If Unilocal let me give negative reviews I would. This is a horrible company. I actually cannot believe Home Depot is contracting them given the other reviews.
TK was contracted through Home Depot. contractor came 1 — 2 hours past their estimated arrival time. Contractor who visited and wouldn’t put booty’s on his shoes. He insisted it was impossible because he had size 15 feet. And he wouldn’t take his shoes off because it hurt his feet. Fine. we moved our carpets so he can walk through the house.
As he was working I began asking him questions about the TK installations and their relationship with home depot and the contract that was signed. As my reading of the contract seemed that TK installations would remove my old blinds and correct the appearance of the walls so it doesn’t look all holed up before installing new blinds. Instead of walking me through the contract he said «I’m a second away from leaving.»
I told him that he was not forced to do the work and I did not mind if he left. So he did. He did not pick up trash, he did not reinstall what he left behind, nor did he give me his name or his companies name. I only got this information once I called Home Depot.
if you are considering this company or Home Depot’s services, remember there many options. Save yourself from a company that cares so little about its customers.

Used TK Installations (through Home Depot) for new roller shades for our office and experienced terrible services. Home Depot was pretty nice to deal with (for the most part) but this third party contractor they use was just horrible.
⁴⁄₆: Placed an order for new roller shades at Home Depot (Alhambra).
⁴⁄₈: TK Installations came and did measurements. Installation person was very nice and told me that he will fax the measurements to Home Depot that day (Friday). To be safe, he recommended me that I should call next Monday because by then HD should have all the numbers they need.
⁴⁄₁₁: Called Home Depot on Monday and they received nothing from TK Installations. Told me to call back next day and assured me they will definitely have the measurements.
⁴⁄₁₂: Called Home Depot again and still nothing. Was told that they will contact TK Installations and see why there’s a delay. Told me to call back next day.
⁴⁄₁₃: Called Home Depot again and still nothing.
⁴⁄₁₄: Called Home Depot again and still nothing. At this point I’ve become very annoyed. How hard is it to put the measurement sheet in a fax machine and fax it over.
⁴⁄₁₅: Finally after a whole week, Home Depot called me and asked me to come in to the store to finalize the order because they just received the measurements.
⁴⁄₁₆: Went to Home Depot and during order finalization, Home Depot noticed that TK Installation’s person (who did the measurements) wrote some notes on the measurement sheet, which Home Depot did not understand. Told me that they will have to confirm the notes first with TK Installations.
⁴⁄₁₈: Home Depot called and explained that when they contacted TK Installations, the company also did not understand the notes (WTF! These are your measurement note). Told me that they will have to track down the person who actually wrote the notes.
⁴⁄₁₉: Called Home Depot and was told they have yet able to find the person from TK Installations who did the measurements.
⁴⁄₂₀: Finally, Home Depot got a hold of the measurement person and everything clears. I was told that the shades will be ready within 2 weeks, when TK Installations will call me to schedule the installation.
⁵⁄₁₀: Heard nothing from TK Installations for 20 days. No phone calls and no explanation on why there’s a delay. I ended up calling Home Depot, who said that they tried to contact TK Installations but the company is either out on lunch or is closed for the day (they close way too early).
⁵⁄₁₁: TK Installations finally called me and scheduled an appointment for next Monday. I’m not going to restate my phone call with TK Installations but let’s just say that there’s evidence (based on what the lady who called accidentally said) that shows Home Depot delivered the shades I ordered way early and TK Installations just somehow forgot to let me know.
⁵⁄₁₆: Installation day. Again, the TK Installations employee (Carlos) was extremely nice. However, it was discovered during installation that one panel’s measurement was wrong!!! The person who originally came out measured it too small. Carlos told me that they will reorder the correct size and will call me again once that’s ready. They will come out again to install the correct size. Carlos told me that there’s nothing else I need to do with Home Depot. He assured me that he will take care of the paperwork.
⁵⁄₁₇: Called Home Depot to confirm problem on size. Was told that TK Installations notified them of the wrong size but did no official paperwork for reordering. The Home Depot lady asked me, «so do you still want us to order the correct size?» Seriously??? Because sure I’m just going to stick with the wrong size shade for my window?!
⁵⁄₃₁: Called TK Installations for status on reordering and was told they have nothing yet.
If you are tried of reading this long review already, well don’t worry because I’m just as tired. If I knew that the process of just getting some shades for my office window is this difficult, I would have went to Lowe’s. This was not some fancy renovation projects. It’s just cutting up some shades according to my window sizes and put them up. 2 months for some window shades? I can’t even begin to think the time period it’s going to take for any other installation jobs that are slightly harder or bigger. Please stay away from this company. If you order anything via Home Depot, ask them for another contractor option.
As of today, I am still waiting for the correct size.

