Not one to want to walk an entire grocery story but this one was worth the time. Anything and everything that you need im sure you could find EXCEPT tuna salad already made, thus the four stars. But it was a very nice place to shop compared to the regular KROGER’S ANDPUBLIX in which they have them by far. so if you see one stop in you will not be disappointed… don’t forget to stop bye where they ground fresh coffee and ground you some fresh peanut butter NOW that had to be the highlight

They have a cooking show once a month in slidell that is the best. I been going for about two years and the Chief Nino is one funny person, Oh the food is also good and he likes to cook different things and will tell you how to cook Heart Healthy and what is new in the store… Did I mention that it is one funny show, Info is on the Web site,

This used to be one of my spots when I lived in the boot, but I was not impressed with the king cake selection and taste this past Mardi Gras… disappointing.

I mainly come for their soups, salads, and fruit bar where you can make yourself. Their soups change about everyday which is great! Surprisingly their fruits and salads don’t wilt which is always great. Oh, and their sushi are always fantastic! Rouses is such a great store all in all. Other than that some of the workers seem almost just rude and a bit racist. For instance, door greeters are suppose to greet their customers, so I thought. I was not greeted, yet the couple behind me were greeted. Cool! Then she rolled her eyes when I walked by! What have I done?!? Haha! Good thing I don’t care much for door greeters. Not only this, but also the person at the register. Totally did not say one single word to me, but to the gentleman in front of me and also the family behind me. Wow, I’m an American too folks. It’s all good though, Rouses will still be my pick for fresh produce when I am in the area.

I love Rouse’s so much and have reviewed them already… However this is a different Rouse’s in my city and I check in here so I thought I could touch on some things I hadn’t before. You should know that this location is in an old Albertsons. I don’t love the layout, but you know, it is what it is. Rouses does lots of stuff right. They’re local. They support local farmers, fisherman and companies. I love them for that. They have a sushi counter and their sushi is pretty damn good. You have the option of white or brown rice which is great, since we all known brown rice is better for you anyway. Their cakes are really, really delicious. I order all of my cakes from them. Their doberge cake is out of this world. The produce department is amazing. Always fresh and juicy. You’re not going to find any bruised apples here. Rouse’s rocks! Did I mention that I love them?

I really like this store. It’s a little pricey but the fruits and vegetables always look great. I love the suishi which is unbelievable, buy it’s made fresh daily. They have a great deli selection. They also have some unusual things that you would not find in other stores. Recommendation-try the creole tomatoe dressing in the cold section it is delicious. They usually run out fast.

Check the expiration dates, because they DON’T! I had put«fresh» cheeses, «fresh» packaged, chopped fruits & more back all the time because they were out dated. I bought some fresh mozzarella cheese, dated for 2 weeks later. Got it home & opened it 2 days later… it reeked. I bought Starbucks instant coffee on Nov 2. Got it home and THEN looked at the date. Silly me because it was dated Oct 14th! My boyfriend & I bought«fresh» tuna steaks & grilled it with pears. We both got sick that night… I guarantee it wasn’t the pears. NEVERGOINGBACK.

Rouses is my favorite of Grocery stores. They have tons of local products, have the freshest produce, and always seems to have the nicest people working there. There isn’t a Rouses in St Bernard so i either end up going to the one on Tchoupatoulous or the one in Slidell, both are worth the drive from Arabi. This store in slidell is my favorite, They have a covered section for when its raining, which i don’t understand why other stores do the same. The layout reminds me of Whole Food and even has many products whole food sells. I found a Fresh Peanut butter machine and i thought that was the coolest thing and now i am hooked. I try there in store made products like boudin, or stuff peppers, or seasoned meats, or cooked foods all are awesome. Going to this store is the only time i don’t mind shopping with my wife. All the people that work there are extremely nice and helpful. Everyone that passed me asked me how i was and anything they could do to help me.

This is the best grocery store in Slidell. They have everything. You want marscapone cheese, they have it. You want PBR, they have it. They have a big wine selection that’s easy to peruse and a good sized liquor aisle. The produce is top notch and they have great sushi. The staff is always really nice, and the lines aren’t too bad. The other Rouse’s across town is an old Sav-A-Center so the setup is not as good. This location is the real deal.

This the best supermarket in the Slidell area. The place is huge, along with its selection of items. The employees are always friendly and helpful. Want to shop local and you live nearby? Use them.

Great local grocer; you won’t find better anywhere around here. Moreover, the fancy built-in deli/restaurant prepares some of my favorite sandwiches. My recommendation is the shrimp po-boy, lightly battered and fried right when you order.
