The positives: The staff are very friendly, it’s a nice atmosphere, the restaurant is clean and pleasant to eat in, and it’s located right off the river. BUT. Sorry, it’s just not real Thai food. It’s fake. The first time I went, I ordered a tom yum soup(avoid) and a green curry dish; the second time, I ordered Pad Thai(which I don’t recommend at all). I’ve spent time in Thailand, I’ve eaten at some excellent Thai restaurants in the US, I *love* Thai cuisine; but this place doesn’t do real Thai food. It’s expensive and inauthentic. Thai food is rich and so delicious, but food here is rather bland. If you do go, then bring your own green beans, kaffir lime leaves, basil, mint leaves and bamboo shoots for the curry; if you’re going to order Pad Thai, then bring your own chopped peanuts, spring onions, bean sprouts, chives, etc. — because their versions leave out most of the essential ingredients. I can see that if someone has never really had authentic Thai food, they might like this place; but for those who’ve had the real thing, it just doesn’t compare. I’m new to the area and will continue to look for authentic restaurants.

One year ago I would have given it a strong 5. Last time all of our food was really off as it tasted like frozen food warmed up. I am going to take a break from it for awhile but will go back. Definitely worth the shot if Thai is your thing, hopefully my last experience was a one time thing.

I am a frequent customer to this place and food is really good. I get the food quicker all the time when I do pick ups. I am not a fan of big chunk of broccoli in my chicken or shrimp plates but other than that everything is good. My favorite is their 5 spice level shrimp tom yum soup along with another 5 spice level chicken fried rice. Try it and let me know!

Can’t understand why this place doesn’t get more rave reviews… the dining room is nice enough, the servers are attentive and friendly and the food is at least four-star Unilocal quality. Curry dishes are very good, as are the old standby dishes such as Pad Thai, Crazy Noodles, Lemongrass and Prik Pao. The portions are generous and everything is priced reasonably. Draft beer would be a winner, as would a few better wine choices. But all in all, at least four stars. Four and a half is more like it.

This is a great spot for lunch. Very casual and inexpensive. Staff is very friendly and the food is good. Love a few of the dishes here. paradise beef and chicken fingers are good appetizers. the house salad comes with a delicious peanut sauce and chunks of pineapple. The lemongrass chicken has a sweet and salty flavor that is hard to replicate. The Bangkok beef comes with several thin cuts of steak. It isn’t exactly steakhouse grade meat, but it is much better than many other Thai restaurants that I’ve been to. it comes served on a plate of fresh vegetables in a house sauce. I recommend adding some heat to it. Like many Thai restaurants you can have them make it as spicy as you want, on a scale of 1 to 5 stars(you can actually order well beyond 5 stars, I seen someone do 20, but I don’t recommend it) The fried ice cream was previously one of my favorite menu items. It’s actually battered and fried, not like some other places that just throw some corn flakes on there and call it a day. However, they seem to have changed the batter and just isn’t the same. If you’re reading this Thai Place owners CHANGEITBACK! Overall, very happy with my experiences here. Will definitely be bac.

We have been to Thai place several times, and we love the food there. This time there was amazing food as always. Thai rolls, Massaman curry, spicy fried rice. A plus was our server Kathy who gave us excellent service, made sure we got everything in time and that everything was okay. Definitely looking forward to visiting this place again!

They might overcharge you for things you didn’t even order… Food isn’t very great either. I went with my friend for dinner. The waiter brought us something we didn’t order and we let him take it back. However, I later found out that I was charged $ 24 even though what I ordered was below $ 15.

Ordered take out from here. We got the chicken of Thai, butterfly shrimp and chicken fried rice. They give very generous portions but Every thing was very bland. Especially the pad Thai. It had no color and was not good at all. I took two bites and threw the rest out. I will not be ordering from here again.

Stopped in for lunch. I already knew what I wanted before I even stopped there. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai heat level 4 and an unsweetened ice tea. The food came out super fast and great service at first. After I got the plate I noticed that the dish was lacking color as the usual pad Thai’s I’ve had. The spice level was also lacking. The other thing was the service went down hill after I got my meal and had an empty drink in front of me throughout my meal.

So today I went to this restaurant with my friend and let me just say the food quality has not changed but the customer service was SO bad that it was just not even worth going. The waitressing staff was soooooo rude, condescending and just plain bitchy. I will not come back and I really really hope they improve because with the customer service they are providing I don’t think a lot of people will continue to come here.

Hands down, this place has the best Pad Thai. Noodles are cooked to perfection, fresh use of ingredients, good sized portion, and the flavors are through the roof!

You call this a Crab Rangoon? I call it 1 centimeter of crab-less cream cheese disappointment wrapped up in a thin, cheap-tasting shell. What are you smoking?

Great food. Has all the traditional Thai foods. Very well prepared and friendly service. It also is very clean and it’s pleasure to eat in the dining area. I think it’s the best in Worcester area and I’ve tried the other ones in Millbury Holden and Worcester.

Thai Place doesn’t disappoint! I order pick up from here a lot, and the food is always ready and hot. The portions are very large, and the food is always flavorful. The summer rolls are always fresh and well made. The sauce is amazing. I’d recommend the Imperial Lamb, Drunken Noodles, or the House Special Curry. Great service and overall great place.

I love Thai food but was disappointed with Thai Place. Panang curry had hardly any curry and wasn’t delicious either. Average ambience and average service. Unless I have no other option for Thai food, I may not return to this one.

We liked this place! My boyfriend took me here one night after classes. He’d been mulitple times and has enjoyed the yellow curry chicken. We got the squash curry with beef which was exceptionally good! The sauce is just awesome! We also got chicken spicy noodles which was really tasty. The food is not expensive and the portions are a good size. I’m sure we’ll return.

I was here for the first time. New to the area the food was great. Parking no problem. Order appetizers got those quickly. So we put in our main entrees . After that things went down hill as far services. Owner came to cash us out without knowing we had received our entrees. 45 minutes later entrees came out. Wrong entrees completely at this only about 4 table sitted out of the twenty or so tables. I could see if it was busy. Not even close to being busy. After the wait place was crowded. Dinner here 2 hours and 15 minutes. I think I will be ordering to go only. Plus food and spices are wonderful. Good luck dining in. Frank.

Ate there cautiously with my Asian friend. The soup reminded him of Cambodian style. My beef and mixed veg plate had like a half pound of beef on top of it in slab form. I felt like Fred Flintstone eating so much beef in one sitting. It was well cooked, our server came by twice to check on us. When you can say exceeded expectations to the server, that’s high praise. I say cautiously due to the retail plaza location and its hard to see spot in said plaza. The layout of the place in a new boxy retail store front is just ok. I’d suggest more practical floor plan. From the outside its very hard to see the inside. I like to see people in new places I’m planning to eat. The food that went by looked great, looking forward to more meals there.
