I’m sad to see this shop go, but as of 1÷25÷16,
this store has closed its doors permanently because it simply «couldn’t keep up with online retailers.»
Shame on all of you for shopping online.

I stopped in here using Unilocal to find my closest surf shop I’m not usually in Simi Valley but I thought why not, I have to say it’s rare to find a shop owner with such decency and pure passion for the sport holding onto a legacy that began in 1976 please everybody go shop at Hal’s (owners name) if that’s not enough to get you over there he’s got one of the most adorable dog you’ll ever meet named Tessa. Count me in every time I’m near I’m going to Surfin West

Fast delivery, great help. My boyfriend was assisted by Hal. He needed to order
board-​shorts in a size that was ‘out of stock’ on the website, and we needed to have them QUICKLY! Hal was able to accommodate us on very short notice. We were able to get the shorts in the size we wanted! The shorts came, as promised, the next day. Hal followed up, personally, to make sure everything was to his liking. Great variety to choose from… my hsband bought me some great authentic ugg boots very cosy and a cute jacket, they have been there for years, just changed owners who are real sweet!

Great Service and Friendly People Here!
I took my board in to get some dings repaired. The owners could not have been more friendly and even called me to give status of the board repair. Very cool People and a nice resonably priced surf shop!

Wow. A local shop where I can actually talk to people who know about boarding. I brought my snowboard in for a tuneup and it was done well, and quickly. Surfinwest rocks!
