I LOVE BBQ but this place is a dump! Got a pulled pork sandwich and it was awful! Place is dirty and the service was awful. Will never be back there!

Very good food and good service for the price. Thankfully smoking was eliminated in the outside bar. A few bad customers unfortunately resulted in a bit of a bad reputation for the business but it’s a good family run business and a good value.

Great food for the price, cool atmosphere. Service was ok but it was very full so I am not complaining but our server gave us some nice facts about the way they cook the food so that was nice

This place is great! The prices are low and they give you a whole lot more food than what you expect for the minimal prices you pay. My favorite item on the menu is the dressed up chicken sandwich which comes with two sides. I usually get the applesauce and baked potato. For dessert they have an awesome strawberry cheese pie… I’ve never heard of a cheese pie before going to the pit but it is delicious. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Food was terrible! We were served on foam plates. We ordered an Appetizer of fried pickles. The Fried pickles had been frozen and were not freshly made. We ordered the ½ BBQ chicken. I got mine with apple sauce and pasta salad. Chicken had not BBQ taste or flavor and the applesauce had white onion pieces in it. We will never be going back.

Skip this place. It doesn’t know if it is a diner, a Greek resturant, or a BBQ place. The BBQ sucked the only smoke those ribs ever saw was from the pack of Marlboros being chain smoked on the deck. it’s really just a dive bar.

Call me crazy, but when a place is called Bar-​b-​cue Pit, I expect pit barbecue. Nope. I got a bbq combo, ribs and chicken. The ribs were steamed, not smoked, then dunked in a commercial barbecue sauce which was the only thing that gave the meat any flavor. The chicken was baked, and dunked in the same sauce.
Prices are low, but you get what you pay for.
Very sorry I went there for dinner.

I hesitate to give this place even one star, but I have no other option. After seeing the electronic sign «best ribs» I thought we would give it a try. My daughter and I stopped for lunch. Her comment while eating the chicken was «I know why the food is so cheap, it is terrible». I had the ribs, not one ounce of smoke flavor and no seasoning to speak of. Save your money, the bland oven cooked meats they pass off as BBQ is not worth it at any cost.

A Greek owned BBQ joint… why not.
Good service, Decent food, and beer selection. Found the BBQ to be mediocre, but the steak fries with blue cheese were really nice, when paired with a Victory HopDevil.

There’s a chain of BBQ restaurants called Famous Dave’s. Even though I hate chain restaurants, I’d go there before I’d pay to eat the crap at this place.
