Donald & Sam came out and gave us an estimate that was quite a bit more than the other estimates we received…$ 1700. He seemed knowledgeable & we figured«you get what you pay for»…NOTSO. He was called to diagnose a leak, which he said he found. He has a 30 day warrantee… exactly 30 days later the spa is leaking again, from the same area. We called him out again. This time he said it’s a pump and will be another $ 700 to fix. We trusted him to diagnose the problem… all the problems. I’m very unhappy with the way he handled this. If there was a question about the pump as well as the jets, he should have told us. We paid(a lot!) for him to fix the leak and it is still leaking. Go Elsewhere.

I gave Donald a call to diagnose my spa motor problems I was having after reading several very good reviews stating he was very knowledgeable and would personally come out to offer his expertise for a rather expensive fee of $ 129.00. Well instead of Donald showing up he sent a helper who didn’t appear sure of himself and actually had to call Donald to explain what he was finding. He was there maybe 15 to 20 minutes and said I would need to replace all of my equipment, which was working the day before. Not satisfied I again called Donald to explain I wasn’t comfortable with his helpers diagnosis and asked if he could personally come out to verify the previous findings. I was told it would cost me another $ 129.00 for him to come out and that he would just tell me the same thing. If I used him to replace my spa motor it would have been over $ 600.00, I found the same motor on line for about $ 300.00. So don’t believe his ad which says he will personally come out to give you knowledgeable advice and diagnosis because you wont see him, and the help he sends is questionable at best.

Rating for this above ground spa repair service does not go high enough. We tried several other services(White Swan in Oxnard was the worst) before finding Donald Baker. The differences are striking. Unlike the others, he arrived when he said he would, returned our phone calls, he gave us a straight forward, accurate cost estimate and most importantly, he was able to complete a very difficult repair job that took 3 separate visits. Mr. Baker and his staff are personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I would recommend this spa repair company to anyone in need of professional quality work. Lance & Cheryl Koeritz, Fillmore, CA.
