I had an appointment scheduled for a few weeks ago but they called to cancel, said the doctor wouldn’t be available and that they would call the following week to reschedule. I waited but no call from them, so I called, but it went to voicemail and the voicemail was full.
I went by the place today and there was a sign on he door that said that due to unforeseen circumstances, they were closed… as in gone, out of business. There were lots of UPS delivery tags on the door too.
I wonder what happened? I’d like to get my records. Now I need to find a new place. They were so nice, I’m very disappointed.

Love these guys! Great service. They are even open on Sundays! They take my insurance. What more could I ask? Highly recommended.

Noticing that I had recent visual changes, I was concerned and wanted to see the optometrist rather quickly. When I called to make an appointment they were booked; however, I was called back with a cancellation and got in the next morning. I only have good feedback here’s why:
1.) Super friendly staff/great customer service. Youre made to feel at ease (I was nervous)
2.) Clean, easy to find location
3.) They don’t try to sell you something you don’t need.
I’d recommend them to anyone.

This was my first time here, and it is now my favorite place to get an eye exam! Dr. Levy and his staff were so friendly, helpful and personable – you feel like family. You can tell that they really care about their customers because they take the time to explain everything to you and they go above and beyond in helping their customers find what they need. They even fixed the loose hinges on my current frames without saying anything! I had taken my glasses off so the assistant could read my currently prescriptions, and when I got them back, they felt snug and new! My frames started to loosen up over time, but I just figured it was normal wear and tear. Little did I know it was from just a loose screw/hinge. Dr. Levy and his staff are so sweet! I would definitely recommend this place to family, friends, and dog lovers (there are two dogs there).

Love this place! I’ve been going to Hillandale Optician for about 3 years now, on the recommendation of a friend (reinforced by the positive Unilocal reviews). Dr. Levy is very pleasant, and Angel and Deborah are wonderful to work with when I choose my new frames. I got my first progressive lenses from them recently and they made the experience painless.
I heartily recommend these folks for eye exams and glasses. They are a bit harder to find now that they’ve moved out of the Safeway plaza, so be sure to check an online map before you go.

Great Experience! With all the terrible chain glasses places with terrible reviews, I am surprised this place wasn’t more busy. They took us right away with no appointment and did an amazing job! Found our new glasses place. Would recommend and shop here again.

Good place to get glasses and grab some Indian at the new place next door. A nice, family-run business that brings their pet doggies to work. Just what I would do if I had a store!
Not cheap, though.
