A nice place to bring the young ‘uns and let them run around and go nuts. The ducks and geese in the near vicinity seem used to it and don’t seem to mind so much. Bring some bread to feed them, as they are ready to pounce(The ducks, not the kids!) The playground itself, is long stretching and there are several different areas and activities from which to choose. The equipment is well-worn but relatively safe(with adequate adult supervision, of course!) The stuff is way better than the rusted, jagged, metal, medieval torture racks that we used to play on back in the 70’s and 80’s. They even have tiny, shredded pieces of car tires sprinkled all around the playgrounds, for added safety, which gives the area a spongy, bouncy feel.(What did we land on/or into as kids when we launched ourselves into the stratosphere from the swing sets… Rocks…Hard dirt… Another dangerous metallic playground monstrosity located close by… My, how times have changed!) This is a beautiful public park free of admission, with some covered areas, good for birthday parties and/or bbq’s. The place abounds with small children and parents and grandparents, especially on Saturday mornings. It’s a nice place to take pictures of your bebes as well.
