I was hesitant to try eating vietnamese food out in Shreveport, but based on the reviews I have it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the b5 bun bo hue. It was delicious, the service was good. Would definitely come back.

Great service and advice on best picks from the menu. Our waiter was very attentive and not annoying. The spring rolls and phò were both very good. Unfortunately, I’m spoiled and have eaten better Vietnamese food abroad and in Austin, TX, but I am thrilled to find this is Shreveport, where its sorely lacking in selection and quality. We will definitely be back and try some other dishes. Also didn’t give the 5th star because the seating and overall climate wasn’t nearly as good as the food.

My wife and I came in from Dallas to visit the folks during Thanksgiving. Seeing as how my mom has never had Vietnamese, we thought it’d be nice to introduce her to something new. There isn’t a lot for phở in Shreveport/Bossier but based on other Unilocal reviews, this was our best option. We stood at the front a bit unsure if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Eventually, a guy came out and told us we could sit wherever we wanted. The tables feel small. When they brought our food, we had to rearrange everything just to be able to get our food on the table. I wound up putting stuff on another table just to get more room. The whole place felt cramped. It definitely needs to be reorganized to open the restaurant a bit. The egg rolls were good, but the serving was just that; no lettuce, carrots or any garnish of any kind. I may be a bit spoiled, but in Dallas, we usually get all of these. The phở was very mediocre and they seemed to skimp on the meat. We had to point out how little meat we got and they brought more. The flavor was just ok. Not anything to write home about, but not the worst I’ve had in Shreveport. I guess if you’re in the area and you get a bad craving, it’ll do, but it certainly wouldn’t be my first choice. Just bummed that this was my mom’s first experience with phở.

This place has the BEST spring rolls. The phở broth is super flavorful. Had the pad Thai the last time I went and I was a little disappointed. The pad Thai was kinda flat. It was lacking the sweet, sour, and spicy aspect. The service was very fast.

Let me start by saying the food is excellent. The portions are generous and comes out very quickly and steaming hot. I see lots of people order the bubble tea but I’m just not fond of the tapioca boogers in it. The service is… well…not bad, but lackluster. I wasn’t treated poorly, but they definitely rely more heavily on the food than the service to keep people coming back. The waiters and waitresses sit around on their phones waiting on someone to need something. I guess they don’t have a break room. There were plenty of tables that could have been getting cleaned. Some of the sauces never leave the table and accumulate dust, grime, and greasy fingerprints. Plus each sauce bin has a community spoon. If you are germaphobic or OCD, beware. I will reiterate that the food is awesome.

I’ve been here for take out multiple times. This is my first time eating in. They never let me down. I always get the P1 and it’s delicious. The staff is accommodating with me being an extremely picky eater I ask for half the amount of noodles and EXTRA bean sprouts and they never mess it up. I tried the shrimp spring rolls they were delicious as well. Seriously this place is amazing. My boyfriend who grew up on true Asian food(he’s Korean and his half sister and brother are Laos) even agreed it’s good. The bubble teas are addicting as well. Definitely come here for some great Phở and other goodies.

I have eaten here several times and have always been very pleased. The fried egg rolls are out of this world, a must try item! I’ve also had the P1 and the beef fried rice, and both are phenomenal. I’ve tried the coconut, taro, and honeydew bubble teas, and they are all delicious. The service is always good and you never have to wait long for your food. Phở Lamour is in my top five of favorite restaurants for sure!

I had a rough day of business travel today but this place made up for it in so many ways. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely awesome. My waiter, Jeremy, had plenty of suggestions and every one of them made my dinner better! I had the steak phở and the shrimp spring rolls with a coconut bubble tea. WHEREHASBUBBLETEABEENMYWHOLELIFE?! Extra waters and sprouts and basil and jalapeños and advice on the hottest sauces around… I barely had to finish the requests before they were all there. Great small-business atmosphere, clean and cute. Prices were great and portions were way more than enough. I’ll definitely stop back on my next trip to town. Highly recommended!

Great service. Good food. Fair prices. I love Vietnamese food and I’m so happy this place is just minutes from home. We spent $ 30 for two meals, Boba, & soy milk. I had the P7 phở and loved it! :) We’ll be coming back.

