Awesome food. They are expensive, but that’s to be expected at a fine dining establishment. Their biscuits are out of this world! I highly recommend ordering extras!

Definitely one of the go to spots in Slidell. Been coming to this restaurant off and on for many years — even before they reinvented themselves as a steakhouse. We went to lunch with friends recently and I must say the food is still good. I had the crawfish étouffée and a bowl of seafood gumbo. Service was efficient but not outstanding — but it’s Mardi Gras season so guess I can cut them some slack. Definitely will stop in again next time I’m back on the North Shore.

With a rewards program and traditional Creole menu, I really enjoy this location. The staff are nice, and the happy hour is very affordable. I definitely recommend signing up for thew rewards program because it pays for itself, literally.

Visiting from California, stopped at this place for lunch on a Sunday. We sat at the bar, not busy and the service was great. The food was also great, my favorite was the crab and corn bisque. Delicious!

Copeland’s in Slidell is ALWAYS amazing. From the crawfish bread appetizer(you’ll thank me later) to the filet mignon, blackened fish or sweet potato mash, I have always had delicious food at this restaurant. I’ve been a repeat customer for years. Friendly waitstaff, huge selection of freshly-made desserts. My only complaint is that they aren’t closer to my home, so I could eat there more often! I drive almost an hour for this exquisite food. It’s worth it. It’s where I choose to eat for my birthday.

I have only had take out & catering. I really enjoyed everything that the supplied. However 3 types of bowtie pasta on one catering order is A BITMUCH. Though I am sure the blame lies with my management that believes more carbs the better. I have heard great stuff about their happy hour, I just have yet to make it by!

This place is a little expensive, but completely worth it in my book. It’s New Orleans seafood and pasta done right. And with cheesecake at the end! :-) I recommend the crab claws appetizer, but watch out! They frequently run out of them by about 8pm since they are so popular. I like pretty much everything on the menu, but I think my favorite are the Crabcakes and Shrimp Alfredo. And it’s a huge portion, so I always end up with leftovers. This is a very nice sit down restaurant and although Slidell may be pretty casual, I wouldn’t waltz in here with my rattiest jeans and rock band T-shirt on. Great place to have a couple drinks at the bar with friends, take a date, or just pick up cheesecake to gorge yourself on back home where no one can see you in your«fat pants».

We lived in Italy for 3 years and this was some of the best pasta I’ve ever had! My family of 5 loved it and I’m glad we stopped in for lunch. Competitive prices and amazing food! Great service from Corey today and really nice atmosphere in the restraunt.

This food is pretty bland to me. I’ve had several things on the menu and nothing has wowed me. The homemade ranch dressing is pretty good and the broccoli balls are pretty good. Everything else is pretty blah. Atmosphere is okay but service is usually pretty good.

So disappointing. We got seated right away which was nice since we called ahead. We ordered the Crab Begneit as an appetizer which turned out to be a breaded crab ball. Not light and airy and not a lot of crab. For dinner we had crawfish étuffe which was average and I had the shrimp creole which was good. The service was really lacking. There were plenty of servers but they didn’t seem to know what to do. We had to ask for water and when our app came we had to ask for silverware. Hubby ordered a cranberry and vodka with lime and he had to go to the bar to get his own lime. You can get better service at Waffle House! For dessert I ordered the much talked about banana foster to be told they were out of bananas. Sigh. I suggest eating elsewhere in Slidell.

Had heard a lot of good things about Copelands, but was severely underwhelmed upon visiting for the first time. Meat was over-cooked, red beans and rice were too salty. Server was inattentive and Katy Perry and Niki Minaj music playing on the speakers was weirdly incongruent with the setting. I want to schedule a trip back because I’ve heard so many good things, but I’ve also heard from many Slidell residents that this Copelands location is not the one to go to.

Restaurant is very nice & a little on the upscale side but not too fancy. Definitely one of the nicest in Slidell though. Service is really good(though my party had to wait 30 minutes even with a reservation). The food is also good with great presentation. I recommend trying the veal dinner

THIS Copeland’s is pretty good. This store is usually pretty clean and friendly. My family and I often come here for lunch and we get quick and friendly service. The absolute BEST dish at Copeland’s is the Shrimp Ducky and it’s all I ever get. I like their étouffée, but I like the shrimp ducky better. It’s tasty with a nice full and rich flavor. Their stuffed mushrooms are also very good. Not the BEST I’ve ever had, but pretty darn good.

Really nice atmosphere. Friendly, efficient service. Nice variety of food. I wish they would rotate the menu more often. Having been there several times, I am looking for more variety. Portion size is great. We brought friends that were visiting from Texas and looking for authentic Cajun food. Copeland’s delivered a very nice meal for all of us. The only suggestion I would have is to increase the variety of beers available. While I like Abita Amber, I also like darker beers and some variety. There are a LOT of great local varieties from Abita, Andygator, Macchiato and other NOLA Irish Channel Stout just to mention a few. Some of the darker beers pair better with sea food than their lighter cousins.

I’m only NOT giving 5 stars because my server never gave me his name. Other than that, we received great service and drinks at the bar. Our appetizers and our meal were impeccable. The individual taste of everything was delicious. We will return.

We were seated quickly but the wait time for actually receiving our food was ridiculous. Overall, everything tasted good… especially the white chocolate strawberry cheesecake.

We tried the Slidell place when our favorite, «The Palmetto» was closed for a private reception. Copeland’s was full to overflowing at 4:00PM on Saturday, waiting areas full, too. We decided to eat in the bar, which is very nice. Ambient noise was very loud, difficult to converse with waitress. I had fried shrimp platter; onion strings were good, but the shrimp had a strange texture and taste. Wife ordered a couple items, was served the wrong thing. Hers was not very good, either. She got wrong beverage, too. I guess we’ll keep trying Copeland’s every decade or so, to see if there is nay improvement. There are better restaurants in every direction. Rick

this seems to be the nicest place to eat in the area… personally I liked another place better in the area… it wasn’t bad though and I did love my drink here. an extra star just for the drink! or maybe I just didn’t order right? my shrimp were delicious but they know their shrimp down here…

Service here is great even when there is a crowd. This was probably my 30th visit here. Well prepared NOLA dishes with good steaks too. They offer a Prime top sirloin, thick cut that comes from the kitchen in sizzling butter This time I had the ½ pound hickory bbq burger. It comes with coursely chopped onions, a slab of cheddar and a not too sweet bbq sauce. Burgers cooked to order. I got mine medium rare. .ha…just because I can here. I tried my wife’s chicken fettuccine. .not bad but I am not a fan of it anyway. I was mostly interested in the pounded chicken breast. fried crisp and golden. It is offered blackened also. Well stocked bar and great desserts. If you like cheesecske this IS the place to go. Al certainly made sure his namesake restaurant would keep up it’s reputation of quality food and service.
