Was there on the final night before they closed for the season they were clearing out so it was ‘Let’s Make A Deal’ and get creative with what we’ve got left. I said I’m game and they made me an Oreo Sundae which is in the picture, couldn’t have been better! They also told me that they were opening up an ‘year round’ store in Madison in a few weeks. I’m sure it will be great but nothing beats sitting out back at the tables and watching the river. Great place, super happy folks, can’t beat it. But until springtime comes time to head for Madison.

Really great ice cream place that serves Annabelle’s brand ice cream — one of my absolutely favorites. Their sundae flavors also looked really creative and different. Located right on a main route that brought us home from rafting. I had my favorite, Cashew Caramel Cluster(seriously one of the best ice cream flavors ever!) and Mocha Mud Pie. My husband had a traditional hot fudge sundae. Other flavors I’ve had from Annabelle’s that are awesome are their Heath Bar, A Mintsummer’s Night Dream(mint chocolate ice cream with white chocolate chunks), Mint Cookie and Maple Walnut. They also had hot dogs for a quick meal.

Asked for gluten free ice cream and received the their gluten free treat in a gluten cone. Help did not consider request very carefully.

This is my favorite ice cream place, EVER, and the only thing I ever get is the chocolate milk shake. I don’t know what differentiates their chocolate milkshakes from everyone else’s, but haven’t found any that taste like the ones on the Island. Whenever I have cash on me and I’m in Skowhegan, I always stop in.
