Bob Evans

I have been disappointed by this place time and time again. I am to the point now where I will not go back. Perkins and Frische’s Big Boy are much better options. Years ago BobEvans was a gem. However, these days you can tell they treat their employees poorly. You can also tell the food is no longer «home made» and is all too much made in a factory in huge batches and reheated when ordered. You can’t even pretend it is homemade. Unfortunately, Bob Evans grew too big too fast, or outgrew its ability to keep offering great food as it once did. I will not go into specifics about my experiences with this place because I have developed my opinion over many visits over a few years now. I once enjoyed this place. Now I think it is horrible. There are much better options close by.

I’ve been to this location on a few occasions to keep trying to get a better food experience. Each time I left more disappointed than the next. This last time will be my last time at this location. I ordered French Toast with bacon and home fries. The bacon was good but can you really ruin bacon? The French toast came out and on my first bite it was soggy which was due to it being way undercooked. I had to send it back and told the server to bring me hot cakes instead. They came but they too were undercooked but not nearly as bad as the French toast. I had my wife try it and she agreed. The service has never been good for us at this location but I understand as virtually every time I have visited there are more kids serving than adults. Kids don’t know what good service really is. Why this location continues to make that decision is unknown by me. The only reason I gave it two stars is that they are consistent. I won’t be back but I’m sure the management is to blame, not the workers.

Have to click any stars to be able to review, so there’s the one. Absolutely infuriating place to patronize. And I wouldn’t if he didn’t want some salad he likes here. Service always s*cks. Always. But, I guess that’s what you get when staff is predominantly of high school age. Tremendous focus on socializing with coworkers, and cell phone use; guess serving guests not as big of a priority.
More dirty tables when we arrived nearing 7 p.m. than were filled with guests. Not shocking — nor was the lack of servers or managers tending to them — just aggravating. In fairness, that closing side work (tearing down ice tea urns, «marrying» foods) isn’t going to do itself. If we have the audacity to come in 2 hours prior to closing, then we should have the patience for staff to get to us when they get to us.
If you’re expecting attentiveness, refills, a smile and ‘how are you’, timeliness, sincerity — regard as a customer by host, server, manager or cashier — lower your expectations. If you’re seeking refuge from the elements, ‘what can I get you’ (because basically you’re interrupting my side work and social life), and food that you may or may not have ordered, you’re in.

Super slow services and sticky bathroom floors. The only thing positive about this place is that you don’t have to go in.
When we arrived there were 2 people waiting to pick up food, a line waiting to pay & about 3 parties waiting to be seated. Finally a manager came up & quietly bitched at the wait staff to get their act together and get people seated! She had just finished getting the cashiers to turn their brains on. After we were seated, we were tended to rather quickly; drink orders & food orders taken. Two coffee ladies keeping our mugs full which was nice, but I think that maybe they could have been better placed in an area where they would be more useful. The restaurant was not full & definitely not empty. After we placed our order the waiting game began. Probably a good 20 mins later our waitress popped over to inform our 10 year old that they were out of Pot Pies. Thirty minutes later, our food finally arrived. Our food tasted good, but waiting almost an hour was a little too excessive. The coffee ladies were nice & extremely accommodating, which led me to the restrooms. Not sure how I got out of there, sticky floors! That is all that I will say. Will I return? Nope. However, I will still return to a Bob Evans, just not this one.

Took töö long to get seated, waited a long time for food tho not busy then waitress cracks a joke about eating with our straws as I’m dealing with a hungry, cranky 3 year old. Not coming back.
