I ordered the chopped salad, it was Iceberg lettuce with dressing and a few pieces of pecans. No chopped greens, blue cheese crumbles or green onions as listed on the menu. I told the server, she said OK and walked away. The burgers & fries were cold when they got to the table, there was a teaspoon of catchup in a side cup, and we had to ask for more. No mayo with the burgers, we had to ask for that also. The bathrooms were a pig sty. The other server in the bar area dropped a credit card, I grabbed him and pointed out the card. He picked it up off the floor and did not even thank me. Our server gave us our check, it wasn’t ours. We had to wait for her to come around again, she gave us our check and did not even apologize.

Lets set the record straight. The only reason anyone comes here is because they are to lazy to drive to Rockville, Silver Spring, or Bethesda for a good steak. It is inexpensive, which is why you always find Outbacks in cheap areas. This is basic food. They do not do anything here that will encourage repeat business unless your idea of good food is KFC/Taco Bell. We all had burgers(I would never order a steak here, I would just be disappointed I spent the money on it) and the burgers are fine. Nothing special, nothing delicious, nothing that sets them apart from the million other places that serve burgers in the area. Ok, they will put a fried onion on top of one with some secret sauce… Is anyone impressed by that these days? Time to elevate your pallets people!!! The server was good, i never felt rushed, he was very attentive, but that alone does not warrant a return visit. Sorry Aspen Hill, your food choices suck! You have Chipotle and now Roy Rogers coming soon. That’s it.

Took my 94 year old Grandfather here last night. Not to mention, he is a WWII Vet. He does not eat large meals for dinner, if anything at all. We asked if he could order a kids meal. No! They would not let him. They firmly said he was not allowed. I was a bit angry and explained the situation. End result, they would not let him order a kids meal. We still ate there and ordered a full rack of ribs. The full rack looked like a half rack. No question about it. We finally spoke to a manager. He gave us 15% off the check. WOW, THANKS! Never coming back! Can serve WWII Vets the meal they want? Sad and sick place.

Meh. Food is ok 2⁄3 of the time I’d say. Steak being cooked correctly is hit or miss most of the time. Service is inconsistent. Depends on who you get to wait on you I guess. Feel like the call ahead seating is pretty pointless and makes no difference because you will still most definitely wait to be seated. Still a good value in my opinion.

There was no service. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. Our waiter got to us like 15 minutes after we arrived. My husband got his food but I never recieved mine. Will not be back.

I have been to this outback several times but lately the quality of service has gone down. My boyfriend and I went in last night for dinner and were greeted by our server immediately. He took our order and everything was fine. Our appetizers arrived and about 20 mins later our meal arrived. I ordered a 10oz rib eye cooked medium. The rib eye was in no way medium. I have worked in the service industry for years and I have always ordered my steak medium. The steak was rare– not medium rare but rare. I showed my server and he took only the steak back to have it cooked medium. Meanwhile my boyfriend had asked for a loaded baked potato and received a plain potato. The server did bring out some cheese and bacon for him. At this point 20 mins had gone by and my sides were completely cold and my boyfriend stopped eating cuz he felt bad eating in front of me. Now both of our foods are cold. They bring the steak out and now it’s cooked well done. The top of the steak is burnt and there is no pink on the inside of the steak. The server brings a manager over and I explained to him what was happening. At this point I was tired of waiting and just wanted to leave. They did comp my meal and I had it made to go. Oh and my boyfriend was there last Sunday to with some family and they had no mashed potatoes. We went exactly a week after and they still didn’t have any. According to the server their steamer is broken. This isn’t the first time this happens and it’s sad. I love the food but the kitchen seems to be slacking a lot more now.

Can’t get through one sitting at this place without 3 – 4 mistakes being done. This happens every time and causes me to stay away for months at a time. Returned after 8 – 9 mos this weekend, told my two sons why we haven’t been back here in a while before entering and they witnessed firsthand the incompetence. Server brought appetizer but forgot silverware(waited 5 mins), dropped shrimp from my son’s shrimp dish while handing it to him(did not replace them) and forgot my lobster trail from my surf and turf order. My son’s couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Told them Outbacks is off the list of restaurants. We’ll go to McDonald’s before returning here ever again.

