As much as I would love to dote upon a local mom-&-pop style restaurant, this place is far over-priced for the amount of food provided. The taste was great, home-style cooking, but I would price the meat & three during lunch at about $ 5.00, not $ 7.75 plus drink. Total for meal is around $ 11 per plate & drink. Portions are not exactly«heaping.» For the money and food genre, I would more highly recommend Farmer’s Family Restaurant

Great BBQ pork and chicken, it was catered so I plan to check out others dishes now.

Good southern meat and three. Not many of these left. You won’t be disappointed. Just make sure that check their hours before you drive out there, as their hours are very limited.

A little unheard of gem. Lived here for 5 years and never heard of it. Definitely worth going back to for a meat and 3.

We stopped in here during Depot Days today. I had never heard of this particular restaurant before. I feel like I have just wasted the last three years we have lived here not knowing about this gem! The food was AMAZING! Before today I have never had a meatloaf I liked, and theirs is amazing. The food served today(for depot days) was a sampler and I can legitimately say I loved EVERYTHING. The atmosphere is that of a hole in the wall diner, which I personally love. I am so glad we discovered this restaurant and we will definitely return!

Sorry to have to take this review average down a bit but I would expect home cooking at a home cooking type place. Mac and cheese seemed like it was from a box and fried chicken was dry and un-spiced. Brussel sprouts were way over cooked even by country home cooking standards and weren’t so tasty. Roll was pre-bought and finally the iced tea was a powder — you know the kind — pre-lemoned with something other than sugar. The two stars was for fast friendly service and a wholely acceptable and clean establishment. Add some more flair and attention to the food and a winner will emerge!

This place is in the perfect location for downtown Smyrna. It keeps that locally owned business feel going. Me and my wife went there for lunch It was some regular home cooked southern soul food. They are very religious. You don’t have to be to eat there. haha. Very basic. paper plates/cups. Red checkered table cloths. Very friendly service. All I can say Home cooking, Corn bread/mashed potatoes, broccoli, rice, ham, chicken and lots of gravy! Never see alot of people there. I think they close dinner hours. I would probably go back since its in the neighborhood. A++ Support local businesses in your community!

I can’t believe that no one has rated this place yet. I used to go here damn near daily when I worked in the area. Grew up in Smyrna, and this is where I go for Chicken and Dressin’ Thursdays! I live in San Diego now, and I can not wait until I visit in 15 days so that I can eat here at least three times while I’m visiting.
