was very clean and the staff was very professional and nice. Those who are afraid of spicy, beware of the extra hot and choose mild sauce. Those that embrace the heat will really enjoy going for the gusto!

Came in for late lunch. Ordered 3 tacos and zucchini. I had one shrimp and two chicken tacos. I’m glad I just got one shrimp taco! The shrimp was tiny salad shrimp. I was disappointed that it was not jumbo grilled shrimp. The sauce is delicious. They filled the taco with slaw mostly and a few pieces of shrimp/chicken. It is a little over priced for what you get. Not sure if I will come back.

Always great food. Love the BBQ half chicken. There’s nothing bad to be had here. My favorite thing? The veggies. Grilled asparagus, grilled sliced sweet potato, grilled zucchini, etc. I am a regular here. One tip: if you have a one hour lunch and far to travel, it’s gonna be tight… not always the fastest service, but totally worth the wait.(Once they ran out of mushroom for my burger-manager went to Albertsons and bought more, apologized for my wait and comped me).

Shrimp tacos are tasty. The rice is good. Everything is fresh. Just seems to take a long time to get your food.

Flavorless food. Fish was dry. Not impressed. The sauces are good, though, and the only thing I liked about this place. The service was also not great — two out of three employees we interacted with had no clue what was going on.

Thoroughly enjoyed my Salmon with cucumber dill sauce, rice and amazing sweet potato fries! I’ll definitely be returning for dinner often. Upon leaving, I spotted a lady with half of a baked chicken and the aroma was extremely pleasing! That will be my order!!!

I HATE cold food. I detest it. I LOATHE it. My husband thinks it’s NBD– just stick it in the microwave. No. Gross. I don’t pay for food to cook it at home(see my review for Lemongrass in Bossier) and dry it out in a microwave. So when I order takeout from somewhere, I expect it to be hot. I don’t expect to see ¾ of our dinner sitting on the counter for five minutes. And I don’t expect to see the last meal sitting on the counter for another four while the girl helps two more customers. NO! This angers me more than finding a hair in my food would. DONOTDOTHIS! Perhaps I have an anger problem. Whatever. They charged us $.25 a meal for take-out. That’s fine– next time we will go somewhere else. People do take-out because they want to eat at home. Honestly you’re already beating the odds of us coming in at this point. You should be pleased I didn’t decide to have last night’s leftovers. The soda machine didn’t have enough syrup. My Coke was off. I dumped it and tried another. Same deal. Do restaurants set the ratios themselves? Because every now and then I encounter this problem. The lids do not fit well on the cups. While waiting for our food I thought I’d try the sauces for next time(I ordered the PiriBBQ). I put a dab of the lemon pepper sauce on a condiment lid. GAG! It tastes exactly like the Lawry’s Lemon Herb marinade I used 17 years ago when I didn’t know how to cook. I tried the medium sauce. Are you kidding me? It tastes just as bad. What have I got myself into? The boneless chicken has a horrible consistency. Kind of like the chicken you get in a TV dinner. It was tough yet felt raw at the same time(wasn’t raw). The PiriBBQ IS spicy, regardless of what they tell you. The zucchini was bitter and needed salt. The only thing good with my tiny portion of food was the rice. But the tiny scoop? Please. The fish tacos — WHO puts fish tacos in FLOUR tortillas??? Ugh!!! Grilled sweet potatoes had good flavor, but don’t expect a whole potato worth. Three measley slices. The sweet potato fries were the only thing in this meal I couldn’t find something to complain about. For $ 44, no way. Actually, even for $ 10. This was horrible.

First time here, came for lunch. Got the Mahi-Mahi plate with rice and cucumber dill sauce. Rice had good flavor, fish seasoned well(slightly dry) but not too bad. Also shared the medium piri-piri chicken appetizer with coworker. Sauce was interesting, but overall cooked well and tasty. One note, I fully thought this was a sit down restaurant, waitress etc. It’s more so a bit more upscale Captain D’s, you wait in line and place order and it’s brought out to you etc. Overall, tasty lunch, fairly priced and will probably return next time in mood for fish.

Definitely a favorite of mine! I love eating at Boneheads because I don’t feel gross at the end of the meal. The food is fresh and clean. There always seems to be a problem of keeping the drink machine stocked with beverages and/ice, but that would be my only complaint… and I won’t even call it a true complaint because the staff behind the counter is always accommodating and will fill our drinks behind the counter if need be. The menu is just great. There are so many options. I try not to order the same thing every time, but my goodness the food is delicious, so I do often repeat the same meals over and over. Love this place. And I recommend the grilled sweet potatoes for one of your sides!

Today was our first, but not our last. Jim had the mahi mahi and I had the ahi tuna. We started with the Boneheads Shrimp. Jim’s entrée was very tough, but the management stepped up to the plate and had another out as a replacement. The asparagus and sweet potato fries were awesome. The ticket with two soft drinks was $ 41. Pricey for our tastes, but excellent food and service. Worth the price.

I wanted to wait until I had come here a couple of times to write my review, but unfortunately I have only been once. But it was awesome. It would be 5 stars, but I can’t speak to their consistency. I ordered the grilled mahi mahi and it was delish. Perfectly spiced and not too spicy. I paired it with some grilled asparagus which was the right amount of crunchy and salty, but I really wanted the zucchini! Luckily the man taking our order at the counter warned me that the boneheads spice might be a little intense for me… I think he knew I wasn’t a native Louisianan… Overall, this is such a needed addition to the restaurant scene. It is healthy, quick, and reasonably priced for the quality of the ingredients. I am a HUGE fan. Did I mention they have one of those intense soda machines where you can get add flavors to pretty much anything? HELLOOCHERRYMOUNTAINDEW.

Super-excited about this Atlanta, Georgia-based franchise landing here and opening its’ doors earlier this week in the old Pano’s Diner location on Youree Drive. They literally took the barest bones(sorry) of the old Pano’s, the slimmest of skeletal remains(yup) of the old framework of the former legendary restaurant, and built up this new healthy restaurant devoted to grilled fish and vegetables. And you gotta love the name! A restaurant named after my own heart, I mean, head! I am looking very much forward to devouring their grilled asparagus, Greek salad, traditional fish and chips, Piri Piri shrimp, among many other menu items! Boneheads is a very much welcome addition to this areas culinary options! Especially, for those looking for something a little bit healthier! And like some archaeologist, I think you’ll «dig» it… Get it? Bone… heads? Dig… Buaaah!!!
