Great food and people. This is our go to special restaurant whenever we want to be treated really good.

The chicken marsala once again exceeded my expectations. And Karen the tender of the bar who has been making me drinks for 22 years does the best mixes in town

Don;t go here if you want to enjoy a group of 6. Rudely treated for a group spending this much money. Owner came over once to tell us to be quiet. although we were just having normal conversation. We asked if anyone complained and he said no. He likes this place to be his baby and his local couples place. I get it. Was there with my wife a few times and know the owners from their other restaurant before they moved here but rude is never a good thing and I will never go back. neither will the group I was with(A general manager for one of the departments of the City of Los Angeles and a judge). Their loss.

With the demise of the Brown Derby, the Ambassador Hotel, Perino’s and many others from LA’s hay day, Barton’s Steak & Seafood still has the class, elegance and a superb dining not found in many restaurants anymore. We have never had a bad experience or meal. The staff is courteous and professional. And did I mention, one hell of a fine dining experience? Bravo to Barton’s Steak & Seafood.

I friend of mine turned me on to Barton’s recently. I am familiar with the location because of the previous restaurant that was here, Ciao. If you have been here, it is not the best location, being in a strip mall. Fortunately, the divey Regency Lounge is closed, so it is not as bad as it was in the past. It is the food and service more than make up for its location. The steak and fish were perfect. I love the Diablo Shrimp. They also have a piano player but unfortunately, we missed his visit. Well recommended.

Barton’s has the best lamb on the entire Pacific coast. I have tried them all ! You will be amazed when you pull up to this dump of a retail center, then walk in and have a meal better than Maestro’s for about a 1⁄3 of the price.

Food was amazing, and the service was even better! It’s a little pricey but with service like this, I don’t mind paying! If you haven’t tried this place, it’s a must!

I knew I had to write this review when I was making dinner reservations for Christmas Eve and realized that the only place in town I would consider truly special was Barton’s. This place is such a hidden gem that even most locals don’t know about it, and I think that’s a shame. Barton’s is an old school fancy restaurant. It’s beautiful, the service is fantastic, the steaks are amazing, and there’s a guy in the corner playing piano. My husband and I have celebrated Anniversaries and Valentines Day here, and now Christmas Eve, and they have never disappointed. I was happy to see they were a full house on Christmas Eve, but when I mention the place to friends, they have never heard of it! Don’t miss this! AND don’t be deterred by the location…

Like most of the reviews that you’ll see the restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a little strip mall, but don’t let that intimidate you! The inside is very warm and inviting and if you’re really looking for a fine dining experience in Simi Valley there are so few choices. You could go to Larsons or you could go to Sutters Mill but when you come to Bartons you feel special. The host and the server(especially Andrea) are so nice and friendly! Our server recommended the Chilean sea bass which was excellent and of course for the dessert we had a lovely cheesecake with the words Happy Anniversary spelled out on the plate which is such a nice touch!

The menu sounds better than the actual experience. Be wary Simi peeps. You’re better off going to Larsens.

Hi Barton’s, Thanks for sending us to a competitor for an awesome meal. Let’s explain. My wife got us reservations for 8pm tonight, a Friday night but Barton’s wasn’t so busy that they didn’t even ask for our reservation name. We got seated right away and that was pretty much it. The bus man served us bread within 3 minutes so that was a good start. We sat for 20 minutes and no service. Not even a glass of water. Again, it wasn’t crazy busy. I don’t want to mention that it was my birthday dinner that my lovely wife was taking me out for but it was. We stayed for 30 minutes and watched 2 tables get service well after we were seated but that’s ok as well. The fact that their servers walked past us more than 5 times and never acknowledged our existence is unacceptable. When we left, I wanted to inform the manager of our complete disappointment. Instead of a manager, a server was sent over. She was polite but was totally blindsided by our feedback. I feel bad about posting poor reviews for a place that is locally owned. I cannot and will not recommend Barton’s to anyone just based on the complete and total lack of service in a less than busy night.

Me and my guy went there for a romantic evening, our anniversary… it was lovely. Food was really good and they prepared it the way you want. I had the halibut, had a lobster sauce, but since I am allergic had without and it was still delicious. He had the rib eye steak, very flavorful. The bread was hot and really fresh. Calamari was yummy too. The only thing was that my waitress asked if I wanted my meal boxed and I said yes, servings were a good portion, and she tossed it. Apologized but it was a good sized piece of fish and premium asparagus with wild rice. The drink comp just didn’t compare. But accidents happen. I will be sure to make sure it doesn’t happen again. I would go back and it is definitely a find in Simi !!!

This was a 2.5 meal. For their well cooked vegetables I’ll bump it to 3 stars. Food was very mediocre. Nothing impressed me at all. Sauces were heavily poured and over saturated the steak. The stuffed mushroom appetizers that were recommended so much on here were too cheesy and did not have any depth of flavor. The one item that was cooked well were the vegetables. Both my girlfriend and I both thought they were perfect. Not overcooked as many steakhouses do them, still a little crisp. Very well done on the veggies. Service was friendly and attentive. They prepare a few of the dishes table side which can be a bonus or something too much. Doubt we will be back.

Surprise dinner for our 3yr anniversary! Didn’t even know was in that little store front… Walked in and was very spacious inside, lighting was low, not loud. And looked very old school fancy, was excited!!! It took awhile to get someone to take out drink order, but after that it was great! Food, waitress(Marie), and over all WOW! I have the Chicken Monterey, and he had the pork chops, HUGE portions! When we were leaving she handed up a super cute to go box saying«happy 3yr anniversary». He just have told them when making the reservations! Very very thoughtful!

Super romantic spot for a special evening out. The hostess, Tiffany, was so sweet when seating us. She has a beautiful smile and she seemed sincerely happy to welcome us. This was our first visit to this hidden gem in Simi Valley. My wife and I both had the Halibut special that was stuffed with King Crab and topped with a lemon wine sauce– decadent! Also, we took advantage of their very reasonable $ 10 corkage fee and brought and enjoyed a really good bottle of our own wine. We will definitely be back!

What a delightful find! The interior is cozy and elegant given the space the restaurant is in. The menu is impressive and varied and gourmet. This is a amazing restaurant that I wish I knew about years ago. Perfect for a special occasion or for date night. It’s unfortunate that it’s in an unappealing shopping center with a pretty rough parking lot and low-end neighboring businesses. But once you get past that this is a TRULY five-star experience all around. Our server was attentive, pleasant, knowledgeable, and had a lovely personality which only added to the positive dinner experience. This is family business, which makes it even more appealing — much nicer than giving money to a high-end chain restaurant, and MUCH better. Highly recommend: Steaks, pasta and seafood dishes.

Delicious, elegant and fine dining. I attended a birthday party here and the food/drink was wonderful.
