My experience this go round was much more pleasant the all my other previous visits here and the food is always good.

Fantastic value. My whole family can eat(and even have a little left over) for under $ 20. I thought the fries were«OK», but then I figured out to ask for Cajun seasoning on them… YUM! They have sooooo many milkshake choices, although I almost always choose a Cheerwine float. Yes, they have Cheerwine in their soda fountain! The BBQ plate is probably my vote for best value. $ 4 gets a HUGE serving of BBQ, fries, cole slaw, and several(delicious) hush puppies. They season the BBQ meat & it’s moist, so no need for sauce(but if that’s your thing, go ahead). If you’re not a fan of mayo, be mindful that mayo is automatically on every sandwich, so order exactly how you want it.(Interesting to note they get a fresh meat delivery every day, and their burgers are never frozen.) Everything tastes just like a Summer backyard cookout or tailgating party! Top it off with friendly workers and super quick service. Some of the best fast food out there!

So so. Could have gotten much more food for about the same quality elsewhere. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it was bad, but I have gotten bigger chicken sandwiches and burgers from other places around town that were less expensive, just as fresh and quicker.

This place is an interesting case. I will start with the menu. Let me begin by saying that neither my wife nor I have ever been here before. The way the menu is laid out is borderline ridiculous. There’s literally hundreds of options, sides, and almost TOO many different kinds of foods… sandwiches, burgers, chicken, quesadillas, hotdogs, corndogs, I could go on and on. Is this a bad thing? Not necessarily, but the menu is WAYY too confusing. While the price is decent, the food received is sub-par. We opted for a $ 5 meal deal that came with a burger, 2 sides, and a drink. This is a good price for what is received; however, the quality of food was lacking for us. All our party’s burgers were extremely overdone, borderline burnt, dry, and lacking any form of seasoning. The fries were ho-hum. I opted for a chicken quesadilla as my second side, and it was the saddest quesadilla ever. There was absolutely no actual chicken in the thing and barely enough cheese to matter. In essence, it was a lukewarm tortilla shell folded in half. My wife opted for the small cup of chili. She didn’t complain, but didn’t rave about it. You have to ask for ketchup, and if visiting the inside, they do not have it out at a table for sides/complements. Also, the inside is so small(only about 8 tables or so) and both the side and front doors so close, that when it is cold outside, your entire meal will be frigid before you get a chance to eat it if you stay. The only plus I can think of(other than a decent price) is that my wife said she enjoyed her chocolate shake. Go if you want, it’s not an expensive meal, just be prepared for an underwhelming taste and quality experience.

This place is cheap fried food. Also my daughter was served raw bacon! The tea & fries was the only good things.

So first, the value is superb. My wife, seven-year-old twins, five-year-old and myself ate here for about $ 18. The food? My burger was good — not the best I’ve had, but still pretty good. The fries were average. The chili was too salty. The cole slaw and hush puppies were quite good, and the kids wolfed down their corn dogs. I also was pleasantly surprised to see Cheerwine on the menu. The big issue was two-fold. A side order of french fries and hush puppies took 26 minutes to be served. After about 15 minutes, I notified the counter employees we were still waiting and got blank stares. Finally a gentleman came from the back. Apologetic and he asked if he could offer us milkshakes to make up for it. I told him no. We were getting pressed for time and so close to bed time, I didn’t want my kids getting sugared up. I told him no. What does he do? He comes to the table and asks the girls directly if they want milkshakes. The excessive wait for the fries and hush puppies and him going around my explicit wishes to directly offer three children seven and under something I told him not too was a bit much for me.

Broke as hell? This is your place. Buy stuff because you just want to try a bite… It’s that cheap.

Great grilled taste. Nothing is of form which makes it so awesome. You may get a bigger cut of pickle or tomato, but that makes it what it is… like a cookout.

Good food and great prices. You wouldn’t expect the quality with how low the prices are, but I prefer Cookout over any other fast food! You et to vuild your own burgers and hot dogs. They also have a ton of milkshake options as well = delicious.

Cook out is awesome and worth every penny! Burgers are great and everything is really grilled and tastes like you are at a cook out. I have eaten at different locations including Nashville and in North Carolina. Every time I am impressed!

I fell in love with cookout in Murfreesboro but I have to say the one in Smyrna is showing better speed in the drive thru. Also they have better customer service. And I have noticed how hot their food is. The best prices and best tasting American barbecue food in Smyrna

I stopped by for lunch having never eaten at cookout before. The place is usually packed but fortunately I got there at a good time. I was quite hungry and ordered a bacon and cheddar hot dog, small cheeseburger, fries, coleslaw and a soda. The total was amazingly only about 8 bucks. And even though the prices are great, the food was even a better surprise. The fries are obviously quite fresh not frozen, the burger I would compare to five guys possibly even better. The hotdogs and coleslaw were also really good. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting fast food. Ultra pleased.

New restaurant for Smyrna. Great food but drive thru needs work. I got someone else order by mistake. It happens. Love the grilled chicken.

I stopped by here around 5:30pm on a Wednesday. The place was packed. The drive thru line was long but luckily for me it moved fast. You can tell they actually grill the burgers because you can see the smoke billowing from the building. I ordered the regular cheese burger(¼ lb) & a regular order of fries with Cajun seasoning on them. The total was $ 4.59. Not bad. The burger reminds me of a five guys burger, but maybe a little better. The party was fairly thick. The bun wasn’t smushed like five guys usually does. The fries were good. A nice portion of food for the price. They’ve got a ton of milkshake options, along with some different chicken sandwiches. I was a little daunted looking at the drive thru menu as this was my first time at a Cookout. I also stopped by later that night around 12:45am as they’re open till 2am durning the week &3am Friday & Saturday. I was on my way home from working late & decided to try the chicken quesadilla. It’s $ 2.99& comes with two quesadillas. The chicken in it tastes like it was from a breasts that was grilled, so some of the ends can be crisp. Not bad for $ 2.99. My only issue with this Cookout is the staff. On the late night visit when I pulled up to the window it was apparent that I was being talked about. It’s not normal for 3 staff members to peer out the window & giggle & keep looking & then talking to each other. I waited for my food after paying & almost drove off because it was so annoying. I guess the staff has never waited on a gay person before. Bless them.

I love burgers. I have never tried Cookout Burgers and I was pleasantly surprised. I rate Cookout Burgers great for the price and for the quality. I will definitely go to Cookout Burgers again! This place just opened, so it was busy. I did not wait long for my order! Good Job, Cookout!
