Great atmosphere to study, read or catch up with friends. The house turned coffee bar is very cozy. Drink menu has tons of options — I got an iced Americano which was nice and strong. I also got a lavender macaron which was ok, not particularly memorable. It is on the pricy side, those two items cost me $ 7.50.

Local coffee shop! The coffee is above average and the spot is super cool. I definitely recommend for studying or just hanging out for a bit. I do wish they had an outside location for smokers and one for non-smokers, however, or maybe they could just get rid of smoking altogether…

Awesome little place, great environment, good coffee! Very peaceful, great for with it study, even larger groups. Especially loved the private back living room type area and the backyard outdoor seating with canopy lights strung about… :-)

My go-to study spot. Great atmosphere, delicious food & coffee. Brought my parents here from PR and we all loved how they put salsa music in the background while we were chatting away. Very welcoming :)

I stopped in to this local shop while touring through Louisiana last May, and picked up a t-shirt because it is a very cool place, nice outside seating in a courtyard, great food that pairs well with some great coffee(roasty, earthy, herbal, some citrus notes). When I got home I noticed that the tshirt was different, that it didn’t have the name of the town(Shreveport) as the exemplar did when I purchased the shirt. I sent it back with a sad face and received not one, but three shirts with different designs. This is what I call great customer service! Love this place, and you will too. Great location and good people with excellent product. I will be back, and thank you Rhino for making the world a little bit better.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Best coffee shop in Shreveport hands-down. Try the Jalapeño Cheddar biscuit with egg or their homemade granola bars. Great atmosphere

Rhino is the best place in town to go grab a cup of coffee on a nice day. You shouldn’t miss their lox and bagel for breakfast or their great sandwiches for lunch. Excited for them to open downtown.

Had the chance to visit this local coffee house during my recent visit In Shreveport. It’s great to know something like this exists here but I can’t say I’m impressed much by the food or coffee. I do enjoy the ambience and how you can leisurely hang here. Lots of college kids seem to be doing their homework here with their fancy mac laptops n plugged in headphones working away. I had their popular breakfast burrito and it’s mediocre at best. The eggs are not your normal scrambled egg but rather cubed up quiche or something to have this weird cube/custard egg inside. Nothing memorable and strange. The drink is nothing spectacular but not bad. I do like a local joint and not a chain. And how it’s just around the corner from the beautiful RW Norton gallery. But what they’re serving don’t deserve 5 stars for me.

Atmosphere is pretty good. Coffee is terrible. TERRIBLE. Most of the employees are smug little $*%holes. I expect better from someone with a degree in coffee-ology. I’m talking about the owner. He studied that stuff in coffee-town out there in the Pacific Northwest. Dude, taste your coffee: it’s sour and gross. ANDSTOPUSINGCRUSHEDICE! It melts instantly. Doesn’t matter. The coffee isn’t even potable. Just because your parents gave you a coffee shop that’s drawing in enough idiots who love the taste of poison, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t aspire to be better. You would never be able to replicate this somewhere that isn’t already starving for some kind of culture. I expect more. Oh, and your macaroons taste like freon. Rhinos are cool, though.

If you are passing through Shreveport, just come here. Grab a latte and a light breakfast and sit in the relaxing garden.

I never would have guessed there would be a coffee shop of this caliber in Shreveport, Louisiana! Boy was I ever mistaken! Rhino Coffee has easily become one of my favorite spots in Shreveport. I love the comfortable atmosphere with ample room to study throughout the rooms in this converted house. The coffee is delicious and it’s kept me coming back each time I’ve visited Shreveport. Check this place out!

On our continuous hunt across the country for the best and most unique cafes, we checked out the Rhino on a tip from my nephew. Really comfortable establishment that seems to be a house converted into a wifi equipped sprawling, leather-clad living room. Helpful and friendly staff, espresso drinks were excellent, and seating was very comfortable, Tried the quiche and it was very fresh and tasty. Cons: could use some additional outlets for folks to recharge their various technologies while they enjoy their favorite espresso or coffee drink. On the day we were there, the wifi was down so no internet and no music in the background.

