About a month ago, my husband and I went into the Smithtown Sleepy’s because we needed a mattress. The salesperson, Steve, was courteous and helpful though he only showed us the more expensive mattresses in the store. The whole thing felt very used-car salesman-ish, but we needed a place to sleep. We eventually half-setlled on a Tempurpedic mattress and adjustable base(around $ 4,000 total). We weren’t sure if we loved it but Steve assured us that we «wouldn’t really know until we slept on it.» Besides, we could easily get our money back or exchange the mattress if we didn’t like it. No problem, right? Well we did not love the mattress, but when we called Sleepy’s they informed us that we had to wait 30 days before they would even speak to us about a return. Okay, kind of annoying since we knew we hated the bed after about a week, but not the end of the world. However, they also let us know that the adjustable base was final sale. Neither of these things were mentioned when we purchased the mattress. We are now in the process of trying to return the mattress since we went to Raymour and Flanigan and purchased something else. Side note: our experience there was great, as there was no pressure from the salespeople and we were actually able to comfortably go around and try everything. Highly recommended. Anyway, we have now been trying to get Sleepy’s to pick up the mattress for the better part of a week to no avail. Every time I speak with someone they tell me another manager has to call me back. Ps-no one ever calls me back. It has been an incredibly frustrating and time consuming experience and I would not recommend Sleepy’s to anyone.

bought a mattress. Was told I had a 120 day comfort exchange. Had an issue at 110 days. They did nothing. Was told to call customer service which was useless. Called back store and spoke with manager about Steve salesman. I went in to buy a mattress from a mattress store not Macy’s. I was looking at $ 2000 mattress was told to buy a $ 4000 mattress which I did. Now I’m stuck. I would never buy from them again. This was the 5th mattress I purchased from sleepys in 10 years. They just lost a life long customer.
