Nail Express

I have been going to Nails Express on and off for the past 6 years and the girls are very nice there. They do talk a lot to each other in their native language which is Vietnamese, BUT they also speak and understand English and can carry a conversation with their customers. They are usually very busy around Holidays and week nights as well as Saturday. I personally think they do a great job, sometimes they rush but over all a descent job for what they charge. I have gone to other places in Skippack, to be charged a LOT more money for the same outcome… difference is atmosphere and maybe use of more expensive lotions, etc… If you are looking to have your nails done once in a blue moon, any of the salons are good, BUT for a by-​monthly all around nail salon, Nails Express is the place. Appointments aren’t necessary BUT can be useful when they are super busy.

First off, I’m not a fan of bad reviewers… but sometimes things just need to be addressed.
I went in for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure not that long ago.
I selected an OPI color for my toes and the pedicurist immediately turned her nose up at it and said it wasn’t a nice color, then proceeded to go over to the wall and select 3 other shades of the same for me to choose from. HELLO… I picked one. Thanks for your opinion.
Then, the gel manicure began. There were about 20 colors on the wall in boxes so you choose it from the way it looks on the box, not in a bottle. I picked a color. I keep my nails short, which apparently was not pleasing to the manicurist. She kept telling me how short they were and asking me what I did to them. Um… nothing, I have DISHES to do so not everyone can have cat nails. She huffed and puffed and kept wiping around my nails to «clean them».
At the end of the manicure, I said to her that I thought that the color was uneven because the tip of the nail was darker than the base… she agreed and didn’t fix it.
The pedicure is VERY light… it doesn’t look like the cotton candy pink I chose from the bottle… it looks like one coat. The gel manicure is already coming off, chipping and getting caught and was globby all over the bottom and sides of my nails. I won’t be going back there.
