Not sure about the other food on menu. Raw oyster and shrimp were not bad, especially during winter at a small town. :-)

Not impressed, none of the staff knew any thing about beers management or bartender. The oysters appeared to have been sent back and then gave to us we sent them back. The poboy not impressed. The beer are under carbonated flat I had two different one and watched pour for others flat too. Service slow and uninformed on menu. Its not very busy.

Food is mediocre. Bartenders are nice. Servers are slow. Live bands. Some are ok, some not. There’s better live music in Slidell for sure. Not somewhere I would go unless my group was going. Would rather spend my money somewhere else.

Went there for a late lunch. People were nice but the distractions took away from it all. Dark dark lighting. You couldn’t see the details of the food. There was a decent selection of food on the menu, but prices were higher than normal to high. So… not a great value. Had the buffet, due to the best value. :/The food was warm, some tasty stuff, but not crazy good or exciting. The buffet selection was weak too. Recommend dining someplace else. Again, the only positive was nice polite waitress.

Yum! Our server was Josette and she was very nice. Let my mom sample different things before she ordered. Ordered the seafood nachos which were delicious, had to ask for extra chips which they brought out more than enough. Hamburger was on a sweet bun which I thought was super yummy. The catfish poboy came with a ton of fish for the price and was also very good. The seafood bisque was amazing as well. Came here with a group of ten people, and they accommodated us well. Our only complaint was that the restaurant was too cold for the seventy degree day that it was. All the ladies of the group had our men go out to the car to fetch our sweaters. Overall, great dining experience! Very surprised by the three star rating.

I am not sure why this place has only 3 stars. I would have given 5 but the place was freezing cold. We had a group of 10 and our server, Jossette, was great. Never had to ask for refills, she just came and took our glasses to refill. She was very friendly. The seafood nachos, seafood bisque, catfish po-boy and hamburgers were delish. I recommend them!

We had heard good things about Speckled Ts. However we were not very impressed. The atmosphere is more bar than resturants. The service was fine. The prices are pretty high($ 18 — $ 25) and the food was more bar quality then mid range resturant. They have some creative dishes, mostly with a southern vibe(lots of fried food). The presentation was lacking any kind of effort. The dishes had some flavor but several flavors was not well balanced. As an example the sautéed mushrooms were obviously cooked(maybe boiled) in a white wine, but we’re undercooked and so the wine flavor was the dominate flavor. The ribs and tuna both were marginally good. The salads are ice burg lettuce. They have a good variety of beer. Two people is about $ 55 — 60 including tip.

I’ve just recently started ordering lunches for delivery from Speckled T’s. The price & quality cannot be beat. The food is hot & delivered at the time requested. It can be difficult to leave the office to grab lunch during a busy day, & really appreciate a local restaurant that makes the effort to accomodate their customers. Kudos to the owners for adding this new delivery service.

MENULIES. The wing special on the menu is not accurate. It infuriates me when restaurant owners set the service staff up for failure by being too cheap to update price changes on their menus. Almanda at the bar is an exceptional employee and deserves to be working someplace where her boss supports her by posting accurate information on the menu regarding pricing. Such a shame.

Very busy Friday nights. Make reservation a day or two in advance. Food is decent. Had tuna, was not asked how I liked it cooked. It was medium well and pretty dry inside. Good tuna should be medium well as best. Very friendly crowd at the bar though. Have had good bands both times.

I’m so full. There were some good things about this place and some that were kinda meh. Our server was great! And the manager(I think; he didn’t seem like a host) who sat us was friendly too. There was also a hilarious older server who was yelling at the regulars and you could tell they loved it. Anyway they have a $ 10 buffet which the majority of the lunch crowd opts for. It was an interesting array. Fried chicken and mac n cheese, gumbo, enchiladas, salad, dessert of some sort and a couple other assorted items. I scanned it and opted for the menu. I had my heart set on fried seafood. We got the portion for two to share round the table along with the pontchartrain trout. The trout was yum. The fried oysters and shrimp were also delicious. The fries were meh and the stuffed crabs I did not like. I also tried the crab, corn, and shrimp bisque and was underwhelmed. The primary flavor was corn… there was too much of it and it overtook the seafood. The shrimp were super tiny too. If I lived in Slidell I would come here again and get the buffet or some drinks. They have a large bar and a nice beer selection.

We had lunch today and it’s was around 2pm so no one was there. We ordered the seafood nachos which were smothered in cheese, shrimp and crab. They were amazing!!! I ordered the wedge salad and requested broiled shrimp on top. The homemade blue cheese dressing was delicious and I could only eat half of the serving. My husband had a catfish poboy and a side of Mac n cheese. My husband can eat and he couldn’t finish the sandwich! The mac cheese was creamy but lacked a bite. Our waiter was Bobby. You can’t find a nicer, polite or attentive waiter. Every restaurant needs a Bobby and he should be a trainer for all wait staff in America! We highly recommend this place and would go back to hear all the bands they have at night.

