I haven’t bought anything from here but consigning couldn’t be easier. I had 3 almost new skirts and 1 brand new skirt which another consignment shop in Princeton turned their nose up at as too summery(back at the beginning of July) and the ladies at the Princeton Consignment Boutique took them right away. By the time I got home I had an email saying what they were going to sell them for. The price was a bit lower than I would have hoped for but I just wanted to make some money back. At the end of my consignment I called to find out if anything had sold. I was told that I still had one item left which they wouldn’t consign again due to it’s season. When I went to pick it up they had it in a bag for me all ready to go, no hunting around finding my unsold item. Check came in the mail a week later. Easy peasy. I’ll be taking other things there to sell very soon. They have their rules and seem to be pretty strict about following them but I had no problems.

I have sold clothing through Princeton Consignment a number of times. They are very picky with the items they select, which I think is a good thing. They accept labels such as Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole and Anthropologie, on up to couture. The items should not be older than two years(which means this ISN’T the place to shop if you’re looking for vintage), and it better not have any signs of wear. However, I have never purchased anything. Quite frankly, the clothes seem dated to me, which I don’t understand because they say they don’t want anything older than two years. But I saw some shoulder pads when I was in there today, as well as some very dated looking evening gowns. I didn’t closely pick through the racks because I didn’t see a single item that really caught my eye after a quick scan. My style of clothing doesn’t match what they sell, but they always take my stuff, and it always sells. Can’t complain about that!
