I really love Texas Roadhouse, I ordered the grilled salmon which was really good! The price is also great for the quality of the food. I also come for the bread which is amazing as well!

This was my first time at any of this chain, always a 2 hour late in other cities. Excellent hostess, seated immediately then followed up with their hot buns and cinnamon butter. Theresa my waitress went above and beyond. A constant smile and keen to remember our short conversations. Made me feel a good friend was waiting on me. For tequila drinks they have both Patron and 1800. Ordered the Wild Wednesday night special. 8 oz sirloin, 3 large shrimp, and two sides. I added the Kicker Rib appetizer. The asst. manager came over and gave me a complementary bowl of there home made green beans. So delicious, a little bacon and onion cooked down perfectly than added to the dish. Everything was delicious, my steak was ordered medium rare it came medium well. This happens so often at other restaurants, however; this steak tasted so good and tender. My intent was to let the cook know these steaks were over cooking a few minutes. Theresa asked about my meal she wanted to know if it was cooked correctly. I showed her it was about 2 – 3 minutes over cooked. She immediately offered to exchange it — I passed, it tasted great and I hate to waist great food. Theresa had another steak cooked and the asst manager delivered it in a to go box(no charge) apologizing. I opened the box and the cook delivered a perfectly cooked steak. Made me pause to admire the artistry. If I wasn’t stuffed I was tempted to take a bite right then. I looked around and noted almost everyone with smiles and carrying on jovial conversations. Definitely I will be returning on future trips.

It you mind waiting for a table don’t go here. That way I’ll get a table that much quicker. They are good and busy. Last time had a Ribeye steak that was cooked perfectly. The steak was great and the beer was cold. Can’t beat the Blooming Onion/Cactus/Whatever it’s good. Servers are always friendly. Love the margaritas.

The rolls with cinnamon butter were nothing better than a strict okay. AVOIDTHECACTUSBLOSSOM! Absolutely HORRIBLE! If you want an Onion Blossom go to Outback Steakhouse. The Country Fried Chicken was average at best(the best part about the dish really was my side of vegetables). Don’t plan on coming back at all any time in the near or distant future.

Texas roadhouse is a decent steakhouse. The steaks are tasty, but not superb excellent steaks. It’s good. Not great. Solid 4 stars. Sit by the bar and you’ll get quick, friendly service. Sit at a table and you’ll get the same! That’s a plus. They have big beers on tap and usually a few good brews along with what most of the peasants drink like bud and coors. Servers are quick and friendly and usually pleasant on the eyes. I like how they serve you peanuts, but I DON’T really care for all the shells all over the floor. Looks dirty. Feels dirty. The décor is nice and gives a rather rustic feel. An over all decent place to eat.

Staff was polite and jovial from the greeter to the bus boys. Waitress was very attentive and had a great personality. Everyone made us feel welcome. My steak was cooked just like I like it, the grilled chicken was moist and had a great BBQ taste. I normally avoid chains like the plague, but I gave this a shot was left satisfied. Would go back again for sure.

My husband and I always love Texas Roadhouse for their Happy Hour specials, rolls, fresh salads, and juicy steaks & shrimp. We arrived shortly after 4:00 pm on a Weekday so there wasn’t a wait time and sat down immediately. The hostess mentioned the soups of the day, happy hour specials, and offered us some of the best rolls as she introduced our server Hailey. I must say Hailey was fantastic, she was very friendly, knowledgable about the menu, and attentive to our table(e.g. made sure when didn’t run out of rolls or beverages, cleaned off dirty dishes, brought the check in a timely manner, etc.) I ordered a top shelf margarita on the rocks that was delicious and for the Happy Hour price of $ 3.00. Entrée– I ordered the grilled shrimp skewers that comes with rice and two sides, I chose the house salad with honey mustard & and a baked potato. My husband ordered a steak cooked medium plus that is in between medium and medium well, caesar salad, & a bake potato with the toppings on the side. Everything was perfect with no complaints or steak sauce needed. We will return the next time we pass through Slidell.