Great space, small parking lot, homemade pastries… so what makes it a 2?(I hesitate to post bc I do not generally find places I think are 2s) 1. coffee was sub par– and expensive to be sub par.(pastries were reasonable priced for what they are… got choc chip banana muffin and pecan pie for a friend– looked good) 2. this is the big one… see all of the reviews where people say«This is a great place to hang out! I could stay here all day!» They do. and it is irritating. So sitting is not an option. This is an adorable shop– I liked that it was not as commercial as the starbucks across the street– but jesus kids– get a job and stop spending your parents money on «writing a novel» at a coffee shop. bottom line– 2 stars sums it up– meh.

Everything here was great. The atmosphere was very unique, clean, and quiet. The coffee was delicious and reasonably priced. Rhino Coffee was an excellent stop for coffee with incredibly friendly staff and great coffee. Worth a visit!

Best coffee shop in the Shreveport area! The breakfast burrito was VERY filling and the fruit cup is overloaded with super fresh berries and apple chunks. The old house offers a great atmosphere and the patio is charming, as well. They seem like a boutique coffee shop but don’t offer pour overs… barista said the owner stopped ordering the filters for whatever brewer they were using. We thought that was weird. But so glad they offer almond milk for lattes. The coffee was just okay, but better than Starbucks any day! This shop has a LOT of potential… it would be nice to see them bring someone in to really step up their coffee program.

I’m not a big coffee person but I’m always looking for a nice, peaceful, relaxed place with places to plug in and work. This place has it all, tables and seats everywhere, plenty of plugs for your electronics, wifi, and food to hold you over the long hours of work/study. If you don’t need the plugs, there are two patios for soaking in the sun and hanging out with friends/family. The food and coffee are really good for a café. They have a full kitchen in the back and a good menu for when you’re tummy gets rumbley. The only coffee I enjoy are mochas and this one’s really chocolately. Maybe a little too much(just a tiny bit). It’s definitely my second fav mocha next to Phil’z in SF. Rhino also occasionally offers live music, art shows, and they even have a room in the back for more private affairs if you want to hold a little meeting. So if you’re not here working this is a great place to hangout and the locals know it. My only real gripe are the hours. Shreveport in general closes all of it’s doors at 6pm during the week while Rhino remains open until 9pm most nights. Problem is, I’m a night owl and means I only have a very short amount of time after work to hangout here. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s going to change since most of the city and it’s people are in bed or in bars at 9pm. Coming from big cities, I’m accustomed to working until midnight but Rhino will have to do. It’s the best place to plug in and work and I’ll be a regular here as long as I’m in town.

Now this is a coffee house. Literally. Rhino’s offers comfortable seating(tables, couches, reading chairs) whether you’re sitting down for a conversation, reading a book, or studying for an exam. There’s a front porch when the weather is nice and an entire garden in the back. Coffee’s good and I’m sure that the food is on par to match. But all I really want to saw is how«at home» I felt just lounging around. Oh, and there are plenty of sockets too. [Original Visit: March 2015]

This is my all-time new favorite coffee shop. And I’ve driven 70 miles just to come here! When technically, I of course, add other things to do and visit while in Shreveport — but the highlight of the trip is always Rhino Coffee. It’s like hipster meets cozy coffee shop. The place has multiple«areas» to sit, with varying degrees of difference per room you select. You can even sit outside, if the weather permits. The parking has never been a problem. My favorites: definitely the staff. They are super courteous and always willing to explain the weird names of the coffees(for instance, how am I supposed to know what is in the«lightning» without asking?) but of course, they always friendly reply. They even once were willing to give away free food and coffee just because their ipad cashier wasn’t working! I love how the place has events posted on the bulletin board, for us non-locals to get ideas of what to do nearby. And the food is worth every penny. I have really enjoyed the sandwiches and cookies I have tried, and the coffee is always perfect. Definitely recommended. The neighborhood is also pretty cute and nice to drive through if in the area for the first time.
