I took a sliding screen door in for screen replacement. It wasn’t done right. There was a tear at the top and it wasn’t stretched tight on the bottom, so I took it back. They called a few days later to say it was done, but when I got there it was the same. They called again in a few days. This time, the tear was fixed but the looseness wasn’t. I took it anyway and found when I got home that somewhere along the line one of the top wheels had been lost. They refused to replace the wheel. My wife took the door to Home Depot and an employee there came out to the truck, replaced both top wheels and didn’t want to charge her for it, but she paid him anyway. Customer service at this Do It Center is very poor.

The employee Mikaela Sharp is very disrespectful. Not a help to anyone. Has a very bad attitude. Very bad representation of the store.

Went in to get pvc parts for a project that I’m doing. No employees in the area to help me. When I did get a guy, he was helpful, but had a long face. No enthusiasm! I asked for a pvc pole. Oh they are back there. All he was doing was putting away a restock cart. Zero customer service in the store. Cashier acted like her position was just a job. You never see the same employees. They must have a lot of turn overs of employees! I only shop there because it’s near my house. Prices are higher and not much of customer service! They need employees that really want to be there! Act like you want customers!

This is a decent alternative to the big-box stores. It’s surprisingly well-stocked of basic home improvement goods, including hardware and lumber. Not a bad experience, but expect to pay more than the big box stores.

AWFUL service! NEVER going back! I misplaced my receipt and the manager refused to take the wrong sized water heater connector back. He told me they do not give store credit, and he could not let me swap it for something I could use as he didn’t know what I paid – I might have had a discount. I said give me credit for a discounted price – I will never need this part. No way. I am stuck with this forever. And DIY has lost a customer. Lowes and Home Depot are easy to deal with, this is inexcusable.

Awful customer service, and Austin the cashier was very rude and unhelpful. Won’t be going back ever Home Depot and Lowes treat you much better and overpriced

Any time you need something quick for a touch up job around the house, this is the place to come. The prices are good and the staff are friendly when you ask them questions.

Top notch store. If you need an employee that knows what they’re talking about and happens to be standing in the right department(unlike The Home Depot), The Do-It Center is the place to go. As a seasoned professional, I can tell you that The Do-It Center is the place to find the harder-to-find parts you won’t find at the big box stores and the help from knowledgeable people. Their only downside is product selection which you would only find at the big boxes. But the big boxes also hire idiots that have no clue what they’re doing and are never standing in the departments they’re supposed to be standing in. I long-since have completely forsaken the Simi Home Depot because they’re idiots and Lowe’s has 1) poor inventory control and 2) a poor selection of irrigation supplies aimed at the West Coast homeowner so, any time I need irrigation or plumbing supplies beyond the basics, The Do-It Center is my first stop. These people are awesome and deserve more koodos. Also, I only get keys made at The Do-It Center because the key-guy is standing there waiting to help you. At the big boxes, the key guy is off in some other department.

They usually have what I need and are usually kind of willing to help me find it. I shop at Do-It Center a lot and never really leave unhappy. Obviously, they lack some of the same offerings that Home Depot or Lowe’s will give you, but the prices are surprisingly alright considering the home grown feel. The quality of some of their products aren’t the best, but they have a decent selection.

Looking for a few items for a craft project. Went to Lowes and finally found someone to help. i asked the guy if they had smaller bags of concrete. He said i don’t know. He said we are short staffed today. OK, i asked if they had wire mesh that i could buy in a smaller roll. «i don’t know«was his answer. Seriously, i don’t totally blame the kid, he probably wasn’t trained. So, this morning off to Do It Center. Found a piece of wire mesh that some one had left. The guy said no problem, let me make a tag for you. I asked about smaller concrete bags and he said sorry, no, just this size. he told me he would help me out to the car but i still cant carry 60lbs by myself. so i came up with an idea. I will buy a bucket and we can open a bag of concrete and put half in so i will be able to carry from my car to garage. Not only did they say yes, they opened it and divided it for me and took all the stuff to my car. I think i wont even bother anymore with the big box stores. Customer service goes a long way. I don’t remember the names to thank again but they were awesome and i appreciated the help for a sale that wasn’t huge but won me over as a customer. Thank you Do It Center…

It’s not going to carry the same amount of variety as the bog box stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot but the Do-It Center is a sold place to go for most of your home improvement needs. Prices are a tad higher when compared to HD but not by much so it’s worth the experience to stop here because it’s not going to be a zoo on weekends. The Do-It Center carries all the essentials for most of your home improvement needs and the employees are quite helpful when you have a question. I enjoy coming here because I know I won’t have to fight for a parking space and be elbow-to-elbow with other customers begging for help from the staff. I still do plenty of business at the big box stores because of their selection but for my everyday needs I choose this place whenever possible.
