In 2012 my girlfriend and I were heading back home after hiking and camping in the Adirondacks. Having spent the night in Cooperstown we hit the road in search of breakfast and literally stumbled upon Suzi’s Café. As I entered I spied blueberry pancakes being prepared. The first thing I noticed about them was how they were larger than my face so right away the challenge was on! Under my fork the crispy exterior gave way to pleasantly soft yet chewy interior. Not only was it served with real maple syrup but also contained hand picked blueberries*, both locally produced. Everything about these scream homemade goodness. Also, and I’m not going to be specific, but considering the quality and quantity the price was phenomenally low. If I lived nearby this place I would be eating these things like a bear getting ready to go into hibernation. *This picture was taken in early September which is right in the middle of blueberry season.

This is a find. Just amazing desserts. But it’s not just desserts, the lunch and breakfast is just wonderful. The hot open face pork sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. The roast pork was perfect. The potatos and gravy was fabulous as well. If you are in the area, this is a must see for breakfast, lunch or stop by to pick up a dessert for later.

LOVE Suzi’s! Food is good, bakery is fantastic but nothing beats Laynee the waitress. She makes the visit extra special!

We stopped here for a quick breakfast on a Saturday morning. Well, we got the breakfast, which was very good… but not the quick part. It took about 25 minutes to get the food to our table, but I’m not going to fault the place much. There was a table of 8 there before us, and I think it backed up the kitchen a bit. Still, the food was good… cooked by the owner who was able to hold her own on the griddle but still chat away on a cell phone at the same time. That’s some skill there! Go for a good breakfast, but not if you’re running late!

Had a breakfast platter. Food was ok, nothing special, but good amount for the price. Service was slow but friendly. Pastries are pretty decent.

Very clean, local atmosphere. I had a good salad,(the Suzies salad), mandarin oranges, walnuts, feta cheese, and home made dressing. Suzi and her wait staff will more then likely come out and talk with you. They also have variety of baked good, but I did not sample.