My wife and I go here A LOT! I wanna say this place gets a little better each time. I tend to get the same thing, B10 Vermicelli with Grilled pork and an cut up fried egg roll. It’s super yummy, especially after an hour at the gym. The B1 is equally satisfying. My wife got the Pad Thai last time and it tasted delicious, really good pad thai. This place has a few hiccups, I’ve been brought the wrong order a couple times, if you get something with crab, it’s going to be fake crab. Nevertheless the staff is friendly, and fun. It’s awesome to go in here and here some 80’s dark wave, like New Order, the Cure, and Human League while sipping on bubble tea waiting for your food. Don’t expect them to hang the moon at Phở L’amour, but the food is decent to delicious, the atmosphere is pretty good, the service is friendly, and the price is right.

Good stuff. Starting to become my go-to lunch spot, helps its close to my office. Service my not be the fastest, but it’s genuine politeness and wait staff give honest suggestions and opinions. Food however is served very quickly. I usually go for the B9, Vermicelli Bun w/pork and shrimp. $ 8.95, fills me up, night and light and fresh, no 2pm food comas. Just a great little place, well deserving of it’s high praise.

I have never walked out of a restaurant before, and it absolutely pains me that I walked out of this establishment last night. After hearing nothing but glowing reviews from friends and family, my boyfriend and I decided to try Phở L’amour, since our other go-to’s are closed on Mondays. While our waitress was sweet, we were very disappointed in the quality of service; we were ignored for a while before anyone came over to our table to bring menus and take our drink orders, and never came by to check on us and ask us for refills or even say what was taking our food so long. I know that the length of food prep is a kitchen responsibility and not the server’s, but still… we sat waiting for 30 – 45 minutes waiting on our phở. All the time we were waiting, we saw the three other servers buzzing around taking care of their tables while ours was nowhere in sight. We never got a refill until a friend of mine(who is a server there, but not ours), came and asked us and refilled our drinks. When our phở finally came, we were severely disappointed. We know how phở is made, and have had it at different establishments in town and in other places across the country. Even the worst phở is still pretty edible. I wish I could say the same for this time. The noodles were hardly cooked, rubbery and slimy, and the round eye and brisket cuts were all fat. I had meatballs in mine, and I’m not sure if they were even meat. My boyfriend found chunks of raw meat on his vegetable plate. After we found that, not even after having a few bites of our meal, we got up, went to the front and paid our tab, which we really shouldn’t have…$ 30 down the drain. My friend asked us how it was, I quietly said that it wasn’t very good at all, and that we needed to go anyway, to try save face for both me and her. The only good thing about our experience was the pork and shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce, that we got at the suggestion of our server. I think we went on an off night when the head chef and owners weren’t there(they are friends of my mother’s of many, many years), but after our experience last night, my chance of going back is very slim.

Very delish !! It was very busy when we got there. Parking lot was full so we had to park at CVS. The food was great I had the B5 even though it said it was spicy it was not to me. Also ordered the Phở w beef and the French bread w pork. Thai teas all around! Can’t say anything bad would def come back if were in town. They also grown their own fresh vegetables, which is great! I didn’t take pictures of the food but I did of the garden!

We never made it to the old Phở Kim, but this place has apparently been under new ownership since March 2014 and it’s freshly decorated, sunny, and comfortable. The booth seat we had was noticeably firm, being new, and refreshing given that most booths we have ever sat in have been slumpy and well worn. We tried their P3 phở with round steak and beef tendon($ 8.95) and their C1 grilled pork with rice($ 7.95). The pork dish was ok, but I would say the phở turned out to be on pricey side for the limited meat content. OK place overall though. The new owners are spending some money on the place and they have a brand new concrete parking lot for you after you come off of old and bumpy Kings Highway.

Since the grand opening, I have visited three more times. Thankfully, all visits since that first day of operation have been pleasing.(The first day was an unmitigated zoo, and took too long.) This place is an obvious(and justifiable) local favorite. The food here is fresh and tasty. While I’ve had better in my lifetime, those experiences happened over 1,600 miles away. I’m happy to have Phở L’amour serving the SBC community. They’re doing a good job of advancing the culinary palate of this town, in a very approachable manner. P.L’Am earns a hearty and welcome thumbs-up from me.
