This was the worst massage of my life. I couldn’t get my schedule to mesh with my regular massage therapist, and I had a painful knot in my right shoulder so figured I would give it a try. I told the therapist about my issue, and he asked me how long I wanted him to work on it. All the years with this issue and many different therapists, no one ever asked me that before. I responded, «until the knot is gone.» Well, that never happened. He barely touched my shoulder even after I repeated halfway through that the knot was still there. He also asked me what kind of pressure I preferred, and I said deep pressure. That also did not occur. Pressure was minimal. It was a total waste of $ 99. I left with the same pain I had when I arrived.

I will never go back here again. I feel that the owner Ryan DeMarco is rude, unprofessional, condescending and dishonest. In my experience, his business practices regarding the subscription program are misleading and he seems unconcerned with customer service. He indiscriminately charges a fee for converting already purchased massages to gift cards. It’s a shame, because the massages I have had here were great. There are so many places to get a good massage in the area, so I will not go back to Elements Massage in Smithtown.

The place is good… but whatever you do, don’t make the mistake of using Laura… if she isn’t tipped what SHE feels she deserves you will be hearing from the owner of the massage place!!! How professional!

My therapist was sweet and professional. She did a good job overall, but I didn’t feel she listened carefully to what I wanted to accomplish during my massage session. Her touch was too light and and little too mechanical. Would I try this place again? Perhaps. But I would request a different therapist. I would suggest asking questions and booking the ‘right’ person.

It’s hit or miss. I went for a couples massage with my husband. They had a coupon for 138.00 for the 2 of us. Making appt was easy and Katy seemed nice on the phone. When we got there we were greeted nicely by Ryan. My therapist was Katy and my husband had Diane or she goes by Dee Dee. My massage was decent. My husband on the other hand was a waste of time and money. We were in the same room and his therapist was a talker. She was trying to have a full conversation with us. I thought massage school 101 is to keep quiet so client can relax, unless you are asking if pressure is ok. Then my husband said he was drenched in oil to the point he felt it dripping down his sides. He also said there was barely any technique involved and when there was one that actually felt good, it wasn’t repeated on the other side, i. e the other arm. Just seemed like a sloppy massage. Like I said, mine was decent, so I guess it is hit or miss. My therapist though decent sometime lacked fluidity. When you have a good massage you shouldnt feel her hands off of you. It should flow. So at times it was a bit choppy. Too bad we could not both enjoy the couples massage. We will not go back. We are wary of these membership clubs. We were members at Massage Envy and it was hit or miss there too. Seems like these places hire right out of school with no experience. I know we had a coupon, but you’d think they would give better therapists to entice us to come back.