This place is a regular hangout for me, so my review will most likely be biased, but I will give it a fair assessment anyway. I love this place. Not just because of their beer club, either(for a fee per year, you get 50% off all draft beer for one calendar year, and THAT is an investment, Mr. Rockerfeller). And not because of the good live bands they have on the weekends. I always sit at the bar, which assures fast, friendly service, not to say that being seated elsewhere won’t, it’s just that the bar if faster. ;) The beer is always cold, but I fear that sometimes, it’s a little too cold and freezes up or something, because sometimes, when you order a beer, it’s flat or doesn’t taste right, but… I’ll just order something else instead and everything is just right. This is my only compliant, but it is strong enough to subtract an entire star. They really need to do something about their taps. The food here is excellent. I’ve had just about everything on the menu, too. Their chicken and sausage gumbo is great. Their turtle soup is RIGHT on the money. Their muff is nice and meaty and plenty of olive salad AND they even use kalamata olives in that salad, which is nice. Their fried fish plate is really good as well. They make wraps just about any way you like it and they’re not stingy on them. You can get fries or chips and if you go with chips, know that they’re cut and fried in the store and they are damn good. You might not believe me, but when I say they have some of the best veal parmasan(sp?) I’ve ever had, I mean it. And on Tuesdays,…(sometimes during the week, sometimes not), they serve pteradactyl wings. Or turkey wings. Or like… chicken wings from Hercules’ farm. What I mean to say is that they serve wings that are usually HUGE. And damn good, too. During crawfish season, they’ve got the best boiled crawfish I’ve had in a restaurant. And for a fair price on certain days, you can get them all you can eat. In fact, before Specks, I never really even ATE crawfish in a store before, but since then I’ve tried others just for the hell of it, but aside from my own and my Old Man’s their bugs are best in Slidell. Their appetizers are good, too. Loaded cheese fries(and they MEAN loaded), calamari, mozzarella sticks, all that is good. Their hamburger steak is good too. Also… it’s a good hang out. Try it. You’ll like it. ={D

Wife and I were on the road from NOLA to Destin and used Google Maps to find somewhere to eat. Thanks to not checking Unilocal, this is where we ended up. We walked in and the first things we noticed is that the dining room was uncomfortably hot and that there were two tables FULL of dirty plates, food, etc. No big deal, maybe the folks sitting there just left. We ordered a dozen raw oysters to share. My wife added a wedge salad and I went with a bowl of seafood gumbo. I didn’t look at my clock but we waited quite a while for the oysters. They came out but we had no silverware. Then came the salad and still no silverware, mentioning my gumbo is up and ready. Silverware comes and no gumbo. Gumbo comes and, shockingly, it’s just above room temp. The wedge salad was basically a half head of lettuce with a few vegetables thrown in for good measure. I didn’t even feel any of it was worth complaining about, knowing nothing would be done, we just wanted to eat and leave. Awful meal… not surprisingly, the tables that were dirty when we came in had still not been bussed when we left probably an hour later. Get new management and perhaps this place would be worth revisiting. All flaws were a matter of personnel.

I visited this place on a Wednesday because I read about it on the Internet. The calendar of events and specials that are listed on their website, does not exist when you go into this establishment. I asked the waitress about the drink specials and she called the manager. When the manager came out to talk with me he asked me if I believed everything that’s on the Internet. I’ll never return to this place again. It was April 29th It was definitely a Wednesday because I read the line up for that day when a friend and I visited. So just know you wont get what’s advertised.

This place is a great find in Slidell. Well stocked bar, delicious food and a great vibe. The service was great and the portions were HUGE! We had the bow tie seafood nachos and charbroiled oysters to start. Those 2 apps were more than enough for 6 people. I had the shrimp poboy which had a very light breading, traditional bread and was dressed perfectly. My husband had the eggplant stack that was layered high with crabmeat and shrimp in between each layer and topped off with a seafood gumbo and rice. Everybody else’s food at the table looked just as good as ours. My only complaint was that everything was overly salted(but then again, that is typical in NoLa) and very rich. We all needed to-go boxes. All in all, a great find.

We live very close and used to go there regularly. We decided to go on a Sunday night. Not crowded at all. Our appetizers were slow coming out. The were out of all trout(their main specialty), We ordered salads. After about a 30 minute wait for our salads they came. I poured my dressing on. Wrong dressing. So was my girlfriend’s. 45 minutes for appetizers, tea and water. I refused my salad as I had already poured ranch on it rather than what I had ordered(blue cheese). This place used to be good, but now the kitchen and service sucks. ETA: It was brutally cold(we were in sweaters and snow ski stuff). We asked to be moved or have the heat turned up. They did neither.

Only came here because the guys at the swamp tour suggested this was a decent place to eat… Umm only if you love salty food and want to get an upset stomach after! I had the crab, corn soup and the first few bites wasn’t bad… But it was sooo salty I couldn’t finish it. Our friend had the buffet and he had an upset stomach about a half hour later… My husband was smart and didn’t eat Because he was still full from breakfast… Go some where else…
