Aames Carpet and Floors

I can’t say enough about Aames flooring. After many years dealing with various contractors, I consider this company to be top notch. Their workmanship is perfect. Upon completion of the work, my house was as clean as when they started and they were on time! I would never use anybody else.

Ahmed (the owner) and his complete staff were very respectful and understanding of my possible mold situation. His employee were on time, they told me exactly what their plans were for that day, when they were going to lunch, basically excellent communication for the 4 days they were working on my place. They vacuumed and cleaned up the mess as if it didn’t even happen. I can’t say enough nice things about this company. Highly, highly recommended for any of their work that they do! Great job!

I can’t say enough nice things about working with Aames! He was refereed to us because of his expertise in mold remediation (we bought a very old fixer upper). We were so impressed with his professionalism, communication and competitive pricing we ended up using him for all of our flooring too! He took our stained, 80 yr old hardwood floors and made them gorgeous! Helped us pick the perfect stain to complement our historic home and now there is not a flaw in sight! Also did our carpeting on the second floor and it looks beautiful — very high quality and installed perfectly. We had a very complicated job, as we had to make many improvements in only 4 weeks, and Aames worked with our schedule and was very flexible. Having worked with a lot of contractors that don’t show up on time, shirk responsibility and are a general disappointment, I so appreciate someone as professional AND affordable as Aames. We will absolutely use him again for future flooring jobs!

We had new carpet installed in the living room and hallway and Raul, the installer for Aames did a great job. They were on time and cleaned up after the job was done. I highly recommend them. We needed the carpet installed in a hurry, and Aames came right away to measure and ordered the carpet. Aames is very cutomer driven and will go out of his way to provide his services. I would call them again in the future.

Aames is great at what he does. I have managed an apartment building in downtown Long Beach for many years. And, over the years we have tried many carpet companies and could not settle on one until we found Aames. As far as I am concerned he is the expert in the field.
He did my common area hallway carpeting with no seams! He suggested a «vintage» pattern which suited my 1923 building perfectly.
As for the units, he has a wide range of popular carpeting and vinyl at an affordable price.
I will soon be leaving property management and buying my own home. And without hesitation I will call Aames to install my floor covering!

Aames (Ahmad) Carpet Care took care of all my needs! Ahmad was very responsive and gave me a stellar price to replace all my flooring except the bathroom which I wanted to keep. His workers were on time and very meticulous in performing the installation. They cleaned up after themselves and were cautious not to damage any areas they worked in. The short version: Prices are good. Carpet installation workmanship was questionable at best. Laminate installation was amazing. Professionalism of installation crew was non existent.
The long version: Prices are good, really good. ¼ of what Home Depot quoted for the same job with similar quality materials. The job they did with my laminate was really amazing. They patched old water damage with boards they pulled up from my kitchen, laid new matching boards in the kitchen and made a transition that is almost invisible. Materials and labor were less than materials alone from Home Depot and even from HD Supply.
I also had them carpet my stairs. First, they cut every single piece of carpet too small for my stairs, like they didn’t measure at all. They went to install properly cut pieces, and asked me if I had tape to hold the pieces down while their glue set. During the installation, one of the workers stood on my upholstered dining room chair to reach a higher step. He did this in his work boots, and didn’t bother putting anything down on my chair. I had to tell him to get off my chair and perhaps use a ladder or step stool, that he then asked me to borrow.
After they left, the corners and edges lifted on every single stair and I had to call them to come back the next day. They left cigarette butts and wood scraps and shards as well as carpet remnants in my driveway where they were doing some of their cutting.
Ultimately, I’m really happy with the laminate they put in for me. The carpet is just ok. For the price, it’s hard to beat but the lack of professionalism was really annoying and disappointing.
