The Good, The Bad and Ugly of Montgomery Trace Apartments The Good: Nice Space. Apartments are nice in size. It was the aspect that convinced me to sign the lease. Most of the neighbors are quiet(keyword: MOST.) It can vary from building to building. My building seemed to only have one problem neighbor and contributed to the reason I moved. Service requests are fulfilled(see ugly for details.) The Bad: You can hear everything going on around you. The floors creek and if you have someone above you will hear everything they do; including going to the bathroom. If you have a noisy/problem neighbor, kiss quiet time(and your sanity) goodbye. Mice. Simply put, I caught 3 mice within the time I stayed there. Management does not answer the phone during business hours but they do return messages. The Ugly: If you desire a short commute by car into DC, this isn’t the place for you. Management may sell you on the fact they are near major intersections and a short drive into DC but this is not the case. I averaged out 1 hr — 1:15 hr commute time into DC. Knowing when maintenance will provide service is unpredictable. Once you place your service request they may come today, tomorrow, next week. If you work you will never know when they enter your property but it will get fixed. Grand Pre Road should really be named to Grand Prix Road. Cars zoom down this road day and night. One evening a truck hit several cars on this road and kept on driving; leaving a trail of smashed in cars, including a work van that was pushed onto the curb. Also this complex is right across the street from a park so if you have children, this may concern you.
