Got pork bahn mi, which was excellent, and a basic beef phở. I had to fight off my cat while I was consuming the phở, and it was still tasty for lunch the next day. Fast service, next to a bus stop as well as the parking garage, and worth the time to stop in on your way home.

I was craving for the phở. The close by phở’s were closed. So we checked on Unilocal and decided on this place. 1– reviews were good. 2– Wayne parking is just across the street. So we came expecting the standard flavorful phở. We’ve been to almost 10 different places and the variation in taste is usually marginal. We thought that all phở’s were the same, but oh boy! we were so wrong! It could be that we came on a bad day. Not sure! But let me tell you: 1– broth had no flavor. Nothing! Nada! Blah! And a little bit yucky too. 2– the meat smelled! 3– the noodles lumped into one and when trying to brake it apart it broke into small pieces. I usually never put any of that red and brown sauce into my phở because I think it ruins the flavor. This time I put so much into it to mask the flavor and I still couldn’t eat it. Never coming back for sure! One star goes to the good service!

The place is very neatly maintained and the staff is amazingly nice. Their viet steak is good and it comes with French fries. Their spice lemon grass chicken soup was also okay. Their noodles are a little thicker which kind of throws me off but it does fill you up more! Will be coming again! Xx –safoura

this place has one of the best phở in the DMV area, next to phở 75 in Rossyln! I love their vegetable phở with chicken broth(must get the chicken broth & not their beef broth) because 1. it is so freaken flavorful 2. portion & price can’t be beat 3. their crispy fried tofus are perfection! Also, try the grilled chicken & beef summer rolls! they’re so much better than regular summer rolls and they put enough meat in them to hit the spot :) Their grilled chicken was tastier imo so I’ll just them instead of the beef next time. They come in four, which is great for sharing. Def will come back when I have my phở cravings. Service is good too!

I’ve ordered phở chicken soup from here it’s okay. I live upstairs and its convenient for me. They have really good staff always friendly and accommodations are never a problem. Also their bubble tea is so good! Not many Vietnamese places in this area have bubble tea. Overall great phở!

Ordered online. Got email confirmation saying we would be contacted shortly. Half hour passed with no contact. Called and confirmed order and was told delivery would be in about half hour. An hour later no food. Called and person who didn’t speak English answered and ended up hanging up on me. Called back multiple times without an answer. Called from different number and they answered but hung up on us again. One and a half hours had passed. Then got call they were at an apartment bldg. We live in a single family home. Cancelled order and will never order from there again.

While the phở was great, the rest of the food was not. The spring rolls tasted like they were frozen and were not fresh. The grill pork left much to be desired. With so many great Vietnamese restaurants in the area, this place is not able to compete.

Have gotten spring rolls with the AWESOME thick and tangy peanut sauce… rolls are nice and fat and the rice paper YUMMY! $ 3.95 Also ordered the Banh mi sandwiches with beef and very delicious for only $ 5. Place is quaint and clean the bowls of Phở look crazy… next time!

The 411: a respectable establishment with an okay bowl of phở Since phở is such an iconic dish, many restaurants have slightly different twists or takes on the dish. It’s the subtle intricacies of a bowl of phở that can either make or break a restaurant. I got the large p1. The meats were plentiful and the broth was clear. The broth was pleasantly salty(msg?) but lacked in the spice and herb department. The garnishes they gave us were clean and mostly fresh but they were really wet when they gave it to me. That is a bit of a peeve for me, for if they’re too wet, it could dilute the broth, and we can’t have that. But other than that, service was friendly and the establishment was clean. I can’t complain. Prices were mostly fair, especially for that area of silver spring. Bottom line: I’ll definitely be back here for a bowl of the good stuff if I’m ever around to go to the Fillmore for another concert. Phở is a great dish before a concert because it’s filling but not something that makes you feel sluggish.

Food could have been better. Spring rolls came out with one sad piece of soggy lettuce. Phở came out with pretty standard vegetables which also didnt look too fresh. Phở stayed clumped up even after trying to break up the noodles with chopsticks. Worst part was the guy who brought my food out reeked of cigarettes. Just trying not to imagine him smoking a cig while getting my food together a la peg bundy style from married with children. Music too loud. Some street parking as well as wayne ave parking garage.

