Meh. I don’t understand the popularity of these two restaurants, one being Blue Water and then this hot mess. We walked in, no hostess. No available employees, dirty tables galore and a bartender who would not make eye contact. We attempted to find a place to sit for several minutes while catching up on the SU football game. Then we left and went across the street to a much more hospitable spot where we were treated nicely and stayed for drinks and food. I don’t think I will give this place another try unless I were very desperate.

Was in town for the weekend to visit family and friends. Met up with a friend for the first time in 7 years. We thought The Blue Goose would be cute to catch up. All the tables and the bar were full but there was a small table attached to a beam that had stools by it. We didn’t need a ton of room so we sat there. It was quite a while and no one greeted us or asked if we needed anything so we called over a young male waiter that never did introduce himself. We asked if we could be served or if we should get drinks at the bar. He in a not so friendly manner said they don’t serve that table but he guessed he would get us our drinks. They demeanor never got better and even when we wanted to order food he was very put out. The staff in general seemed very unwelcoming. There is one waitress that has worked at the blue water since it opened and she gave us the filthiest look when she couldn’t get passed where we were sitting. The owner Dan was working that side of the restaurant so you would think the staff would have acted better. The sushi we ordered was decent and we had a good time catching up but based on that service I wouldn’t recommend it and have already let others know of there lack of friendly service.

The Blue Goose is an extension of the restaurant next door and they share the same menu. The Blue Goose is more of a bar and they have 3TV’s that we were able to watch the Syracuse game. The tables are a nice size that can fit 2 people or 6 people. This is a great spot to grab a drink or while you are waiting for a table at the restaurant next door.
