This is one of the worst hardware stores i have ever been to the associates do not help you find anything at all.

Extremely disappointed in customer service or there the lack of. After offering to allow the two men behind me to go in front of me so they could be rung up in a timely fashion and after listening to their repeated remarks of hurrying the cashier up and distracting her verbally as I was attempting to speak with her about my purchase and was unable due to The verbal harassment of the two men behind me. I clearly expressed out loud in front of the co manager how uncomfortable I was feeling based on what was being said behind me and the manager standing next to me said nothing. Nor did the comanager offer to ring the two men up at the other register that he recently was just standing at. Later on I did call and speak with a co manager. when I question the co manager Justin why he didn’t step in and give me assistance he first replied«well it looks like You took care of it.» The sentence that I used twice was as stated to the 2 men that were standing behind me «The way you are speaking you are making this customer extremely uncomfortable.» I made the statement two times Justin the co manager stated first that he did not step in because I handled it and then he stated the cashier did not speak to me because she was intimidated by the statement I the customer made even though the statement was not being made to her. The cashier was involved in counting and ringing up items on the register while listening to the two men behind me. The cashier was not given the opportunity to speak to me, The customer that she was waiting on at that moment. Appropriate and reasonable customer Service was not given before I spoke up Appropriate and reasonable Customer service was not given after I spoke But I still don’t understand why the comanager did not step up and offer customer service assistance? If you were looking for professionalism and or need of assistance due to a disability this may not be the store suited for you. Flower and plant selection is minimal. I will take my Business elsewhere.

My husband and I try to support local businesses and this one has been open for a long long time. It’s so close to my parents house and convenient. It used to be pretty cramped and for a smaller hardware store, they had a lot to choose from. They built and moved into a bigger store right beside it. It’s clean and they provide more home goods which is awesome if you don’t want to go to Chesapeake or across the bridge for something and willing to pay fairly comparable prices. Well that’s all fine and dandy, but the manager, Judson, there ruins it for me. There have been several instances where he has followed my husband around the store, and not to help. We purchased a Christmas tree from them while I was in my 8th month of pregnancy. My husband waited in line and paid like everyone else. It’s not hard to miss my husband, if you see him, you can’t forget him. As I got out of the car, severely pregnant, to look at the tree, my husband strapped it to the car and he ran out – not just walked, ran out to make sure we had paid first. I almost made my husband go back in and ask for a refund because I have never been accused to stealing before, but we just finished up and went home. We have never had an issue at the True Value in Windsor, so we now carry our business there or to Lowes.
