Great place to get ice cream and their food is the best around. They also custom make ice cream cakes! We need to support places like this.

Woohoo! My personal favourite soft serve and my daughter’s favourite homemade hard ice cream. We are regulars and would eat it in the dead of winter if it were open. If you’re passing, you must stop for a taste!(Oh, and they have a chippy counter too)

I remember going there in 2011 and they refused to give me a cup of water with my order… I want to support a place like this, but I’m not going to pay money for a cup of water. I hope their water policy has changed.

We have been visiting Tastee Treat for several years through multiple owner changes and we are really liking what the current owners are doing. They built a covered pavilion a couple of years ago so you can be out of the sun or rain. My favorite thing though is the homemade hard ice cream, they converted me from soft serve. The flavors are rich and full and I like that they aren’t overly sweet, you get the flavor rather than just the taste of sugar. There are some unique flavors, Ginger and Chipolte(not in the same ice cream). It is such a treat to go there, we live very close and I have to limit myself or I would be there every day.

I think this place is just not for me, but my wife thought it was great. A friend raves about the place, it’s around the corner from her home. I was in the area, decided to try it. They have this big sign with the 24 flavors of soft serve they have. I immediately wanted to drive away, I could not imagine how they managed to store 24 different soft serve machines. I stayed in the car and let my wife decide what flavor I should have(I know I am notoriously difficult if something isn’t exactly the way I want it. I have driven around looking for over two hours deciding on places to have lunch, only to get fed up and go home to eat left overs instead.) Selecting the size of the ice cream was remarkably easy, there is only one size. It became apparent that this was not 24 individual flavors, but some sort of flavoring injection process to whatever base flavoring. It is essentially a Snoopy Sno-Cone machine for squeeze ice cream. The size if the same because all of the ice cream has to be the same size so it clears the machine for the next customer. This resulted in ice cream that was too soft and drippy. Oddly, the ice cream is actually colder than you would expect even though it is extra squishy. This is probably related to the flavors being blended with the base, just adding more air to an already soft ice cream. On the other hand, the wife liked the place. Seeing gluten free cones(only the second place we’ve seen with that in the area) brought an immediate smile to her face. Then she saw some brand of ice cream called Only8, so named because there are only eight calories per ounce. A small serving of that was four ounces, so DeAnna was excited to have a treat for only 32 calories. I did see that they have hand made ice cream. I agreed to visit again sometime and try something they are making themselves as opposed to pre-packaged flavorings.

A place like this, it’s all about the service. When there is a long line at the ice cream only window and no line at the food window, the food window clerk needs to take some ice cream orders instead of smiling at the line through the window.

I was once a fan of going here because it is close to where I live, but that has changed drastically in recent months. It’s new management has created an abrasive atmosphere for a fun summertime treat. Both the regular owner/manager and a woman working there were extremely rude to me when their ATM was out of order. The man that was working was then rude to a friend of mine who ordered some of their fried food because she was checking to see how much longer it would take for her order to be ready. I’ll take the drive to Kurver Kreme before ever going there again.

Been coming here with my father ever since I was a little kid. Back then we came mainly for the playground, which has either become intensely dilapidated since I was eight, or has always been that way, but an average kid doesn’t take this into account. Now going to Tastee Treat is a remedy for late night ice cream craves during the summer, where one can feast upon homemade hard flavors of all kinds, my favorite being the Blueberry Kreme Pie. The management is always friendly, and there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy the desserts during a hot afternoon or a balmy summer night.

I’ve been devotedly coming here ever since I was a little kid. The place is pretty much the same except for the new play area for kids off to the side. I love their soft-serv and their little sundaes. They also have hot carmel topping which some places don’t have and is always my favorite. Tastee Treat has always a good place to stop and carries a lot of nostalgia for me since I’ve been coming here since I was super tiny.

One of these days, I’ll start eating ice cream again. Until then, I will continue to bring my son on playdates. This one brought me here. Not because the ice cream is better than any of the other seasonal stands in the area. But rather, because the playground is further away from the road. And the playground was a big hit. But I was not able to resist having a few bites of the kiddo’s strawberry cone. Apparently the hard ice-cream is homemade. The color was remarkably bright and unnatural. But at the same time, it had lots of little strawberry flecks and seeds. Overall, it was fine, if maybe a little icy. Plus they have soft-serve, and what I believe would be the standard menu slate of burgers, fries, fish-fry, etc.
