I have not had anything cleaned here, but I did have three items fixed/altered. The first was a pair of denim shorts that needed a new button because I was not sure the metal button could be reaffixed. I was not charged for this, and I waited while it was repaired. The lady said to just tip the repair/alterations lady. The second item was my husband’s pharmacy coat. He needed it a little bigger, so they had him buy some fabric and they sewed it in to the underarm areas. The third item was a zipper on a pair of my daughter’s jeans. They put in a new zipper. I did not need to buy one. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have not yet had anything cleaned by them, and they told me on Tuesday I could pick up the jeans on a Thursday, but when I arrived around noon on Thursday, they told me to come back after 4:00pm. I just went back the next day, and it was ready.

Every week for the last couple of years, hubby’s shirts have gone to the cleaners to be laundered and ironed. I also bring his pants in to be drycleaned and some of my clothes too. I was satisfied with the results — i.e., cleaned and pressed clothes — until a few months ago when Martin Cleaners lost one of my husband’s shirts. They did find it again a couple weeks later. They never explained or apologized. They lost another shirt a few weeks after that and never found it. So we were offered $ 25 for the shirt. I thought that was nice. I also hoped they would be more careful with our stuff. Well we recently got back a tie that went in for a simple cleaning. When we got it back, it looked like somebody had vomited on the tie, then ironed on top of that! The people at Martin Cleaners didn’t even bother to tell us that they messed up his tie. It was worse than when we put it in. It was gross. The worst part was, we didn’t discover it until a couple weeks later when my husband wanted to wear the tie. I don’t think we can trust them with our clothes so we’re definitely not going back. I advise anybody using this place to check your clothes before leaving the shop and make sure you’re getting what you paid for.
