Awesome selection of tiles! The tiles are excellent quality. Probably the best tile store I’ve ever been to. We were on our journey of picking the perfect tiles for the bathroom we’re remodeling. Out of all the places we’ve been to, The Tile Shop was my favorite! They just have so much to choose from. So many styles, so many colors, and they have bathroom & kitchen displays to help get a visual of how it will come out. Ask for Sharrie. She knows what she’s talking about! Sharrie was very helpful and even taught us how to put in the floor tile which came out beautifully. Will be back in the future!

We went to the tile shop on touhy looking for tile for an upcoming bathroom remodel. We weren’t sure what design or color we were going with. Sharrie Mueller approached us and changed all that. After asking us a few basic questions, Sharrie took over. Within an hour, we had our floor and wall tiles, grout and sealant all picked out and ordered. Sharrie is a true professional and an even better design consultant.

Over a year ago I lost my home to a fire. It has been one of the most challenging years of my life. I bought several thousand dollars of tile from a wonderful sales man. I was concerned I was purchasing more than I needed but he insisted I could return whatever I didn’t use. This was reaffirmed by another sales person when I picked up the tile. Never once was a timeframe discussed, but I was reassured multiple times.
Today I went into return the tile, which, for full disclosure, had been sitting in my garage for over four months after it was installed. The real world is when you lose your house to a fire, and you need to repurchase 2,800 items before insurance will fully reimburse you, and you are rebuilding and working a 14 hour a day job, etc, you cannot return everything immediately, especially when Tile Outlet is 40 min away. My construction was delayed several months after I bought the tile because as soon as they were ready to install the tile I had a major pipe burst from the cold. It was like another major disaster. Why do I tell you all of this.
Because Tile World is not a company that understands that real people sell to their customers) they don’t read them the fine lines of the return policy of 6 mo for tile and less for other items) and that real people with real issues buy from them.
I have always taken the high road and never written a negative review in my life but it’s not right to be told one thing when the fine detail says another. And zero willingness to address the situation outside of giving me a «customer service» number.
So good for you Tile Outlet. I left you all the product. Just walked out and left it with you. You win. You can restock and resell it. And I am left overwhelmed with life, tears wondering why you could care less or feel any accountability or compassion to a customer who has referred numerous customers to you

I am building a house and had zero experience with tiles. My builder/​developer suggested that I visit the «best in the tile business» — Faruk at the Tile Shop.
Faruk is an ultimate professional. He is incredibly knowledgable with tiles (and the process), has an outstanding design sense, knows how to delight customers, and has the patience of a saint.
I worked with Faruk to select tiles for 5 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 basement and a fireplace. He was a great partner — guiding me through every step. He even came to the new house to «test» our selections. His customer service skills are amazing — he values all his customers and takes into account their needs, budgets, and design style. He’s also a great communicator — not only giving advice but he listens a lot to understand the customer needs and what’s important to them.
My tiles look beautiful — So much so that the builder wants to use the tile selections in his future houses.

The company we are using for our bathroom fixtures recommended this location of The Tile Shop for its excellent customer service and reasonable prices. Our visit to the store lived up to this reputation. Until today, we had really struggled with finding matching tile for our bathroom. But Sharrie Mueller spent a great deal of time with us. She had a lot of great recommendations that she tailored to our taste, and she was also very patient with us. Plus she helped us plan a lot of extra little details and finishes for our bathroom remodel that we would have never thought of ourselves. We highly recommend paying The Tile Shop in Skokie a visit.

Wonderful customer service at The Tile Shop. My husband and I went in to buy tiles for our bathrooms. They have so many bathroom displays which makes it so easy to pick what you like. Faruk, who was very helpful and knowledgeable, helped us pick out tiles for two bathrooms that we absolutely love. Marcus, the store manager, helped us at check out. The tiles we loved were a bit over our budget, but Marcus worked with us and helped us get exactly what we wanted and we were able to stay within our budget. We ended up going back and bought tiles for our kitchen and basement as well! Again, we had another wonderful experience. Faruk and Marcus helped us again by picking out beautiful tiles that were within our budget. We would definitely shop at The Tile Shop again, and we highly recommend this place to anyone in search of new tiles. You won’t regret it!

Extensive selection of floor and wall tile. Mike at the Skokie location was very helpful and quite knowledgable about the variances of different kinds of tile. Tile Shop loses a star because of their prices — sky-​high for glass tile, in particular. However, service and knowlegable staff can’t be beat!

We have purchased tile from this location for 4 projects; 3 DIY and 1 by a professional contractor. They are always extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and while maybe a bit more costly than the big box stores, we don’t need to worry about stock orders. Their products are high quality. Just returned a lot of tile to a big box, because they didn’t have the bull nose pieces we needed, and didn’t know when those pieces would be available. Just had a bathroom professionally remodeled, and The Tile Shop was of more help than our contractor. The store manager, Marcus, gets a big thumbs up.

Such caring service, and they know their stuff. Greeted by Erin who showed me around at length, consulted with a colleague to answer a question, and exchanged contact information. Seemed like a newbie, but absolutely helpful. About to leave but while looking carefully at a display, I was approached by Sherrie Mueller who is an absolute genius. My little question was bigger than I knew and as we passed Erin helping someone else, I said I felt disloyal to my 1^st salesperson. They both laughed and Sherrie said, «All that matters is that the customer is happy. We’ve actually just traded customers.» She then went on to check inventory around the nation and in transit from abroad, advised me on quantities, lugged pieces from the back, and stayed half an hour after closing to finish what became a significant order. She advised me in detail about options for installation – sage advice from lots of experience as a DIY and as a tile/​stone expert. When I stopped by the next day on a minor point, she was again gracious, treating me as if I were her only customer when clearly the place was hopping. Makes me want to tile my whole house just to get such rare service.

Boy, where do I begin? Service? Excellent! Selection? Excellent! Quality? Excellent! My wife and I went to every tile store in town (from Aurora to Indiana). Once we stopped at our local The Tile Shop, we never went anywhere else. Marcus, the store manager, was outstanding! He truly went above and beyond with each returning purchase we made. No matter what our future holds, if it’s tile related, we will be seeing Marcus again!
