Sweet baby Moses and all the latter day saints! I HATE this location. It services a very low income area and as such they have a security guard to deter theft. The self checkout cashier accused me of stealing crab legs. The hell? At the point where my purse costs more than your paycheck, don’t accuse me of stealing some little funky crab legs!

Absolutely disgusting!!! One bathroom for all your customers and disgustingly dirty. Should tell us something for the rest of the store. Plus no bags at self checkout? Whose brilliant idea is this?

I generally like this Safeway, but this was the second time within two weeks that I bought strawberries that became moldy within 48 hours of purchase.

I wish there was an option for no starts because that’s what this place deserves. Lived by at the Woodlake Apartments recently, used to go this place all the time, I almost wanted to call the Corporate officers after going here to tell them«Do you have any idea you’re paying people to do nothing?» Unfriendly staff, unhelpful staff, crap always spilled in the isles… Onetime I picked up a 12-pack of seltzer water and cans fell out of the soaked cardboard. Really, really, remarkably bad customer service & attention. If you can find a hand basket to go shopping with if you don’t need a cart… then you’re a magician because I don’t think they exist at this location. Oh yeah and if you really want to have some fun, come by here on a Friday night when the police are doing drug sting operations because people are selling dope on the street corner of this shopping plaza. Numerous times I’ve seen arrests and Montgomery County Police Cars stationed out right at the front doors. Briggs Chaney is a crummy neighborhood and this«Un-Safeway» as one of my friends called it, backs up the reputation.

No idea why they feel the need to turn off all their self checkout kiosks and have one cashier open almost all the time. The line is always super long. The older staff working here are always polite and smiling. The young staff are rude and don’t care to help no one. This safeway is so far behing compared to the other safeways around.

The staff is rude. They were running a promo if you buy $ 100 from a selection of gift cards you get a coupon for $ 10 off your next purchase. But somehow the Lowe’s card rang up as a generic gift card even though it’s supposed to be a part of the promotion so the threshold was not met. So I brought it up to the manager on duty and he laughed at me. I showed him a print out of the promotion as an ad and said this is supposed to be a $ 10 coupon printout and not an ad. I said I bought enough cards with the red tag to qualify but he said i just didn’t understand. So I asked if the coupon will printout on the next visit? I put my groceries in the car and came back to purchase some more items seeing if the coupon will print out and of course it didn’t. I asked him so when will I get the $ 10 coupon? He laughed in my face. You’re supposed to buy $ 100 worth of cards. I said I did ten minutes ago and nothing printed out. He begrudgingly gave me a hand written voucher for $ 10 off next purchase. I told him maybe one of the cards didn’t ring up, he yelled back I just gave you $ 10 back what more do you want? Maybe an apology for humiliating me in front of other customers? Maybe check to see why the Lowe’s card did not ring up as a Lowe’s card so that the next person buying a Lowe’s card won’t go through what I went through? Your register system is wrong, not me. I made a call into the Safeway customer service line and expect to hear back from the store manager. Trust me that idiot will not have his job much longer. I also work in retail at a corporate office and I understand good customer service. This manager on duty that day needs major retraining or a demotion. You do not humiliate or call your customer stupid. EVER!

This is my neighborhood grocery store, so I’ve been here several times. The store is well kept and stocked. Very friendly staff, same high prices like they are know for having. There is a full service suntrust bank inside and a hot bar, no salad bar. The only complaint I have for this location, they NEVER have enough cashiers working, no matter what time of the day you go there is only 1 register open in 4 – 5 self check lanes. I have never considered this store a in and out type of store, you will wait in line.

I wasn’t expecting this Safeway to be as nice as it was. I use to shop here back in 1989. The area has gone downhill since I lived here, but I was passing by and since my local Safeway didn’t have two sale items that I really wanted I thought I’d check in here. They had both items. Yay! The employee who just happened to be in the frozen food aisle at the time helped me find the ice cream bars I wanted.(They were on sale AND I had a coupon, so they were practically FREE!) The store is clean and most definitely has been updated since my short stint living out this way. I’d probably shop here if I lived nearby. I don’t know what else is nearby, except a Trader Joe’s about three miles down the road. However, if you are a fan of couponing(Safeway has their own in their circulars) then it’s fine to shop here.

Ripped off again… items consistently don’t ring up correctly at the register. Not worth my time to have it corrected considering they never have anyone at the service counter.
