I went today with a group of friends. I’ve been several times before and the food, atmosphere, and service have always been great. Today, the food and atmosphere were great but the service was very disappointing. While the server kept our drinks full and got our food out promptly and correctly, she was extremely rude the entire time. She was very harsh and made faces at almost every request we made. One of my friends requested some things be removed from his sandwich when he ordered. You would have thought he asked her to cut off her arm. She took a good five minutes to take just his order because she was making such a big deal about the requests he made. Then, she loudly exclaimed to the kitchen that his order was the weirdest she’d ever heard! The whole restaurant could hear her. She needs a serious attitude adjustment. I love yeero yeero’s food but next time I’ll just get it to go so I don’t have to deal with her.

Hmmm… where to begin. I would say that the food and(surprisingly amazing) ambiance were wasted on the poor service. By poor service I mean poor ability, demeanor, appearance, and professionalism. It saddens me because this restaurant has so much potential. Our server was dressed inappropriately, had the big screen television tuned to one of those day time courtroom dramas, shared her ideas about racism with us, and was upset because we came in 40 minutes before the dining room closed for lunch. I wanted to order pasta, but the server told me that it takes a while. I told her it wasn’t an issue for me, and she told me, «Well, we close at 3:00.» So, I opted to find something else on the menu. I asked a few questions, but she wasn’t helpful in any way, including rolling her eyes and slamming the menus into the place holder by the kitchen. Yikes! I was watching to make sure she didn’t spit in our food! As a former server(10 years) I could believe her behavior was genuine. She only lightened up after we got our food and she sat down. That’s when she began to spew all sorts of racists opinions about black people and Mexicans. Professionalism isn’t her best suit. The food itself was good. The gyro was tasty, as was the hummus and sauce. The restaurant is beautiful, and it’s like stepping into another world. A very Greek world at that! I’m not sure if I’ll go back. If I do, I may peek inside to see if this particular server is working. If so, I’ll more than likely go to Athena’s. At least I know what I’m getting there – great food and at least moderately good service.

The food I tried was good, although not incredible. I would give it another try just to see more of their menu. So far all I’ve had are their lamb gyros and some pita with hummus. Worth a shot at least – they’ve been open a long time so they must know what they’re doing.

Their gyros are delicious and I usually come here when I’m in town, but this time we took our 4-year-old and found that there was no kid’s menu and the owner was initially reluctant to let us get a half order of something for our son. I will be back, but not when I have my kids with me.

The ordering process in this place is kind of weird with the odd drive through, but the food is TOPNOTCH. Best Greek in the area. No question about it.

The food was outstanding! We went for lunch and the waitress ruined our meal. Cursing, screaming, answering personal calls on her cell phone, screaming at the kitchen staff, unprofessional behavior regarding comments about other staff members not showing up to work. Food was beautiful. Such a shame. The place is small and she was the only one. Waited over 10 min for our check at the end of the meal. My husband pointed out after we left that he noticed she was only wearing one shoe.

This is quite the surprise. I’m a vegetarian and the waitress was quite helpful with the decision making process. I got the falafel gyro with a side of the cucumber sauce with fries on the side. Excellent. I will be back since there were quite a few options for vegetarians. The décor on the outside doesn’t prepare you for the luxurious accommodations on the inside. The owners have made good use of the space.

After an evening at A. C Steere Park we ventured over to this Shreveport gem. I read the reviews and had high hopes for this Greek establishment. I need to manage my expectations better next time. We ordered two traditional gyros and the Greek sampler platter. The meat in all the food was delicious, well seasoned and tender. However everything after that was disappointing and bland. The Greek salad was a house salad with Greek dressing. The spanakopita was dry and crusty. The pastichio reminded me of beefaroni. The moussaka was decent. One of my favorite parts of Greek food is the tzatziki, and this did not deliver. It was short on dill and garlic. Overall this place was bland and I felt the food had been made hours ago and warmed up in the microwave after I ordered it. I will say the other reviews I’ve read have convinced me I may have just hit them on a bad night. I’ll return for a lunch time gyro but I think ordering anything else off the menu here would be a stretch.

The chicken gyro primavera penne is excellent. This is their Tuesday special. And once again I love the floor show the owner puts on when things do not go fast enough for him.

Great little spot in Shreveport for lunch or dinner. Prices are fair for the amount you get. My wife and I usually share a salad or pita sammy and it’s plenty! The French fries dipped in the humus is my favorite! I’ve never used the dining room but the drive through is always fast and friendly.

I’ve only been through the drive thru– however food has always been fast and delicious. Gyros are huge and flavors are great. Would highly recommend giving this place a try!

YEERO-YEERO! OPAOPA! GOODGOOD! I just don’t know what to say. What an experience to eat here. The blue and white exterior overwhelms but does not surprise you. It was decorated in the«Mad Greek» motif of that famous restaurant in Baker, CA or the one on Rainbow Drive in Las Vegas.(See the photos). When you open the door you expect the typical Greece tourist motif with the posters of the town on the cliff overlooking the Aegean. What you get is a parlor; dark and richly decorated as though a Greek version of those old Las Vegas gourmet room restaurants. Over the service window a TV shows an opera from the Megaro Opera House in Athens. I love it! The food… Oh, the food. We had gyros. They were terrific. I’ll tell you something about French fries, though. I have yet to have a gyro that did not come with the best fries I ever tasted. It must be a Franco-Greek thing. Oh, one more thing: Is baklava now listed in the market along with gold? It should be.