Pretty darn good… Feeling a bit under the weather and what else but Phở to make you feel better?! Working in downtown SS for the past 4 years and I still have yet to seek a good establishment for Phở. Thank you, Unilocal! New restaurant located across the street from the Wayne Ave public parking garage right next to the new library. The restaurant itself is very blah. No real décor, white walls, nothing inviting but nothing to deter you from not visiting. Today I’m anti-social, so I was very pleased I was able to make my order online in advance without speaking to someone and completely butchering the proper pronunciation of what I’m ordering. Made the order and boop! Once I walked in 10 minutes later and it was just coming out the kitchen. Yeassss! Simple, fast, no chit-chatting and I’m outta there! Food: I got the flank and skirt flank phở. Everything was separated with some extras included. Huge serving in my opinion. I was only able to eat half of it. Good amount of it for $ 7.50. I also got the vegetable spring rolls. These were yummy. Bought them to split with my coworker and I should have gotten another batch! There were only 2 to an order for $ 3.50 but they were delicious. I could taste how fresh the veggies were. Yummo. Overall, my experience was good. I will definitely return. Oh yeah, they also deliver for free for orders over $ 20.

I came here on a college friend’s recommendation(thanks Trang!) :) Food: We ordered the Vietnamese pancakes, grilled chicken rolls(4), and he ordered a phở with brisket. My Vietnamese pancakes were really good. They came out quickly and with loads of basil(immediate plus!!) This was my first time trying them, so I do not have a sounding board of experience to compare them with. However, to eat the pancakes, you wrap little bite sized buts into the small lettuce pieces and dip it into the nuc nom. Very tasty. The phở had a very home cooked broth. It reminded me of the phở a friend’s mom used to make for me. Unfortunately, the beef steak pieces looked and tasted like the steakuums you would buy in the frozen section of the local Safeway. It detracted from the phở’s wonderful broth. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The phở additions(jalapeño, basil, bean sprouts) all tasted fresh. Ambiance: No music, again. No music really makes for an awkward dining experience, especially when no other diners are present. At least some sounds from the kitchen escaped to the front. That helped. Service: Not the worst for a Viet place. The waiter was over once for a water refill. However, we did have to flag him down another time. I would come back again :)

Had Vegetarian Phở and a Pork sub take-out. They will come out to the bus stop and give you your meal so you don’t have to park and come in — nice touch. The soup was full of vegetables and the broth wasn’t too heavy. The Sub was good, crisp french roll, thin-sliced grilled pork with tons of sprouts, cilantro and spicy peppers.

Overall the food was good and the staffs were friendly. Very cute clean place. The flan(coconut flavor) was banging though.

I love Phở to a point where if I find out about a new restaurant that I go there at least 3 times in one week. This place is good! I always go for my standards(phở, ice coffee and garden rolls). I was happy with everything I had and look forward to ordering the«grilled rolls».

Check out the new Phở grill in Silver Spring. One block from Whole Foods. I think this used to be a chicken skewer restaurant previously. As seen below my favorite Vietnamese dish. Grilled pork chop with pork skin, fried egg over broken rice n fish sauce. Yummy! I will have to come back and check out the Phở!

Good access to the parking garage and nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. I had the vegetarian phở and my girlfriend had the veg noodle bowl. Both were really good! The summer rolls were also good and tasted very fresh. It’s nice to finally have a good Vietnamese restaurant in Silver Spring!

New viet place in Silver Spring right across the street from the large parking lot on Wayne, so parking to get here is convenient. People here were really nice and attentive. They got our orders out pretty fast. The place is clean since it’s new. Nothing special about the décor though. The food was just average. The phở dac biet came with a lot of meat but the noodles were overlooked and the broth tasted a little salty without too much other spice flavor. The Vietnamese pancake was interesting — it had mung bean and bacon in it. Their fried rum banana dessert was somewhat disappointing, couldn’t really taste the rum. Nothing too special about this place, but it sure beats the Phở-Hiep Hoa in the mall area and probably has the most convenient parking out of all the phở places in the area.
