Delicious food. Loved the mashed potatoes. The Caesar had a bit if a kick to it enough to change the taste very slightly but not overwhelming. Has a ribeye. Delicious all of it. The server Ryan was awesome.

The place is ridiculous. They don’t let us make reservations and the girl told me to call within the hour to make sure we get our table. When we came there she gave me an attitude and said they don’t make reservations and it’s 45mins waiting time. So we waited 15mins. She came out after to tell us it’s not 45mins any more it turned into 1hr and 20mins. Are you serious? Get your shit together. No place is worth that much of a wait. They just lost our business and the 10 people that would never come back here.

Ordered the 32 oz. Porterhouse and shared it with my wife. Delicious. Great meal. Service was not all that. I’ll be back(Arnie voice).

I’ve eaten at a lot of LongHorn locations in about 5+ states and this one could use some work. The dining room was very cold today, to the point that the hostess and several wait staff were wearing non-uniform jackets inside the dining room. I saw one male customer actually shivering on his way to the men’s room. Additionally, the steak came out way under-cooked, and then at the suggestion of the wait staff(who offered to remake and volunteered that this particular steak was so rare that it might have been meant for someone else) the same steak came out again, but way over-cooked(well done). I understand that beef is expensive, but I believe I would have received a better approximation of ‘medium’(which I get at other LongHorn locations all the time) had they simply ordered a second steak from the kitchen.

Calling this a steakhouse is a joke. It was horrible experience to eat stake here. I had great experiences visiting Longhorn in my hometown area, so I expected quality lunch here. However, every steaks were overcooked, and they were way too heavily seasoned, so it was really hard to taste the meat out of grain of salt. Plating was also horrible and unappetizing because I saw the dish full of meat oil and blood. Just cut in short, don’t eat steak in this steakhouse.

This was my first time at this place. Our waitress, Bethany was awesome! Super friendly and nice. She understood the importance of staggering our order so we weren’t bombarded with food. However, as much as I enjoyed my sirlion it was more medium than medium well aka slight pink. My mom had a flat iron steak that was the same, and she wasn’t a fan of all the pink. Her rice pilaf was slightly hard but Bethany was so sweet and exchanged her side IMMEDIATELY. The place is clean and great for groups. I was just happy that they were open on Christmas eve.

I was lucky enough to dine here for a Unilocal Elite event! The staff, especially the general manager, was amazing and very helpful. We were able to try a lot of different food. Let me start with the appetizers. Mussels — I really liked the sauce that the mussels were in. It came with some really delicious bread for dipping. The mussels themselves were not shabby either. Pretzel Sticks — I am not a huge pretzel fan, but I did have a bite. I dipped it in the cheese sauce, and I liked it! If you like pretzels, this would be a great appetizer. Corn Fritters– I am not a huge corn fritter fan either, but I tried it and I liked it! Wild West Shrimp — This was my favorite out of the four appetizers. The shrimp are spicy and come with an incredible dipping sauce. For my meal, I ordered the harvest mushroom filet. It came with either a soup or salad. The wedge salad looked awesome, but I had eaten a bleu cheese salad for lunch that day, so I decided to go with the soup. It was good, nothing fancy, but good. The harvest mushroom filet is a «chef’s special». The filet was cooked just the way I asked, medium rare. It was a good size and had good flavor. My only issue was that there was so much sauce that it took away for the eating a steak experience. I was also so full by that time that maybe I wasn’t able to fully enjoy it lol. I sure ate the whole thing though! I tried a few bites of the chocolate stampede during dessert. It was yummy and had all of that chocolate goodness that you can imagine. I looked over the actual menu and it looks like they have some really good salads and lunch specials. Although I do not live near Slidell, I work in Slidell. I will try to get back here for lunch one day!

Not a person who frequents chain restaurants but tried this based on the recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed. I had a 10oz filet(on special) and it was perfect. Sent the steak sauce back as it would have just covered the good taste. My wife is a vegetarian and very picky about how her food is prepared. She asked for two dry baked potatoes and got what she asked for(you would be surprised how many places cover their potatoes in oil or butter). Decorations are a bit cliché’ but the atmosphere is good and the staff was very cordial and attentive.

