Zydeco’s

Zydeco’s has closed, I drive by the place each and every morning and its been like that for the past couple of months. From what I’ve experienced, the seafood is relatively good, but the prices are expensive for your average buffet. Around fifteen to twenty dollars per person to be more specific. The closure was most likely due to the location (behind a McDonalds, Chik-​Fil A, and nearby numerous other fast food restaurants which are much cheaper), and the price range.

Lunch wasn’t as expected. They advertised lunch buffet and was told they didn’t have it yet. Still no wheelchair ramp. The air conditioning was extremely cold, and even though we were told it was turned down, it was still cold. Needed a jacket. The food was great, service quick

Stopped by for lunch, had a hot sausage poboy, hunny bunny had the roast beef poboy. Both were really good and reasonably priced. Stop by and enjoy.

I was charged for a slice of lemon for my water!!!
I hope you find that a appalling as I do. I asked for lemon for my ice water and when we got our bill I noticed an $.25 cent up charge for the lemon.
The food was okay. Nothing special. I am always hopeful for new successful restaurants in Slidell. Zydeco’s is the newest restaurant at this location that has seen several failures.
Although the food quality is the #1 component of a successful restaurants it is not the only one. This owner seems to be oblivious to other factors like; service, ambiance and the overall experience. If a restaurant is charging a customer for lemon it is obvious that they have little understanding of their customer or how to treat them. I have no plans to return anytime soon. I hope that $.25 up charge helps them stay open a few days longer.

4 of us ate at Zydecos last night. Food was wonderful. We all are off the menu (I think the buffet is a little high for Slidell). 2 appetizers were cooked perfect and well seasoned. Our entrees came out at the perfect time. Seafood platter. Catfish platter, bourbon street salmon and a grilled ribeye. All the food was generous portions and cooked well. Everything was good but the steak could have used a little more seasoning, although it was good too. (only reason for the 4 star). Amanda was our server in the bar area, very pleasant and polite, and tended to our needs. We will be back to try some different foods

We celebrated two birthdays and had a party of 15! Hannah our waitress did great! We had orders for everything from a kid’s burger to the buffet. They even handled a special request with no problem. Everyone’s food came out together and no one had a any issues with any of it. CHEERS to the kitchen staff! The bread pudding is a must!
Keep up the good work. Slidell’s been needing a place like this for quiet a while!

We loved it! Expect it all, a complete seafood buffet from delish sofshell crabs to raw oysters or a la carte dinning, the bread pudding IS A MUST TRY. I can be a bit on the picky side, i Specially loved how accomodating eveyone was… from asking questions to even sampling the «house signature cajun sauce», i must add its esplendid. Very pleasant ambiance cajun music friendly, relaxing atmosphere, I recommend it ;)

This restaurant was great! I would recommend to any seafood lover. Their buffet is reasonably priced and is filled with different types of seafood (including oysters). Our waiter Hannah was very friendly especially to our kids and she was patient with me while i decided what to order (I took forever to decide). Their BBQ shrimp and bread is out of this world. Their gumbo is wonderful. The manager took the time to see how we were doing. If you are in Slidell LA (they have two other places), you should try them out and ask for Hannah!
