Lots of stores closing. They need to update their directory! We drove 45 minutes just to find that one of the only 2 stores there I purchase clothes from had closed. The only other store was The Limited and after yesterday’s experience I won’t ever be back to that place again.(see review) Anyway, guess I’ll be driving to Metairie or Oakwood mall in Gretna. Both of which have a far better selection of stores than Northshore mall.

This mall really isn’t that great. Only thing I liked about it was the arcade room. The iPhone gadget place was terrible. Trying to sell me a car mount for 36 $ when I can get 1 on eBay for 3 $. Arab be Tryna hustle me. But the absolutely WORSTTHING about this mall is the bungee jumping pin inside the mall. It’s not the bungee pin that was the problem it was the fatass white girl who was working it. Jesus Christ she had an attitude problem. Also a terrible peoples person. My god she started arguing with her co worker and didn’t know how to put the straps on. Just a awful experience.

now I live by one of the best malls in the country so I’m always gonna have high expectations for a mall, this mall isn’t bad. I’ve been to worse… it has an express and victoria secret so I’m good. dillards is like a lower version of Macys/Bloomingdales so that’s not too bad either. I just wish Dillards had a mac like the one at lakeside. I’d be at that Mac daily if they had one in Slidell :) come on Mac! well daily when in the area visiting. they have other makeup which is good I guess. mac isn’t super expensive so I don’t see why it’s not here. I understand not having Dior or Chanel but come on some MAC? that’s just always annoyed me the 10 years my mom has lived down here… rant over lol.

When I was growing up this mall was brand new. They had everything. I remember going before Maison Blanche was built, and now that’s the second Dillard’s. They still have the tried and true Sears and JCPenney, and have expanded the food court. I do kind of miss the tiled picture they used to have though. Jolly Time arcade is called something else now, but there’s still the pizza place and now they have Subway and Smoothie King(RIP Hardee’s). The stores just don’t really have the same vibe they used to. There’s no Gap anymore. There’s no KayBee Toys. Maybe this review is more about the last 20 years of the mall, sorry. Anyway, this mall is nice for what it has, but it’s fallen victim to online shopping and the boutique type shopping centers. it still has staple shops like a book store and Hallmark, but remember places like Babbage’s? It may not have everything you’re looking for, but it’ll have most, which I guess sums up this place and why I gave it 3 stars.

The mall in Slidell is pretty modest. It’s nice to have some where to go and shop in Slidell. They can definitely use more stores. When I want a bigger selection I usually take the drive to Lakeside Mall.

This mall is better than it was a few years ago, actually. It used to be pretty lame as lots of the stores were closed down and nothing replaced them. That’s no longer the case. There’s a Dillard’s(womens and mens), JCP and a Sears. The food choices have gotten better, too with a Subway and a Smoothie King. I also really like the pretzel place Auntie Ann’s. As for specialty stores, well, there are many to choose from. The Children’s Place. Books A Million. The Icing. Stride Right. Forever 21. The Limited. Aeropostale. Payless. Victoria’s Secret. It’s not my favorite mall in the area but it’s close and it’ll do in a pinch.

This mall never has anything. I wouldn’t even consider it a mall. Besides having Victoria secret and express I wouldn’t even consider this place a mall. I know it’s slidell but we need more variety of stores!

. I’m a New Orleans East girl, so sometimes I don’t want to go in the city or to Metairie, so I make my way to Slidell; which is actually closer to me. This is a smaller mall but does definitely fulfill my needs with such department stores as JC Penny and Dillard’s. There is also a Burlington. The mall also has numerous smaller stores, probably geared more toward youth. There is also a Forever 21. For some quick finds this is a decent enough location. I wouldn’t recommend for something for special events personally. Casual clothing it’s pretty decent location. This location also has an arcade and a nail salon, which is A-OKAY in my book. The food court kind of sucks though. There are only a couple open locations and not the best. Probably the most decent in there are the places for snacks and Subway. Although, surrounding the mall are a few nice casual restaurants. As a parking snob, I must say never a parking issue. I always tend to get parking right in the front. Note: I normally go on Sundays so the experience is normally easy breezy for me.

Until I moved to Slidell nearly a decade ago, I rarely came to this mall. Back then, there seemed to be more business options. Now, it’s akin to the Clearview Mall back in the 80’s. Not much to see, but there’s just enough interest to shop.

Northshore Square is an old school mall. I haven’t been to an inside mall in some time. It seems like most newer malls have embraced the strip mall format, but this is a real mall. My last trip was a Saturday and it was dead. there were hardly any people walking around and most shop keepers seemed bored out of their minds. This could have been due to the rain since I would think Saturday would be the busiest day. We went to a few shops and the workers were very friendly. The mall itself was clean and there were numerous benches and a nice fountain in the intersection areas. If you’re looking for a real mall, this is the only one in the area.