We just moved into our house, and bought custom blinds from Home Depot. TK Installations were the chosen installers.
They were great. The installer was there on time, and did the entire house in 1 hour.
Betsy was a pleasure to deal with also. She helped coordinate a time that was convenient on the weekend for the window blind install.

They don’t come with all the parts for installation and if you don’t have every last part they won’t install

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company through Home Depot. I ordered blinds the first week of January and was told we would have them in 10 days. Feb. 25^th I called TK to find the blinds and they did not know anything about the order. I canceled the order finally with Home Depot on March 7^th since no one knew where our order was — 3 sets of custom blinds! How do you lose those?
We told Home Depot if they found the blinds to call us. March 26^th I get two calls from TK Installation on my cell phone and work wanting to schedule an install. Great, they found the blinds. TK was to install today between 2−5pm but they were a no show. TK tells me Home Depot cancelled the order with them on March 9^th! Then why did you call me March 26^th to schedule an install and not call me and cancel the appointment?
I would NEVER use this company. They are rude and unprofessional. DO NOT ORDER BLINDS FROM HOME DEPOT.

Worst. Company. Ever.
Home Depot is also the same for deciding to associate themselves to this low grade horrible installation company. TK installation is ghetto. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else. Orchard is better.

if you are getting anything done with Homedepot make sure you don’t end up with this people, they mis-​measured initially and after 5 visit and still have 7 windows that have wrong size roller shade, and the last installer they sent to my house was under influence (drunk or high) damaged our furniture by dropping the equipment from 14 feet high and damaged the window casings … stay away from this company !

I also decided to get blinds through the Home Depot — and they used TK Installations as well. Unfortunately my experience was not the same as Ken F’s…Our installer came generally on time but somehow only arrived with 3 of the 5 blinds we ordered. The only recourse it seems I have is to make another appointment (probably another week…) and hope that this next time they don’t miss the remaining 2 blinds. This one-​star rating doesn’t reflect my view of the installer’s professionalism — it reflects the fact that I would never go through Home Depot or TK Installations again for this type of work.

They incorrectly measured our windows TWICE! Things happen, mistakes are made so I can understand errors can happen, but twice??? Really?
On a couple of our blinds, the metal draw strings are way too long, so they hang past the window frame. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
They also forgot to put the plastic wall attachments on all the windows. I reminded the 2^nd installer about this problem and he didn’t «carry extras» with him so he said he’ll notify the office and they can be shipped to me so I can install them myself. What? Isn’t that what I’m paying you guys to do? Either way, it’s been over three weeks and I have yet to receive anything in the mail or get a phone call regarding this.
It’s been over five weeks, they’ve been to my place 4 times and the job still hasn’t been completed. Definitely not recommended by this unsatisfied customer.

I needed blinds put into my new place and went to Home Depot and they had a crazy deal with installation and custom fitting! They used TK Installations! They sent out a person to do all the measurements and then within 7 days they had a guy to come out and do the install.
«Dave» came out and did an amazing job! He came out in the rain was flexible on time as I was running a couple errands at lunch time…“Dave” had a great personality, was trustworthy and was very fast with his installation!!! He was knowledgeable about a lot of things around my house and especially the blinds! He was in and out installing 9 windows in under 1 hour!!!
I would definitely recommend TK Installations and especially if they are used with Home Depot because I got a killer deal, custom and done in 1 week!!!
