I’ve been playing at this field on and off for over a decade. I guess you can say I did a lot of growing up on this field and the staff here are at the least close friends, perhaps more accurately a step under family. Honestly. An excellent field with caring ownership and staff. They are VERY accommodating to new players and the staff is friendly(will help you figure out any equipment issues. There is new ownership so we’ll see how things change, but I would only think it would be for the better!

Iv been coming here since 2003, it really truly is a great paintball park. I would highly recommend coming here if your a beginner or armature. I really like the big events they put on a few times a year, really fun!

So for my buddies birthday he wanted to get a small group together and go paint ballin. Nothing like acting like you are a killer/hunter to bring joy to your life. I honestly hadnt been paintballin in years and never on a course in the hills with thick trees. We drove up around 9:30, rented all the gear and got started around 10am. I was able to rent a gun, mask, belt for extra paintballs and a big bag of paintballs for $ 40. The first two games we got our royal ass kicked. Like the game was over in 5 – 10 minutes. I even got shot right between the eyes, didnt even know the guy was there. But as the games went along we found our groove and started to dominate. I never died the last 8 games and my buddies and I were working together as a finely tuned machine. Dont get me wrong, I did get hit a couple times in the arm(left a nice bruise), but the paintball didnt explode so I was able to continue. I enjoyed the different courses they had. Also enjoyed how some of the courses were out in the open and some were through the thick trees. After every two rounds you can walk to your truck and grab some water/snack. We didnt get done until a little after 4. So for $ 40 you get to play all day and rent equipment. That is a pretty good price for all day fun. I also recommend wearing camo of some sort because you can really blend in and either sneak up on people or have them walk right to you because they dont see you. Anyway, it was a kick ass time and we are already wanting to come back again. P. S. I was horrifically sore for a few days afterwards and my feet were killing me. Am I a wuss? Probably. But did I look tough in camo? HELLYES!!!

I’ve been into paintball long enough to know what I like. I enjoy paintball in any outdoor field, which gives that rush of the hunt feeling. Unfortunately, in California, there seem to be very few of these types of fields available. I decided to man up and drive up from San Francisco to give this field a shot. It was hot and dry up there, but it’s normal for the area. Easy registration and reasonable priced for self-equipped players makes this very comfortable field to go to. Self-fill stations for HPA players. This field actually has a lot to get you started playing, so you don’t really have to worry much. The field size: This is a ridiculously huge field! Flanking a defending team is almost like a hike! And there’s practically every thing you find in a wooded field and I definitely recommend a good pair of boots. With the heatwave in the area, breathable clothing is even more important. Bring lots of water! The other players here are respectable. I assume most of them are local players. I haven’t seen anyone wiping or doing something nasty, so that’s always a good thing when playing a fair game. One thing to point out. Because of the field size, the refs will hold breaks on the field itself instead of walking back to the staging area. That means they’ll gather everyone together, make certain that all markers are plugged and put to safe, and then have everyone remove their goggles for a breath of fresh air and water. I like this a lot since it’s hard to get a good circulation of fresh air into your goggles sometimes and this helps prevent heat stroke. If I live in the area, this would be my home field. So many variables and tactics to play around with and the staff are awesome! Definitely stands out among every other field in the bay area in all aspects!

My body is sore, my legs hurt, and I have a throbbing headache from being hit in the head close range with a paintball. I had a blast at this place! Its a really long drive from San Francisco, but if your planning a surprise date and want to really throw your loved one off, what better than paintball in the middle of nowhere! The owners are a riot, they themselves are worth the drive! I’m no pro when it comes to paint-ball, but apparently most fields don’t allow rental guns to run on pre-purchased paint — Action Paintball does allow it, I was actually encouraged by the guy when talking on the phone them. Not only can you bring your own paint, but they also allow some guy to sell & rent higher grade paintball equipment in their parking lot! After a thorough discussion last night, we concluded that Action Paintball will receive 5-stars. Wow, we’ve got the Unilocal bug bad — we actually had a thorough discussion planning our Unilocal review on the drive home.
