My uncle(dad’s brother) is the chef and owner of this restaurant. I had to show some luv after all it’s family. It took him almost a year to recover his business losses after Katrina. But I’m glad his loyal customers are starting to come back Well let’s see…“chinese food” in Slidell, LA which is a growing burb 30 mins north outside of Nawlins. It’s friggin’ americanized chinese food catering to the folks here. If it wasn’t my uncle’s I’d probably wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who wants authentic chinese food. I didn’t see one asian dine here at all during my 1 week stay on vacation. But maybe it has to do with the fact that its like .05% asian here. Vietnamese food in Nawlins is the way to go if you want anything«Asian» in this metro area. So if you happen to be visiting the Big Easy and decide hey why not drive across Lake Pontchartrain on your way to the Waffle House and grab some«authentic» sweet and sour pork and egg foo young… why not go to Chinatown or at least its called Chinatown. ugh… 3 stars for the above average panda express fried rice…*sorry uncle* and try the pu pu platter and no it doesn’t taste like puup.