Don’t. Just don’t. Maybe it’s just us, but we always have bad experiences at Outbacks. So we’ll never go to any of them again. Went to this location last night. For my Mom’s birthday dinner. Let me just list what went wrong: 1) My Mom called to make a reservation in the afternoon. They even took her name, time and number of people. We showed up on-time and the host said«We don’t take reservations.» So we waited for about 15 – 20 minutes, longer than what the host was telling everyone, «reservations» or not, which was 5 – 10 minutes. My Mom started getting frustrated and told the host to seat us immediately. He did. Don’t mess with my Mom! 2) We sat at our table. It was dirty. The chairs were dirty. The floor had crap all over it. 3) We then waited for a good 10 minutes until my wife finally asked someone to get us a server. 4) Our drinks and appetizer appeared pretty quickly. But our main courses took another ½ hour, literally, to appear. 5) My Mom’s dinner, a nice small sirloin, was actually cold. 6) I called for the manager. He came over and I explained all of the above. He repeatedly apologized for everything and said that he’d take care of some of this on our bill. 7) The bill came. The wonderful manager comped my Mom’s meal. Nothing else. After telling him that we had been at his restaurant for over an hour before our meals arrived, along with all of the other issues, all he did was comp one dish. This was a GREAT birthday dinner! Best ever!!! Our waiter was good. He noticed that I wasn’t very happy with that one comp(he didn’t ask; I guess he saw an unhappy look on my face) so he then had them take an additional 20% off. +1 for the waiter, and I wrote on the receipt that I hoped he got 100% of my tip, rather than sharing among the whole staff. –1 for the manager and the entire restaurant. They. Just. Suck. Outbacks just aren’t worth the trouble. This isn’t the first time. But it is the last time.

The waiter screwed up our order. Soup salad and main course all came out at once. Two of the people that went out with us ended up with diarrhea! This place has great potential, seems like it just needs new management!

I have been to this Outback several times over the years and the food is usually very good and the wait staff quick and competent. We always call ahead and rarely have to wait long to get a table. Actually, a booth as i always ask for it, and they always accommodate us. The last two times however, the filet mignon both me and my wife got, was way below grade. Especially for a place that calls itself a steak house. It was cooked okay, but the quality of the meat itself was bad. Very veiny and laced with fat. You pay a premium for a filet to have the pleasure of eating the entire thing. Not the case with Outback’s cuts it seems. The wait staff and other food was good but we are there for the steak ! We won’t be going back.

I took the family here just to try it out again. I ordered the special. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. The unlimited shrimps sucks! Slow service! In two hours, i got a whopping total of 3 shrimp orders. My Filet Mignon has so much fat on it. This sucks! Joshua remind me to never come here again.

Service was a bit slow but the manager kept coming over to check on us and the experience overall was enjoyable. The Firecracker Salmon and the Shrimp on the Barbie app were both amazing. Will be going back soon!

I came here with my family to celebrate something special. What I learned on this visit — never eat tacos at a steakhouse. So I wanted to try something new and saw they had Aussie Chicken Tacos on the menu. There is nothing wrong with the tacos, it was just not what I expected, that’s all. The tacos were neither soft nor hard; it looked and tasted more like tortilla wraps(they said it was flour tacos), which is certainly much different in taste/texture when you are expecting a regular taco(soft or hard), but as I said, lesson learned. Now, if you want to try their ribs, those are delicious and even their chicken, which was a bit chewy, but I still enjoyed it just the same. I think my family got the Full rack of ribs and chicken and another got a pork chop meal and they did not leave anything behind, so they must have enjoyed it. They have a kids menu and they do provide kids a coloring book with crayons. As you wait for your meal, you are provided with some soft bread and butter. We did not have any appetizers on this visit, but a few in our party did try the Clam Chowder and the Potato Soup. The Clam Chowder comes with crackers; The Potato Soup was a bit salty, but I still had it as I like Potato Soup overall and my toppings were melted cheese and bacon(I told them to hold the green onions). I don’t normally come to Outback Steakhouse, but overall the food was okay. The service we had on this visit was much better than our last visit but can still be improved — our server took a very long while to notice that we wanted our bill and when it did come, it took them a lot of trips to get it in check. However, I am sure I will be back at this place again in the future.

I’ve been here many times where I had experienced the«old» Outback that consisted of bland food, watery alcoholic drinks and sh*tty service to the newly improved Outback with new décor, great tasty selections and good service. This place is usually packed with long lines during dinner time and weekends so expect to wait 10 – 45 minutes. There are a good amount of space to sit down and wait. Food: they must’ve a new chef or something because the quality of the food is consistent: steak is cooked to whatever you requested(before it was either too rare or well-done), the aussie cheese fries have actual Canadian bacon bits with great blue cheese dressing and the butter that comes with the bread is better than before! Service: Consistent professional service, attentive and friendly. Back then, almost all of the server you get has an attitude or would disappear for long periods of time. Tip: do not opt for carry out, the food or experience is not as great compared to eating in the restaurant.

