Excellent instructor with an in-depth knowledge and mastery of Kung Fu. Instructors are awesome at teaching young and older folks alike. I strongly recommend that anyone in the Simi Valley area or surrounding area who is interested in martial arts check out Tiger Crane Kung Fu.

When I was a kid, I did take karate for a while, but in hindsight, I wish I hadn’t stopped. Going into adulthood, however, I decided to get back into martial arts, but just wasn’t sure what to take or where to go. Well with everything else, fate brought me here, and I have not looked back since. I have been training with Sifu here for almost a year now. It’s such a great feeling looking back to where I first started, and where I am now. Unlike karate, when I signed up for this, I told myself I wasn’t going to quit like last time, and I’m glad I kept pushing through. He is a wonderful teacher both with kids and adults alike, and is very personable and approachable. It’s great that I found a school that feels like a real family where you learn and grow together, as opposed to feeling commercialized with belts and the like, found in most schools today. Above all… yes martial arts teaches self-defense which can be helpful, but the average person will often seldom have to use it. Through hard work and togetherness, we remember and embrace that martial arts also exists to teach patience, discipline, and humility, which can be applied in life every day to yourself, and those around you! Come join the family… all are welcome.

I know master sifu Kurtis through a very close friend, he’s the nicest, coolest guy, I would recommend anyone and their children to sign up for martial arts. I have studied a few forms and it really helps develop the human spirit.

This is as traditional and authentic as it gets. Sifu Fujita teaches the complete system of Hung Gar kung fu which is based on the five animals of Shaolin Kung Fu(Tiger, Crane, Snake, Leopard and Dragon) along with Chi Kung and Tai Chi classes. I’ve been training here for over 2 years now and really recommend the school. There are no extra fees for belt testing or certificates, just a flat monthly rate. You progress step by step learning each move, once you are ready you are taught the next technique. That way you gradually build up a repertoire of kung fu techniques with the martial applications. There are plenty of classes each week and the monthly price covers all kung fu classes that month, you can attend as many or as few as you want based on your schedule. Sifu Fujita is a good teacher and teaches in a traditional way focused on long term development of the student rather than charging for belts and gradings etc. There are both adult and kids classes. I’d recommend for anyone in driving distance of Simi Valley interested in martial arts to try out the school.

This is a great martial arts studio that teaches traditional Kung Fu and Chi Kung(Tai Chi) with No modern day belt system. Your progression is based on your skills and how much you are willing to put into it, rather than how much money can be collected from you by advancing you for each belt test. A belt doesn’t really show how good you are. For example: not everyone who graduates from the 12th grade has the academic ability to handle going to Harvard University. I have been involved with this martial arts school for a couple years now, and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience there with Sifu Kurtis Fujita’s instructions along with a great group of fellow students. Great for adults and kids.
