El Pollo Loco

I ordered a chicken avocado bowl and was so pumped, because I (used to) love El Pollo Loco. This is garbage — did they just microwave this? It looks like something from the frozen section of the grocery store.

Its with any food that is prepared and most of all done right. This location on my visit did a fantastic job, with the greeting and most of all the closing at the end of my purchase. Thank You and have a nice day. Just the basic’s and most of all the principles.
The flame boiled chicken is better for us and most of all healthier for us to eat and no added hormones added.
I ordered the chicken avocado burrito and it was nice and hot with all the great ingredients inside the burrito. Must of all it was wrapped properly. A burrito is a burrito, but no one wants to pick up a burrito and all the ingredients fall out of it after your first bite.
The employees were all in their position and ready to serve their guests. Not in a group chatting.
Its like sports, keep your employees in position and stay focus on the importance of providing customer service, they delivered on this day.
So as a customer is stay consistent on your Hospitality and cleaningness and most of all the Quality of your food and you will earn my business. Great Job.

Yep this use to be the best one in simi to go to until tonight. My wife picked us up some dinner and when I went to open it up and chow down, I opened it and discovered the most two pathetic pieces of chicken in my life. Thanks crazy chicken we will now be going to KFC from now on…

I have come to El Pollo Loco at this location several times. Every visit they meet my expectations in terms food quality and friendliness of the employees.

After you order your food and when the cashier ask for your name. There’s no point of it. They don’t call your name when the food is ready and they give your food away to the closest person at the counter. My suggestion is when you order your food just go to the counter pick up the biggest bag and just walk out. They don’t ask for your name or receipt and make sure it’s yours.

While the food was fine, typical El Pollo Loco, this location was dirty. Disgustingly dirty.
I walked in. Was pleasantly greeted by the counter staff. Placed my order. Paid. Then went to find a seat.
It was 11:05 am so this was prior to any ‘lunch rush’. There were 7 people total sitting in 3 spots. However, there was not ONE clean table. Several staff were standing around chatting. One even cleaned off a table in the corner and sat down to eat himself, but the other tables remained dirty.
I don’t know about you, but I find food scraps on tables and chairs unappetizing. The floors were dirty. Walls dirty. Flies buzzing around in the windows. The entire location needs several gallons of bleach and water and some time to clean it up.
After the staff watched several customers clean off places to sit, one of them came out with a rag to wipe down some tables. This consisted of a damp rag. No spray bottle… Just a dirty, damp rag. The «cleaning» was half-​assed. a couple of wipes, sending food crumbs and scraps flying about, eventually finding their way to the floor.
Well, there goes my appetite. I had only finished half of my food, but if they treat the customer area with such blatant disregard, I can only imagine how the kitchen and food prep area are tended to.
No thank you. I will not be back. There are numerous El Pollo Loco locations in the Simi, Moorpark area… I’ll take my chances at those.

It’s your average run of the mill fast food place. Nothing too great nothing too bad. Food is always served quickly. And is tasty.
However I have a terrible reflex to constantly shoutout «bawwwwwkkkkkk Super Chicken» every time I come here. I know it’s crazy. Crazy chicken.

This place is pretty decent. I love the way the manager (a male) runs the place. I don’t know if he’s still working there since it’s been like 6 months I haven’t been here but I used to come here often when my friend worked here and I like the way he ran the kitchen and cashiers. He always rose his voice and acted silly. He always maintained everything organized and he greeted people and they came in and left. Great guy ! Other than that, it’s pollo loco. What do we expect? Grilled chicken, yummy Mac and cheese, soft yummy mashed potatoes and delicious flan ! Oh and the salad with green dressing is delicious !! (: the workers are always with a smile and very kind !

I eat here all the time I’m always happy with the food. But seriously the manager needs to speak slowly and clearly. I’m tired of asking him to repeat himself. Just saying. Overall I like the food.

El Pollo Nastico! The chicken tastes like it went from the packaging straight to the grill without being marinaded! We use to pick up dinner once a week from here, but no one is allowed to mention the ‘P’ word any longer when dinner decisions are being kicked around.

I normally don’t give fast food restaurant reviews unless they surpass my expectations or come wayyyy below. What’s sad is that I’m new to this City and out of the many places I’ve ate this place has to be one of the better ones… hope the trend doesn’t continue. As far as what made this place special was customer service and best their food. I came with my lady and everything we had was very good and above most Pollo Locos I’ve been to in recent years. I’d give this place 5 stars if the restaurant itself was nicer and if they kept this place cleaner, MUCH cleaner.

I have to say it… I had a good meal here. Filling, tasty, healthy (at least what I had), and reasonably priced. No, it’s not the greatest food on earth, but considering the chicken is completely hormone and additive free, it’s rotisserie fired, and it had lots of flavor, it gets 4 stars from me. I had a side salad and this corn cake thing that was delish ! Salsa and guac were fresh and flavorful. This is a good, cheap and healthy alternative to other fast food places. Plus they let me choose what pieces of chicken I wanted… I wasn’t just stuck getting what they wanted me to have. I’ll be back; that’s a certainty.

It’s El Pollo Loco so the food itself is a known commodity. The reason for this low score was due to the manager, who happened to be the person to ring up my order. I ordered a 2-​piece meal with a drink and he asked if I wanted to add a churro to my order. I said no. He asked if I was sure, I said no again. He started to mention how tasty it is and I said no a third time. When he started again I finally said, «Are you going to make me say ‘no’ four times??» The girl at the cash register next to him seem to smile, by her look I imagine this is a known customer frustration.
For those in customer service, here’s a general tip for you: never make your customer say no more than twice.

I love Mexican food. That is a fact. This place is alright, but it’s not gonna blow your socks off or anything. I had a chicken tamal, it was dry but okay (needed some salsa love) and a churro (can’t mess those up). Very reasonably priced eats and fast order up too. I’d stop by again.

this was a great eat a 10 pm when i was starving. they could’ve simply said they were closed and turned me away but the guy was really nice.
we don’t have these in sf, why is that? great fast food that’s somewhat healthier than other fast food chains. check it out.
