Like the other 1 Star reviewers(even the unrecommended(?) ones)…we have to admit, this is one of the unfriendliest store encounters we’ve ever had.(and not just in Sisters, we are including ALL interactions, ever!) Our first journey to Sisters was during the Summer Quilt Show.(We live in Central Oregon now, so we’ve been a couple times since.) Of course, we were drawn into Sisters Cascade of Gifts because of the advertised, «Free Sample of the Creamiest Fudge». I mean most Fudge places advertise free samples and, of course, I always make a purchase… because…FUDGE! :) We walked into to an array of many gift items and many Sisters/Central Oregon focused… that’s a nice touch! The initial salesperson was friendly and big smiles. We made our way, fairly quickly and easily, to the random outcropping to the middle, left of the store, where the fudge counter is. We were offered a Peppermint fudge… tasted good, but we usually go for the usual fudge(choco w. walnuts, rocky road, etc.) Our young son wanted Marshmallows, so we got Rocky Road. I asked for ¼lb, but, as I saw her put the knife edge to the area, didn’t realize how big it would be. I asked what the smallest order size could be, answer was 1/8lb, so I asked to revise to 1/8lb…answer was, «Too late, I already cut this.» Okay…so I *totally* understand that, but what a rude way to address me. After the whole transaction, I asked for extra napkins, as we were given only ONE1-ply napkin and *read* we were with our young son on a hot summer’s day! We were afforded TWO more WHOLE1-ply napkins… HA! After we left, we put our name on a waiting list at a local eatery and decided to ruin our appetites with the Rocky Road fudge… YEP…it was ruined! LOL! Sure, it’s creamy… but since we opted for a fudge with no additional ‘flavoring’(as in the peppermint) we got to experience the ‘full-jist’ of the fudge… and its bland flavor… not even buttery… just bland!!! :( The interaction, feelings, and mediocre fudge we got from the place were enough to put us off… let alone the fact that the two ladies working the fudge counter NEVERSMILED at the customers! Sadly, if the fudge is such a burden, they should stop selling it! We have no reason to go back. Luckily, Sisters and its other stores are absolutely adorable… thus, a jaunt to this place is wholly unnecessary.

Initially, lady working, who appeared to be the owner, was very friendly, encouraging us to browse. However when we asked to try some of their advertised«fudge» the attitude changed quickly. She was extremely rude and continued to insist we were to buy if we wanted to try. When we did buy, she was huffy and rude re: our amount purchased. Will not be back – luckily other businesses in Sisters were so welcoming!

What a delightful store. A friend had recommended it because of the unusually creaminess of the fudge. When we arrived, we found so many other items not available in other Sisters gift shops. We also wanted souvenir t-shirts as gifts for our sisters. All we had found to that point were a great number of stamped on print. Sisters Cascade of Gifts had a smaller selection but higher quality shirts and embroidered. Not saying you shouldn’t shop the whole town of Sisters. Just be sure not to miss this one.
