If I could give a negative star I would. I also have no complaints about the skill of their massage therapists. But it is literally the worst customer service imaginable. I went in for a massage and paid for it. They spoke to me about the membership plan and how I could pay for it with my FSA(health savings account.) I signed up. But DAYS later I was in an accident and had to have emergency surgery. I had several ribs removed and was completely out of commission for 3 months. Then of course all of my health savings went to the TENSOFTHOUSANDS of dollars for the surgery. I to this day have no feeling on my left side. They BLEWUPMYPHONEFORMONTHS. I had just been through extreme trauma, you would think a HEALTHANDWELLNESS company would have a little compassion. Not to mention I did not receive a single massage… they did not lose money on me. I explained over and over the situation and they just flatly did not care and have sent me to collections, so their lawyer calls me threatening and they have wreaked havoc on my credit. They want me to pay $ 719 for services I NEVERRECEIVED. Horrible business practice.

Terrible service. I set up an appointment for my wife and gave a credit card to pay for the appointment. My wife shows up and was not able to have her massage; so she rescheudled. On her rescheduled day they charged her a 20 dollar transfer fee, after I had already given them my cc info and was told it was a 10 dollar fee. Their app doesn’t work and don’t expect anyone in the office to help you make it work. When I first signed up they couldn’t process my cc for months because they input the wrong address into their system. The first massage I had there was great. Then thst masseuse left and I was stuck being a member there. I cannot wait for this year to expire. Go get the cheap first massage but run far far away when they try and sign you up for a year’s membership.

Went in for a facial and the therapist started to put the product on my face using 1 finger. Within 30 seconds, I told her it was burning and she asked if I wanted to stop. I said yes and she wiped off the product. I got up, went to the front desk and asked to speak with the manager. The person at the front desk said she was the manager and I quietly explained what happened. She said I had to pay for the service, again I explained that I did not receive a service and that my face was bright red and stinging from the product used. She would not let me leave until I gave her $ 20 in cash, which I did so I could go home to put cold compresses on my face.

I have no complaints about the skill of their massage therapists, but was disappointed by their customer service and procedures. The number of massages I’ve received is probably near triple digits now, but I have never gotten a massage where my therapist was wearing gloves until now. She gave a decent massage, but the whole time, I couldn’t stop thinking about how she was wearing gloves. It totally changes the feel. I didn’t want to put the girl on the spot, so I came back the next day to ask if it was standard practice for them to wear gloves during a massage(as it was my first visit to Massage Envy), and the front desk person tried to tell me that it was. Then another one said that only if somebody has a contagious skin condition, which makes sense. I don’t have any skin conditions though, and if the therapist has one, shouldn’t they notify the customer? I mentioned that, and I was told that the manager or the woman who gave me the massage will be giving me a call to discuss compensation, probably add a complimentary thirty minutes to my next massage, but I never heard from them. I don’t care if I get comped anything, but I would have appreciated it if they had followed up like they said they would.
