The price is great! And she did great acrylics. She did however leave polish on the old acrylic so it is now stuck under the new. Also the polish work is rough. Spots are not smooth and there are bubbles. Very friendly.

I stopped in on a whim, as I was in the area for work, found myself with a little extra time, and was in desperate need of a manicure. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once inside it was bright and clean, and I got to watch«Let’s Make a Deal» while I got my manicure, which I haven’t seen in YEARS. :) The manicurist got me right in, and although she was quiet she was very friendly. However, I will say that the quality of the manicure wasn’t what I’m accustomed to. She didn’t do much at all in the way of trimming my cuticles, and one of my nails had so much polish on it that it never did dry. I ended up re-painting when I got home. Their price was good, only $ 10 for the manicure, but I guess as with most things you get what you pay for. Since I’m not often in this area, I probably won’t be back. If I DO find myself in the area, I might give them one more shot just to see if the manicure experience was a fluke.

–FORWAXINGONLY– This review is not applicable to their nail services, which I have not received. The last time I got my eyebrows waxed at Peter’s, my usual esthetician(I had to Wikipedia«waxing» to find that term) did not come to my aid. It was this scared looking girl who looked like she had never done this before. And all signs point to my being right. Her hand was shaky, she spilled wax on my shirt, and she let out a huge sigh of relief when she was done. Upon looking at my eyebrows, it looked like she hadn’t done anything at all. I didn’t want her to try anymore, so I just paid and left and never looked back. I once went there to get my legs waxed, and it took three times longer than it did when I went to a slightly higher-end salon. She waxed tiny little strips at a time and it was just the most inefficient thing ever. So if you’re thinking about going to Peter’s, feel free to get your nails done — just don’t get waxed.