I gave this place 5 stars even though it is a chain because it really is worth the 5 stars and I’m not gonna withhold a star just because it’s not a genuine stand-alone steakhouse. So there. This place will quickly supplant Texas Roadhouse. Roadhouse is alright. This place is miles ahead. I’ve eaten here several times since they opened and I’ve sat at the bar and I’ve been seated a table. The last time I sat at a table, the service was lacking, but only because the server seemed really high(LOTS of servers are high, when are yall gonna stop that?) or something or otherwise pre-occupied, but I won’t fault the establishment just because of one scatter-brained server one time. The steaks here are superb. I like their prime rib and it is the second best prime rib I’ve ever had. Lots of chain steakhouses serve an au-jous that is little more than beef broth boiled with vegetables, but Longhorn’s au-jous tastes like good old fashioned beef broth combined with the bloody meat drippings from the griddle. Oooooh boy! Tasty. Baked potatoes are usually nice and large and their green beans are good. Well, they’re good in that they taste a little… different. Not canned or frozen green beans served in butter or something, but fresh green beans grilled and then served with some sort of pico sauce. Idk. It’s good.(Note: They no longer serve those greenbeans) But I don’t get the prime rib there anymore. I’ve found a new love. I went there one day aching for a nice prime rib and they had run out. So instead of leaving and going somewhere else or heading straight to the store to buy a nice cut of meat, I asked for the best fire-grilled steak they had and the bartender(VERY nice young lady ;)) suggested the firegrilled T-bone steak. It was one of the most delicious cuts of bovine flesh I’ve ever had. THE most delicious cut of bovine flesh I’ve ever had was at a steakhouse in Pensacola that closed down two years ago. But that’s another story. That T-bone came out sizzling hot and medium rare with some sort of lemon butter on it and every single cut of that steak was tender, juicy, red, tasty and oh my god my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. The inside décor is nice and kind of reminds you of being on some old cow-polk’s ranch or something. It’s nice. The bar area is nice and they have a decent selection of taps that pour ice cold brews. I dig it, that’s for sure and when I’m hankering for a nice thick juicy fire-grilled steak, this is where I go.

I really tried to like this place. First of all, the interior is too much for me. I know it is suppose to be cowboy-ish but it was an eye sore. Anyway, about the food; it was not that great. We had the sampler, which included stuffed mushrooms, chicken wraps, and fried shrimp. Don’t let the chicken ‘wraps’ fool you. The ‘wraps’ were really fried egg rolls. The fried shrimp was drenched with jalapeño juice. The stuffed mushroom was cheesy and delicious. We both had the ribeye, one with bone and one without(same taste). The steak tasted like it was only seasoned with salt and pepper. The corn was the ONLY hot thing that was served. Everything else was warm. Btw, the service was excellent, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

My boyfriend really likes longhorn. So, we placed a to go order: 2 steaks with a side of broccoli, a sweet potato for him and a salad for me. We got home and not only were we not given his sweet potato but, there was a clump of hair in my salad… Thank goodness I hadn’t eaten any of my food. Not to mention my steak was tiny… and burnt to a crisp! He called and explained what happened and took the food back for a full refund. The bartender Cody was very nice as usual. I’m giving them 3 stars for the way they handled it but, I won’t be eating there again.

Calling it a «steakhouse» is a joke. The steak was not good. Not at all. I mean… not. at. all. Since I’ve already started with the bad, let’s continue. Our waiter was obviously high. He was all shaky and forgetful. I am always amazed about any member of a wait staff acting this way. Are yall kidding me? I mean, really? We ordered a steak to share and it was mediocre at best and overcooked(we asked for medium. It was not medium. Unless you consider well done medium.) The only thing that was good was the side salad that I ordered(pecans, strawberries, mandarin oranges and feta cheese over romono lettuce… yummmmm) and the complimentary bread and butter. If you go, try anything but the steak.

Everything was mediocre at best. The place itself is decent and the atmosphere is fairly peaceful. The service was just okay & little slow. The food was alright, but again nothing special.

I ordered the 11oz sirloin medium cooked. Just after a couple bites my wait staff Greg had come to check on our table. Well when he asked about my steak b4 I could reply he had suggested that it was a little over cooked than medium. Although it was it was still quite tasty but he suggested that he would give me an upgraded steak at no charge. Well within minutes I had a delicious t-bone cooked to perfection. The sides were just as tasty. The place was immaculate. All this at a price you couldn’t beat. Again Greg & rest of staff went far & beyond to make our visit one of the best experiences I’ve ever had dining.

My husband and I have been here 3 times and every time has been excellent. We tried all the other chains in the same area… chedders, felipe’s, Panera bread… nothing compares to the quality and service that we’ve had at Longhorn. We’ve been seated quickly. Waitstaff has been knowledgeable, quick, and nice. Never a long wait for food and served hot. If little things like that matter to you then this is your restaurant for a nice evening or lunch.

This is Grand Opening weekend. So it was REALLY busy. But all things considered, it was fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection, the onion appetizer tasted like blooming onion without all the grease. If Jerrica is at the bar, you got to get her to make your drinks. This girl knows what she is doing. This will be a busy place in Slidell, but it will be a regular stop on our calendar. Troy & Paula

Food and service was as good as it gets at this brand new restaurant! I got the White Cheddar and Bacon Stuffed Filet and it was cooked medium to perfection. The steak melted in my mouth! Save room for dessert because it is all amazing! Can’t wait to go back!