By the looks of this place you don’t expect it to look so fancy inside. It’s a bit stuffy and dark and the waitress was a bit strange, very aggressive and snarky, but no complaints about the service. The food was excellent. The hummus is delicious but they don’t give you very much. My husband and I ordered the Ibiza and the Moussaka. The Ibiza was like a panini, flavorful crispy and creamy all at the same time. I would come back just for that. My husbands Moussaka was comfort food at its finest. It was like a Greek Shepherds pie. Go try this place it’s worth a visit.

This place is a strange little gem. It appears that it was once a gas station and it still has many of those elements from the outside, but once you walk inside it looks fancy. A nice chandler, high back chairs, solid furniture. There is a TV playing a documentary on greek history. But that is not the only conundrum you will face. The majority of the time we went the server was what appeared to be a recently released ex convict. Not to say the service was terrible, but the servers gold teeth and dress code never matched the décor. Not a problem, almost adds to the charm, but still worth mentioning. The owner though is a cute little Greek guy that seems to really care about the food. Now for the food. The Gyro’s are great, fresh and seasoned really well. I’ve eaten Greek food all across the county and this place ranks in the top 5 for sure(maybe even top 3?) and easily the best in the area. Really flavorful meat, great Tzatziki sauce. It’s affordable, especially considering the portions. Overall this place is great.

I haven’t had anything bad here. The food is really good. I ordered the Traditional Gyro Pita sandwich today and it’s soooo fresh!

We were stopping in on a trip home. We ate inside. It’s a bit of a weird experience. Open air dining room crammed into a little space. There was a nice waitress that didn’t have the best english. We ordered a pita and hummus plate and there wasn’t enough pita to eat the hummus, so I asked for more pita and got another plate of pita and hummus. The falafel sandwhich was really good. If I had it to do again, I would hit the drive through or just go another five minutes down the road to one of the chain restaurants…

First off we were their ONLY customer that were dining in. We walked in and the only server was on her phone, then handed us our menus, still on the phone. We ordered the beef kebob and the traditional Greek gyro. The beef from the beef kebob was alright, kinda dry but it was still ok. It came with rice and MAN I swear it’s cheap minute rice because it had a weird stank in my mouth. The traditional gyro is actually pretty good but it’s crazy expensive. If you just order it, it’s $ 9.16 and does not come with fries(even tho the bottom of the sandwich section on the menu said it came with fries, but apparently that’s only for the«combo») or else you pay extra for fries. So I’m not too happy about the price. The waitress was pretty rude. I will say I’m satisfied with the traditional gyro and might come once a year for it.

I was excited to try this place as we drove through Shreveport based on the reviews. But I was pretty disappointed. We walk in and it’s clean so good start. But then I sit down in what must be one of the most uncomfortable chairs known to man kind. And wait and wait And wait And wait And wait For the waitress to turn around and acknowledge me. She finally does and we get the dolmades appetizer, the falafel sandwich, and a combo plate. It was not worth the 40 dollars we spent. The falafel was drive the hummus was plain. But the dolmas were good and the sauce was good. I won’t be back next time I drive through

My only explanation for the reviews posted here, is that folks base them on drive through visits and not dining experience. I also assume that this is the only location in town that serves gyros? I am a Chicago guy and getting a good gyros in Chicago is easier than finding a Waffle House in Shreveport. I assume folks can’t compare this place to a how most of these are run across the US. Yes, I have had better from CA to NY. Service: The tiny restaurant was attended to by one lady, whom I assume is the owner? There is no much happening inside and even getting refill requires her to pass the empty glass through the opening to the kitchen. With only one other table occupied, she still managed to spend more time sitting on a stool by the kitchen and not checking on my app or entrée after serving. Managed only one refill as well. Food: I ordered the fried eggplant and the combo gyros entrée. It would have been nice for her to mention that the entrée already comes with a vegetable, you guessed it: fried fucking eggplant! So as a lone diner I shell out $ 9 for eggplant and then get more eggplant. thanks! The food came out about 2 minutes after the app, as gyros are cooked on spit and get plated in minutes, Again, if you run the restaurant, you can time the delivery, I am not in the drive through. Plate comes out with gyros piled on top on salad. Is that the right way to serve hot/warm meat to put it on top of cool lettuce? Amateur hour here. The final straw was charging ~$ 15 for a plate that had several slivers of gyros meat. In Chicago I would pay ½ to get 3x as much. Apples and oranges, but still an issue. Sorry. hope to not offend the locals, but for me this is a one time visit. I wish you guys had more options.

Four stars for this unique Greek restaurant located on a tiny corner of a busy four-lane highway. Parking is limited and you can drive through if you like. The interior is amazing and wonderful. You have entered an elegant restaurant, high ceiling and ornately decorated. Menu is great with all the Greek typicos and the waitress was a hoot. she is listed on the receipt as server 2. They have specials each day. I had stuffed g rape leaves which had meat and rice inside and were covered with thick lemon sauce. Yum. That came with salad or soup, but I wanted both so ordered a Greek salad as an additional side. Great salad and the soup was terrific. Lots of lemon in chicken soup with veggies. I could have eaten a serving bowl of the soup and suffer no embarrassment. It is that good. Wife had the traditional Gyro and that was HUGE. Their blend of meats for the revolving thing in the braizer was mild and tasty. I just could not get over the size of the pita bread for the gyro. That was from yum yum city also. Did not fully agree with server 2 that the fries were to die for, but they were cooked nicely and had a unique salty/sage and some other touch of flavor. This was a nice treat. Give it a try.
