David was great, and another associate immediately greeted us and other customers who walked in. [ Long wait but thats absoultely expected at a phone store ] My fiancé and I were so frustrated with the Tmobile store on Touhy in Niles and with 611/customer care. We came to this tmobile bc the one on Touhy has the worst service…[i.e. waiting 45+ minutes to get serviced-no exaggeration– then we experienced more waiting while our service was interuppted by a 45 minute phonecall from another customer] Customer care/611 overcomplicated things and we didnt understand anything. Tmobile on touhy in Niles is within walking distance, but Im willing to drive out of the way to make this my go-to location thanks to the associate who helped us, David. David explained our bill in minutes and was extremely professional and had a cheerful and customer oriented disposition. He took his time and made us feel like we were the only customers in the store. A little goes a long away and we sincerely appreciate his patience, focus and the time he took explaining everything clearly. Thank you!!!

I should have known better. A few weeks back I stopped in because I wanted to add a line and phone for my teenager. I told the customer service rep, Brian, I’d been to the website and saw the adjusted cost(not including phone) would come to $ 100. Brian insisted that wasn’t the case; he said it would run $ 110. I politely exited, went home and ordered online. Final cost: $ 100. Fast forward to yesterday: My Samsung Galaxy S5 had been acting up for a while and I’d had enough. The screen frequently flickers or is impossible to turn«on» from black. No sequence of button pushing gets it to work. It was unreliable at best, unusable at worst. I took it to the same location(I know, I know), and again it was Brian who was behind the desk. My phone turned on without issue when I showed him. He popped the battery out and then back in, then said, «There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with it.» «Well, it’s an ongoing problem. Surely someone else has experienced this.» «Not as far as I know. And it seems to be working fine.» «But it’s been unusable.» «Just pop the battery out if it happens again.» I left without saying another word. As soon as I got back home, the problem reappeared. I went to bed angry and went to the T-Mobile on Touhy today. The rep there said he was very familiar with Samsung phones. He asked me a bunch of questions: Do you charge it overnight? Does it sometimes hesitate as you try to type? Do apps pop on and off? Yes. Yes. Yes. He said it’s a common problem, likely caused by overcharging. He went on to explain that the batteries in S5s can’t take overcharging, to say nothing of charges from non-Samsung equipment. He explained that it was essentially melting my phone from within and I definitely needed a new phone. I’m seriously glad I pay the insurance each month – I called T-Mobile’s 611 line, spoke to Kayla(who was incredibly helpful), and she quickly helped set things in motion for a new phone to be expedited to my home. That’s a great relief: I’ve been trying to turn my phone on for the past 15 minutes as I’ve been typing this. Brian/T-Mobile in Skokie: You’ve absolutely failed me on two occasions. You didn’t try or show a trace of empathy. I will not return.

This Tmobile store to us is the best one in the area, because of it’s professionals who work there especially Mihai, Doris, and I forgot the rest of the specialists who work there. When Mihai is there, we always prefer to be taken care of by him since he to us is the most knowledge gentleman there. When he doesn’t know, which is seldom, he will always find the answer to all our questions, concerns, and needs without giving false information and cause confusion. You will feel welcomed. Thank you for having them on your team! Galia
