Second time reviewing this place. Second time I am literally disgusted with it. We wanted BBQ on a Sunday, no other place was open. I walked in around 4:30 pm, and could hear arguing as soon as I got out of the car. Walked in, a man and a woman were inside, completely drunk (we’re talking slam hammered here) and arguing over the same pair of glasses. I ordered, and after they figured out how to read the sign, and what their menu consisted of, got my order together. I got home, and found an extra container in the bag, when we opened it, it was a container full of old, slimy, left over odds and ends that were mixed together and smelled bad. On top of that, the rest of the food was ice cold. No one in the house could touch the food after what we saw in that container. Absolutely pathetic and disgusting AGAIN! Never, ever, eat here.

The food is very good but when I went in there the man was falling down drunk and actually had a bottle of liquor on the counter which he had poured into his cup drinking it straight. He even offered me some! Which was nice of him I guess (free drinks?), except that I don’t drink. You just don’t do that in your place of business. It’s not professional. I will not go back, ever.

This review is based on service. I called ahead of time to ask if this place had brisket, the guy I spoke to said «we have brisket, but I’m not sure if it’s cut up». I said, «ok, do you have brisket that I can purchase?». He then said «yes». So I drove to cbq to pick up some brisket. This is where it gets interesting. I walk in and ask for a family pack which includes a pound of meat and two side items, the guy behind the counter seemed stoned or about to go into cardiac arrest. He wouldn’t lift a finger and kept trying to sell me 2 brisket sandwiches, I had to tell him 3 times that I wanted at least a pound of it. He kept mumbling things to the girl actually doing the work behind the counter, I stood there for 5 minutes before he could relay to me that they can’t give me my order because the brisket «isn’t cut up». It was cooked, just not cut up and this lazy pos wouldn’t get up to do it. I came close to telling him to just give me a f***ing knife and i will cut it myself! I finally just bought some pork because I was tired of this BS. Then came the issue with the sides, I wanted white beans and cornbread (pretty sure that’s something a BBQ joint keeps in stock) but no, they were out of both. Instead of making cornbread and cutting the brisket, this A-​hole just sat there watching Mr. And Mrs. Smith on the TV. Not sure who this guy was, but he didn’t need to be anywhere near the restaurant industry. The epitome of a redneck and what people think about Tennesseeans. The BBQ that I purchased was good, but F*** this place for the service.

The best bbq in town! They are so nice and the food is just right! Large parties, don’t hesitate — they will fix you up! Cornbread authentic and amazing… Smoked turkey — oh yeah…

One day we drove by CBQ and smelled one of the most delicious barbecue scents we’d ever sniffed. My boyfriend made a U-​turn and we stopped at CBQ!
When you walk in you’ll feel like you’re in grandmas kitchen as there it literally only a small couch and a small front desk. The sweet lady inside has all of her delicious soul food bubbling away in various crock-​pots in the back. The macaroni and cheese, greens, you name it… Are all hot, saucy, and bubbling when they come out!
Outside there is a huge smoker and the smell of delicious BBQ is like heaven! We orded two pulled pork sandwiches and the meat was so tender and smokey… Yet the sauce was absolutely to die for! The secrets in the sauce! And they have more than one to try, to boot!
The food was also very very cheap for what you get. It is also piping hot, flavorful and plentiful. I would recommend this little place to anyone who wants some good, hot soul food! There really isn’t a place to eat there so it is takeout only!

Wonderful service! I’ve even visited when they were closed, just called ahead and they had it ready on their off time. It also helps that the ribs are awesome!