Carry out order placed for 5 p.m. Pickup, it is now 523, and still no progress, despite 11 backed up in the takeout lobby… They still do not understand the concept of bringing out more people to support the carry out side of the operation. At this point, it doesn’t matter how good or how bad it is, because the wait for the food has nullified the purpose of going out in the first place. I then had one more surprise. My order was sitting in a bag on the shelf I photographed; it sat there for almost twenty minutes, while I on three separate occasions requested that someone check to see if my order was ready. Another patron decided to take matters into her own hands, and went to the bags, and lo and behold-my order was sitting there… along with the others in the photo, all while the group sat there awaiting them to be handed to us. No one was happy! This was a totally unacceptable way to handle takeaway. No one was doing the overall job of matching outgoing bags to their patrons, it all got cold!

I am a Kansas girl and I like my meat fresh, juicy and cooked perfectly! I would never turn down a free meal at Ruth’s Chris or The Prime Rib, but I am happy to pick up the check at a steakhouse like Outback… where all they do is grill beef and they do it well. Depending on the time of day, there is always a wait at Outback. This location in Silver Spring has had a face lift. No longer gimmicky, they have stepped it up a notch. Classy. Greeted immediately at the bar by Travis. He brought me an ice tea and filled out a card so I knew I was going to be taken care of by «Travis & Matt». Service was stellar. Travis brought me a loaf of bread while I waited for my steak and my glass was barely emptied before a new one replaced it! My 12 oz sirloin was grilled medium-rare and the shrimp skewers were wrapped in bacon($ 20). Big thank you to Travis who found out that the shrimp wrapped in bacon was the same price as the other shrimp. He hasn’t been with Outback that long, but he is a great addition to their team. My mixed veggies were scrumptious and tender except for a couple of hard carrots. Snow pea pods? Winner! If I knew my dinner was going to be cut short(work called), I would have ordered the sweet potato with brown sugar but I enjoyed every bite of the dressed baked potato. Why did I give a steak chain 5 stars? Outstanding service. The food runner wouldn’t let me touch a hot plate. He also got me a little bumper tray so I could be closer to my steak. When Travis was busy, Matt made sure to bring me another ice tea without my asking. It was almost 10pm but the team at Outback made sure I had everything I needed. Oh. And the steak was pretty good too! ;) This Outback on Georgia Avenue does a great job of hiring attentive staff. I have never been disappointed in the past 10 years!

I’ve been here several times and all my visits has been pleasant. Our server today was very professional and on top of everything. We didn’t have to ask for a refill or get the plates cleaned out as we finished eating despite the fact that the restaurant was packed and waiting time of 30 minutes. Our food came out great but I feel like my medium-well steak came out more like medium-rare and my husband’s medium-well came out like well-done. Anyways, we didn’t mind because we didn’t want to wait for our food any longer. We got the house frozen margarita. It came out great and tastes good too. Not too much/less liquor like many other places. Anyways, manager Megan was nice and checked on us to make sure everything was going well. Overall, great experience each time we come in here. One star taken off simply because the wait time is little long and foods come out little slow. That’s all.

I would recommend coming here on if you get Thana as a waitress. She’s awesome! She was attentive and made sure my Mom’s birthday dinner was extra special! She gets 5 stars! I know I speak for EVERYONE that waited for a table when I say that we were BEYOND frustrated with the lack of professionalism shown by the hostess and staff: It is outrageous that 6 parties were told 30 minutes and all of us waited for at least an hour! They were not seating people in the available sections because they didn’t have enough staff! IT’S A BUSYDAYSINCEWEDNESDAYISTHEDAYFORSPECIALDEALS! HOWONEARTHDOYOUNOTHAVEENOUGHSTAFF?

Food was great. Parents loved the most recent special of a steak with lobster tail. I got the porterhouse steak. Always tasty and filling. My wife tried the lamb. She thought it was good and would order it again. The décor has been updated over the years as well as the server uniform. I guess it’s bee a while some I’ve been here. Overall our experience was a good one. Thank you for reading my review. This is based off of my personal opinion and experience.
