We have been by this inn hundreds of times when we lived in Elmira NY and came north to visit relatives. Years ago we stopped in the bar after a wedding, but never took the time to eat there, and never stayed overnight in this 207 year old inn, located right across route 5 @ 20 in the heart of Skaneateles. We are back in upstate NY doing our nearly annual«Pilgrimage», only this time we’re doing the touristy visit everyone and every place you can, before you can’t. I made reservations on line, easily and without any hassle. We were given a very pleasant room, and had a grand visit with my brother and his wife, including drinks and dinner with a great view. It is somewhat expensive $$$+, and you need to keep in mind that it is a historic building, 207 years old, which has been extensively remodeled and very well kept. It is modern in the sense of improvements, unbeatable for its view and charm, and the staff was very courteous and friendly. We would love to go back. Go there at least for drinks in the bar, and or dinner. You’ll love it too.

This is a cute inn. The menu is nothing spectacular but the food was good. The raw bar was a surprise, a little over priced, but a nice surprise nonetheless. Overall I thought the inn was overpriced for the season. $ 255 for a room that faces the lake. Nothing special, very clean, and the continental breakfast is kind of lacking. The pastries are made by a baker out back, very cute place, and they were delicious. When I was checking in the«free breakfast» was offered out like it was going to be something amazing. The breakfast could of been just a little better. Plenty of off street parking and walking distance to everything in Skaneateles. Worth a stay. Enjoy.
