I dunno… but this place is tha shit! If you don’t like it then you must be a eggs Benedict chocolate fountain type of person. This is what breakfast is.

Great biscuits, small and large, pancakes were a little dry. This is a great stop for the driver, there is seating for about 20 inside. Very nice, but very busy in the morning.

I have been attendind this Smithfield landmark for many years the food was always over the top great ! Even my kids grew up loving this restaurant. Unfortunately, the owner has been missing as of late and so has the quality of the food. I hate to say i may have purchased my last meal there. When your conversation with your family over a highly anticipated meal turns to nothing but astonishment and dismay over the quality of the food its time to call it quits. My suggestion to the owner. If you are going to retire. Please do so without further damage to your reputation and leave the good hard earned money of the people out of it. Thank you. C W.

This place is what I would call«a whole in the wall» but that’s not a bad thing. The food is very good and affordable. Staff is very nice. The pancakes were very fluffy could have used a bit more flavor. Biscuits are very yummy! Very tasteful grits! I will def stop here when I’m passing by off 95

Best place for breakfast in Smithfield! !there are other«pretend to be UPSCALE» places near court house they don’t have a ¼ of the taste or expertise as these women do. If there is a line around the building that means they are awesome. Really fast. Other place downtown probably at least 30 minute wait when they have no customers. These ladies work hard biscuits made at business. The other place makes there bread and deserts at home then bring then in. Hint business is named after a Rd. Joco local review.

Good, basic biscuit food. Not at all fancy. But you get what you order and it’s good. Your money is not going to be spent on sprucing up the place as it looks and is a very simple outfit. That’s A-OK with me. So my personal debate and trauma — for a divey-looking place it’s pretty good and prices are cheap(thought about 4 stars). But it’s a breakfast food place and do I really want it to look divey?(Came back down to 3 stars) I will gladly eat here again, you get basic food for a basic price and it’s good, even if the location doesn’t look like the Taj Mahal. If it did, my biscuit would cost more.

I grew up going to the Biscuit Stop. Whenever I could find a couple bucks, I’d show up here, go through the drive thru(don’t go in. there’s no room) and grab the unsung hero of the Biscuit Stop: The Cheeseburger. Order one all the way. It comes Carolina Style. You’ll get a massive burger-shaped object wrapped in foil, with a stack of napkins. And as generous as the napkins are, trust… you’re going to run out. Find a spot to pull over and eat, because it’s going to be messy. You’ll love every minute of it. The biscuits aren’t slouchy, either. They’re huge, and always full of toppings. But they pale in comparison to the burger. Not as crispy as I like my biscuits, but great in their own right/style. I always get the cheese biscuit. Please note that if you’re trying to get something after 2pm, you’re fresh out of luck. It’s strictly a 5am-2pm schedule. If you’re hungry after that, drive down to Cook Out.

My review is based on the appearance not the food. It’s more of a to go kind of restaurant. It sits in a corner and has a very ackward drive thru. The parking entrance is one way and the only way out is through the drive through so you have to sit there and wait on whomever is in the drive through to be done getting their order so you can drive around and exit the location. Exiting the way you came in is a suicide mission because there’s a bush that blocks the view of oncoming traffic. When you walk in, there’s no space to stand and wait in line to order at the counter. Good luck finding a place to sit, I counted about four tables in total.

I LOVETHEBISCUITSTOP ! Love it! Love it! Love it! Get off 95 in smithfield and go to the biscuit stop for a breakfast bacon and egg biscuit where you can’t even count the number of strips! A chicken biscuit, deep fried on a biscuit the size of your head! an awesome chiken fried steak biscuit and so many orther choices served by sweet charming redneck women who love to share the love with these delicious biscuit! Open only 6 or 7 am til 2pm. Exit at the Ava Gardener Museum exit in smithfield near the outlet mall then drive into Smithfield proper. pass the Community College and The new York Deli, then left at the light about ¾ mile to the Biscuit Stop on the right. Don’t let the for sale sign scare you, the building is for sale not the Biscuit Stop. if i were you i’d drop what i was doing and race down there and get a biscuit!
